Not sure what you mean. But if you want to start a Home Care agency you first have to look into your state regulations to see if a license is required and if they are issuing any. Just reach out if you need help.

There is a formal Change of ownership if you already own an license it would be a simple asset purchase and closure plan, if you are buying an agency as described you simply have to follow change of ownership process of the state.

Great content. Question, how do you go about gaining insight on the currency plan the physicians are using to determine if you can suggest a different MCO plan that would hypothetically pay a higher doctor visit rate?
Good question! MCO will always pay more than straight medicaid and as will Pace programs. So lead with do you take medicaid clients then do they work with X plans. If they don't work with x plans you let them know you can help get them enrolled and the rates are good, then assist with negotiations and you will see rates on both sides.

Yes first establish a list of 20 people who have a payer and would want to attend, then find a site that already meets the standards of the licensing body/state/oversite committee. Those 2 steps will save you a small fortune. If you need one on one assistance book a call at www.passiveworkforce.com

Hey Karl, my wife has been a pediatric skilled visits nurse for a few years in Colorado. There are some cases that have been extremely difficult to get a pdn to staff due to drug abuse/filthy homes so no one wants to watch the kids there all day. The idea is to start a facility that would act as a “day care” for these kids where parents would drop off the kid that needs skills for the day. Any idea if this is a valid concept concerning licensing?
I think it's a great idea but you may run into secondary licensing requirements at a day care center. I have never heard of a plan sponsored day care but if you can demonstrate that by providing a safe place Mon-Fri where the kiddos get 2 meals, care, and out of a toxic environment that there is a reduction in plan expenses I can see the plans going for it.

Meaning 1.5x the pay rate. So if you are paying $50/hour your bill rate should be $75 which 1.5x$50. Bill Rate = pay rate × 1.5
