Why would you use wasd for an RTS I understand it for fps but not rts hell you use the mouse and mini map way more the the direction buttons

I was so happy to see this on GoG and eventually, Steam. I hope we get a Portal Runner port one day, both are super nostalgic for me. Speaking of mods, there's a great one that adds in the Special Ops mode from the console releases. It even replicates the unlock conditions and rewards. It does remove the main menu Boot Camp and Load buttons, but you can load from the pause menu and Boot Camp is Boot Camp, not super necessary.

5:15 Left click to both select and move is Command & Conquer standard. As someone whose blood cells probably all have miniature Kane or Tim Curry or etc. faces on them by now, I am a bit biased to this control scheme, but I can see why it would throw off people coming from most other RTSs. Definitely would have been nice if this game had a toggle option for players who prefer left or right click to issue orders.

I have Some few Question about it: 1) What is your game genre The most? 2) When is a next videogame reviews and anniversary of 10th, 15th, 20th, 30th and more. 3) congratulations for 500 to 600 subscribe, DopedBones. (Also, I love Real Time Strategy or rts).

The resolution thing is a buzzkill here, as I doubt this game has a windowed mode, but otherwise, it was great to watch a review of a game I played a bit of as a kid.

"I was there 3000 years ago" This game was a total gem, one of the most underated RTS games I have ever played(along with empire earth 1,but atleast ee1 was kinda huge back in the day,Rise and fall never got the player counts it deserved) Too bad it's insanely difficult(or should I say random) to get it to work with windows 10 or later, you might be lucky and have no issues or you might be in the other 60-80% of user who have some stupid library missing errors(I have tried to run it many different machine, many different forms of windows .rarely it ever works)

I liked the game back at release. The steam punk faction had a cool look,but the units were too strong.

I have fond memories of this game. By "Fond" I mean everyone rushing to T5 and brawling Wolverine/SpermWhale mixes because it had the echolocation ranged attack and over 1k hp.

Childhood classic until Sarge drops the A bomb during the "Dishes of Valor" mission in the kitchen. Had to sneak back a copy of that game later as a teen.

i loved crossing the praying mantis with the whale. It made for a huge bipedal Insect monstrosity, that was amphibious, had dangerous claws and a sonar ranged attack while being super tanky.

I never actually played this but I was acutely aware of it as a child as something that just sounded stupidly awesome, especially with how much I played Black and White. Then of course, later Spore.

Niiice, I remember picking this game up as a kid from a bargain bin at Hastings. I would play it constantly and remember excitedly downloading the DLC, though I've never encountered any visual glitches. Didn't know peeps modded it on Steam, so that's something I'm excited to check out. Good vid, brought back memories.

God, thank you for this. Impossible Creatures was on my video essays to make list and now that somebody else made a really great one, I don't need to anymore! You have no idea how glad I am to hear it has such a strong modding community on steam, too. Also I haven't played it for decades but I can still hear "The critters are under attaaaaaccck" somehow.
