Most of the music sounds to me like throwing glass bottles and metal parts of different sizes into a garden shredder - the kind you’d normally use to grind up small branches and twigs - and now they’re all flying around chaotically inside. And back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, we thought that the techno style of that time was already extreme, but compared to today, it was actually pretty mild, and you could still identify individual melodic fragments.

Thank you for using more obscure examples and artists. Most people use super mainstream examples

liquidstep and vocalstep missed out. Both are basically melodic dubstep, but liquid are melodies any sound while vocal is dusbtep with lyrics and the melodies are provided by the vocals also

appreciate the video but instead of going alphabetical order i'd emplore you to stack them. Like dont give me brostep + riddim together before giving me them seperately ya know? Other than that solid vid thanks.

I have been mostly listening to deathstep and it's surrounding genres lately and I'm surprised orchestral deathstep is not on there!! Literally our most famous artist from the genre Code: Pandorum is a god (pun intended to Code fans) of orchestral deathstep, his use of choir vocals (as a choirist myself) gives me the chills. Beauty and brutality at the same time (Calvaire by him is my 4ever fave <3 )
