Some important things you missed or didn't mention. 1. The White Lizard can climb on background walls, but it CAN'T climb on ceilings like Blue Lizard can. Only Blue, Eel, and Neon (Cyan) Lizards can do that. 2. You don't actually have to let the lizard take the food back to it's den. The lizard just has to see you drop the food for them. This is indicated by the lizard making a special "happy" noise when it picks up the food. If it doesn't make the happy noise, it didn't see you drop the food and your reputation won't go up with it. Also, it will only do this once per throw, so if it grabs the food, fumbles it accidentally, and then grabs it again, it won't make the happy noise the second time. Unless you run in and grab the food and throw it again. You can actually abuse this trick to grab the food out of their mouth as they're trying to carry it away, and drop it in front of them again so they can snatch it up. If you do this right, they will make the happy noise each time, so you can gain extra reputation with just one piece of food by just constantly throwing it to them. Obviously this trick is VERY DANGEROUS to try with Red Lizards so you may actually just want to let them take the food and get them new food each time... 3. Another thing to note about lizard rep is that if you feed lizards enough times, you can actually gain GLOBAL FRIENDLINESS with ALL LIZARDS EVERYWHERE. When this happens, all lizards will ignore you and let you walk around them safely and never attack you. And the best part is that you don't have to feed a bunch of different lizards each time, you can just tame one lizard, and constantly feed that one to eventually gain global reputation. It's like a reward for treating your lizard pal properly. 4. For this reason I would say Black Lizards are a great way to earn lizard rep, especially if you're not confident in your ability to snatch and re-throw food. In the Shaded Citadel there's a room that is just infested with black lizards. If you save in the shelter just a bit north-east of this room, you can constantly bring them Lantern Mice from other rooms nearby. Repeat this process for a few cycles and you'll not only have some very friendly black lizards, you'll eventually gain GLOBAL LIZARD FRIENDLINESS.

Fun fact: If the lizard is not tamed you also can get the friend advance, but it has to be alive tho. I found that when a green one thought that my bunker was a free rent hotel :)

10:30 side note, side note yellow overseer's in survivor campaign respawn every cycle but I wouldn't recommend it because that tells you where you should go

I use custom lizards to make the game worse and i have only beaten it once with custom lizards (i switch the lizards every campaign nearing the end of hunter moving to gormand give me some ideas if you would like)

first time i played the game (as Monk), i had one Scavenger that i helped defeat a lizard near Shaded's entrance and they ran to the shelter with me during the rain. lost them for a bit after that, but then they miraculously showed up with the same rep in Filtration System and helped me all the way down to the (X) room in Depths. they stopped at the entrance while i obviously had to continue, but i still had a spare pearl in my stomach that i gave them before i left. i hope that scav made it back to their tribe okay. 🤝

Another good to know fact about white lizards, since most players seem to struggle with those the most, be it new or a veteran; They have the lowest desire to chase their prey longer distances, preferring to return to their hiding spot and wait it out. So running away as fast as you can and putting ground between you and it, alternatively never getting close to them unless necessary, and you are usually good. That last part especially is important. They might very well have even *spotted* you, but they will usually wait for you to come within tongue-range instead of giving chase. An especially aggressive one might break its camouflage to come running at you, but they will mostly prioritize staying hidden until within killing range. And if they *do* start chasing you, they give up the easiest out of all lizards.
