Girl idk why they cut out so many short scenes, like all together it would have added not even 10 more minutes to the run time. which isn't a big deal at this point with dune 2 being 6 min longer and the batman 16 min.

Damn, that deleted scene shows us that nothing Elphaba could have ever done would have been enough for her father. The only thing Nessarose did was get a boyfriend. Elphaba is literally getting personally tutored by one of the most well known sorceresses in the country, is popular and has loads of friends and got a personal invitation to meet the Wizard, yet he still acts like she’s nothing. What a horrible man, the true villain of this movie.

Apparently they had a montage of Glinda, Elfie, Nessa, Boq, and Fiyero hanging out as friends. The footage hasn’t been released (as far as I know). But I’d assume it included scenes of Fiyero flirting with Elfie or them stealing glances at one another with Boq taking notice to it. Then this interaction between Boq and Elfie would’ve a made a lot more sense I personally think they should’ve kept both of these scenes 🎬. They show how close knit this friend group was. And so when everyone turns against each other in making Part 2, it makes it all the more emotional 💔😭😭

When Shen Shen and Pfanne coming out of no where was so random 😂

I really wish they kept the last scene and removed the "Boq meets Nessa's dad" scene. It shows how the "popular" scene took more of an effect, as well with how Glinda and Elphaba's relationship grew

I'm glad they cut that Boq and Elphaba scene. It woudl have been super jarring and out of nowhere given they don't have any scenes or dialogue together before that point. At no point in the movie do those two have a conversation or scenes together that would validate that level of closeness and knowledge, especially not Boq knowing a damn thing about her feelings for Fiyero. It'd make no sense for him to know that about her.

I’d like an extended version either these deleted scenes put back in. I don’t care if the movie gets longer.

Oh my gosh! Thank you!!! My mom & I adore this movie & we hate how there were deleted scenes that added so much to the story & were cut. We both paid for it lol. I have a digital copy & so does she but I never use mine since I refuse to watch this movie without her & we use hers. Lmao. But I love having backup copies of movies & shows I love. Thank you.

the screenwriter seemed very lost. there are so many scenes that drag out with no dialogue and the characters just make a bunch of faces to express their emotion... idk if they were scared to write too much dialogue in fear of hurting the source material, but i just wish they had earned the runtime with more story and dialogue. too much of it was spent on the visuals. still LOVED the film!
