He's not gay. He looks it; but isn't. Married to a woman and everything. Gays and disco people would have liked his macho man, chest hair image. Teens don't and didn't respond to it. He was a jazz guitarist and this was his foray into commercial pop music. He played with Stevie Wonder and he loved Miles Davis. The record company saw George Michael-type potential in him but he didn't fit into that role. Pay close attention to his face and eyes. Dead pan; lifeless. He's not a "star" but a gifted and confident musician. Don't get me wrong. I think he's great. He's exceedingly cool to me but I'm not cool by any measure.
