One of the most exciting players to watch as a kid. Collected baseball cards and was thrilled when I would open up a pack and score a Ricky Henderson. Thank you for the memories.
Was a special kind of player for sure
there's a kid growing up in the late 80s collecting sports cards. It was tough to find his rookie card but I had gotten one and felt good every time I looked at it as an adult now watching over the pandemic. I had a few of his rookie cards 9!even possibly a 10. Rickey Henderson will always be somebody special.

Aw man I didn't know he passed away. He was so fast. I got to see his speed as a kid. Used to go to all their games. I got his autograph and Mark McGuires during a game. I'll never forget it. Rest in peace. Hope he's even faster with his angel wings.

No Basball Player is Worth this kind of money!! Baseball needs to incorporate a salary Cap like Football, Hockey and basketball. Al;beit even as a Mets Fan, this is Ridiculous !! If you want to go merely by the eye test, let's just count the first 10 seasons of Trout's career, I can say, "wElL, hE oNlY hAd " -man, that's tiresome-the Angels only had 5 losing seasons. Both the Lions and Angels also each had one great season, along with several slightly above average ones, to go along with those good seasons. So, no, not a bad comparison. Go try talking down to somebody who doesn't know what they're talking about.
