Redneck to Tesla Owner (3 reasons I bought a Tesla) comparison

Join me on a journey from my redneck roots to owning a Tesla! In this video, I share my personal experience of transitioning from a 1993 Chevy long box extra cab to a sleek Tesla, and why I believe it's a great choice for many. While a lot of people are buying Teslas because for environmental impact, performance, and brand appeal, that is not why I bought a Tesla. Despite initial doubts, I foun...
Milwaukee Battery Powered LED Light Rope DIY for Camping
มุมมอง 1.8Kปีที่แล้ว
In this video I will make a DIY light rope that plugs into my Milwaukee Fuel 18v battery. I always have 18v batteries laying around so this is a great solution to use what I already have. The light rope is great for stringing through my roof top tent, laying out on a picnic table, hanging through trees while camping, or lighting up a room when the power goes out in the house. With this set up I...
Crabbing 2022 Washington State

I got a call from a good friend asking if we wanted to take the family out for an evening picnic and crabbing in the San Juan Islands. We used old salmon heads from a previous catch to bait the crab. They are bottom feeders the more stinky the better. We put in 3 pots for about 4 hrs and got about 14 crab. We are crabbing in the Bellingham area at about 60' of water. We will go over how to tell...
Balance bike to pedal bike How to transition

We will share with you guys a couple tricks on how we transitioned from a balance strider bike to a pedal bike, from strider to rider! Balance bikes are great for learning how to balance but when it comes time to ride a real bike it can be a challenge to learn how to pedal. I built a bike stand for my son to teach him how to pedal his new bike.

Nice. After the looking at jibs/cranes, i think this will work the best for my situation. I’m doing this! With a hoist, I’m going to try it with shorter 2x6s… less travel to the roof rack and should lessen the flex.

I know a gypsy village in Europe, where everyone burns wet wood, burns anything, including furniture with lchemical coatings for generations, yet there has never been a fire caused by a chimney igniting... And the fires that people describe here are caused by completely different causes than creosete. For example, the properties of the chimney itself..

Oh so maybe didn’t catch fire cuz might have some moisture and also is cold at the time of video? Interesting, hey any one have any knowledge why i can’t keep the fire going in my Chamine? Its like this one in the video, type of wood stove inside the chamine. Hard to start the fire and also it doesn’t last, besides this also i noticed got a lot of smoke inside the house. Crazy. I smoked the house. I know is also dirty but I don’t understand. I noticed my opening has a failed door seal of the fiberglass around the door thing Of the stove. But still the smoke should been dragged out by the chamine up to the roof right?

That’s a heavy tent I think that’s around 200+ lbs, might consider reinforcing or doubling up on the boards. If I was gonna try it I would get a couple more 2x4s and screw them on edge to the back of the runners, otherwise you might get a lot of board flex when the tent is in the center when sliding. Does that make sense? Where you from?

Has anyone ever had a problem with instability of your vehicle while accelerating or braking with free surface in the pipe? Water weighs a lot! It's high up. It's on one side. Would it be wise to construct a simple small long pipe interspersed with wide perforated collars or flanges into the 6" pipe to baffle and break down the rush of water from one end to the other? Maybe I worked as a tanker officer for too long.

@@natenesstv6685 Long Range RWD, early serial number. But, I don't think the battery size matters much on a road trip, honestly. I can't recall any recent trips where I've had to use anything close to a full charge for any particular stretch between charging stalls. And, the charging is so fast now that it's hardly a factor in trip quality for me. I'm about to trade in my 2012 F150 and my Model 3 for a Cyberbeast. Parting with my Model 3 will be hard. I've never had a car I've enjoyed more, or that's cost me less to own. In Idaho I charge at ~11-12 cents per KWH for daily driving. Such a great car, and SW updates have made it better and better.

On the road trip/range anxiety note, you should check out Out Of Spec Studios if you haven't heard of them. They run a group of channels that do a lot of EV testing and on their Out of Spec Motoring channel, they do a bunch of very long road trips with individual EVs as well as road trip races between various EVs, usually 800 miles or more. They show really well how to optimize your charging and get the most out of your range so you aren't having to wait for an hour at every stop. They're very long videos though, usually around 2-3hrs and some are even multiple parts each being that long, but they take you through the whole process. The race they did from Vegas to Colorado between the Lucid Air, Model S, and Porsche Taycan a few months ago is one of their best, and they just recently put out a 3 part series racing some of the new EV trucks from coast to coast. Their main Out Of Spec Reviews channel also does specific range testing, running them all the way until they die on the side of the highway to show how well the software in the car reports the actual battery capacity and how the car responds when the battery dies.
