renderset 2.0 update release
And it's a big one. Complete overhaul with many new changes suggested by you - our users. To this day you surprise us with new use-cases and pipelines with renderset.
With version 2.0 many new workflows became available.
The most notable changes are:
- Store Anything (locations, materials, custom properties, almost anything you can imagine)
- Multi-Edit (you don't need to edit all the newly stored properties one by one)
- Renaming Output Filenames (no more .001 in render names)
- Blender 4.2 compatibility
- Improved Lister
- Improved UI based on feedback to make it even easier for both new and existing users

@@adampreisler5679 Indeed! I can see the clipping issues, and that I could align the interior scenes better, and other stuff. Very helpful feedback, which is appreciated. However the glass on the main windows is fine. It´s tinted, and I wouldn´t change it. :P

Hi, can you add different context using the same single camera, like location, clipping distance, dof, focal length? Without adding extra camera's?
This is the problem with Blender, Cycles is not photorealistic, looks like a game engine.
Love the update! one thing that could be done is the material car can go to another mesh, for exemple, i create a new car part and add it and use the texture/material of the car. otherwise we have to create material from scratch. But love the add-on! keep doing the good work

If I'm working with Octane and I need all the batch renderings to be from the output Octane Output, would it work?
If you plug it into the file output of renderset it should work fine. Renderset supports Octane.
What about collection visibility and holdouts?
why after installation it shows as just botaniq instead of polygonic tab ? please advise

Animation features work in blender 4.1 or 4.2
The ability to store transforms, collection etc. opens so much possibilities. A great tool, love it!

Why in the world do we have to rotate the objects on the Y axis? Even with your own objects, I was trying to scatter trees from botaniq and always thought it was some kind of bug. Please fix the thing so it makes sense
Hi, we have unfortunately no control over this, it is internal Blender thing. In 3D space in Blender the Z axis is up, whereas in particle system the Y is up axis. blenderartists.org/t/why-is-particle-orientation-hack-required/1160572 we actually do work around this and if you add assets from our asset packs to scatter using engon now they are rotated correctly
@@polygoniq I'm not sure I understand. Whenever I add a tree to a scatter the orientation is broken. Am I supposed to convert it to a mesh in the scene?
@@grenoblica scatter only supports mesh objects so yes it needs to be converted first and then rotated 90 degrees along Y axis

Sick, whats the plan for people who already bought the full 3D shaker tree addon and own Botaniq?
Usual for shaker to act like this. Even their 200$ pack of « all trees » contain in reality only half of their collection.
AFAIK 3D Shaker offers a coupon code for upgrading with a huge discount.

i notice the automatic follow path works only 1 way. is it possible to animate forward and reverse movement at the same time?
Select the keyframe in timeline and then in the N panel go to modifiers :)

Fantastic tools guys. I just bought a bunch of them. I have been working in Archviz with 3Ds max for 12 years now, and your tools along with Geo-Scatter is making Blender a viable alternative to 3Ds max. Great stuff keep it up.
