The current top selling veggie dicer is the Fullstar. They have various models, including a line dedicated to chopping and another designed to be an all-in-one. We also wanted to make sure to include the classic mandoline style of slicer; the top selling unit here is the Mueller. Lastly, we grabbed four food processor style choppers; all these models were manually operated except for the Black & Decker which was electric.
With a wide range of these devices we set out to not only answer the question of do these things actually work but which of these styles or products would be the best to purchase.
Our testing revealed a wide range of performance results - most of it bad - uneven chopped onions and garlic, smashed tomatoes, and devices that required instrumental force to operate.
