A long time ago, I used to want to get into the newspaper comics field. Nowadays, I am happy to just draw comics as a hobby. I have also been reading less other people's comics in recent years, and enjoy making my own.

I personally would rather make my own comics than read other people's comics, to be honest. Except that I find people's tastes for questionable stuff depressing.

Ever notice that the very same comics end up among the top ten greatest? Lack of diverse opinion, I say.

I guess it is not a great comic strip, unless it has the initials "C" and "H." 🙃

I loved the show, I loved the idea behind in fact I believe it is a classic. I hope the rectify their mistake and bring it back.

Interesting take on it. Originality only works once, and then they try franchising it. I am working on something I think people would enjoy because it doesn't really have a category. I guess that is the definition of original right there, but I am unknown, so what do I know? No charge for that one.

I liked "Powerless" quite well, but as others have mentioned, there wasn't much chance of the show drawing viewers away from Big Bang Theory. This happens fairly often, shows like "Seinfeld" didn't draw a big audience until NBC moved the show around until they found a spot on Thursday where it could thrive. Many years earlier, "My Living Doll" with Julie Newmar ran for a single season to good reviews, but poor ratings because someone thought it should be shown at the same time as the extremely popular "Bonanza".

I also loved this show! I'm not a hardcore DC fan, but just wanted a half-hour of entertainment and I felt they delivered with lots of quips and callbacks. I also loved Van Wayne's character (or lack thereof), and the dynamics between the design trio, Emily, and Jackie got the comedy done. I didn't think too much about real-world logic or moral messaging. And I thought it's natural to make a Luthor-as-president joke and was surprised and delighted they had the ability to actually do it.

How to fix the companions, replace yazz with queen coral, replace Ryan with jar jar binks, and replace greyham with Spyro the dragon from skylanders (the toy version) because I actually can’t think of anything to replace him with. Edit: who is Dan, replace him with Dan from Dan vs. there now we have a good finale Dan vs the doctor.

This era and the 15th Doctors new season are definitely my least favorite of nu who and the several seasons I've seen of classic who. My enjoyment of an era really has to do with the characterization of the Doctor, which is lacking in both the 13th and 15th Doctors. Who both have good actors that are written terribly. Of course there a lot of other problems with these seasons but in my opinion, getting the Doctor right is the most important.

That is a good question! I still have the same wonder about Imaginary Mary, which aired in the same television season on ABC. In different ways, Imaginary Mary and Powerless both have a unique premise with a special gimmick that makes it very difficult to balance two separate but related parts of their own worlds. Imaginary Mary has a line between Alice's imaginary friend Mary versus non-imaginary people in Alice's real life, and Powerless has a line between the backdrop of a comedic DC property's essence and its own new assortment of original characters (plus Van Wayne). They both have cool, unusual and ambitious ideas and their executions of them are not terrible, but they are still very disappointing. November 3, 2024, 9:35pm

I loved this show. I just recently saw the unaired pilot with a different concept.

Sums up why i wasnt a big fan of this movie. Reinforces why im not surprised at the negative reaction to the sequel.

I don't give a crap about what this guy is saying. The show wanted to do something different. This is from the perspective of the powerless. Not everyone is a geek

The show didn't get a chance like Seinfeld, and that show stunk the first season. Anyway your critique on the show was to me just a fanboy complaint, when it comes to Comic book stories the movies & television hardly ever stick to comic book lore so get over it. The was fun to watch but I think the CW would have been more appropriate for this series, since all DC shows were on that Network.

I remember George Shrinks. Remembered very well. As for his size, it was explained in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it conversation. He was born that way. His dad even described George's miniature size in his infancy. There's the possibility that shortness runs in their family. Maybe. It would explain the family's name. (Green Fury - Fire). I'm not familiar, but I'm nonetheless going to say her name was probably changed back because "Fire" is an absolutely *terrible* name for a superhero. One word, one syllable, common word, multiple meanings and definitions in several contexts. A superhero name should immediately call to mind the superhero, not 7 other possible meanings.

I can't say I "remember Powerless" because I'd never even heard of it until very recently, after it's been off the air for years. It's exactly my kind of show and I would have *loved* to watch it... if I'd *known* about it. If it flopped, I'm inclined to think it was a failure of marketing rather than necessarily there any problem with the show itself.
