Messiah Revealed in the Hebrew Scriptures

Have you ever wondered how it is that Wise Men knew anything of a Jewish King and wanted to worship him? This sermon covers some key prophecies that answer these questions and show how they reveal Yeshua has to be the promised Messiah of the Hebrew Scriptures.

King David and Solomon thought Solomon would build God's house and God would be a father to him in 1 Chronicles 22:9-11, 1 Kings 8:15-20, and 1 Chronicles 28:2-10.
This is all assuming that the Gospels are historically accurate. If they are, then Jesus may be the Messiah. But we have no good reason to believe the Gospels are an accurate portrayal of history.
Jesus was certainly regarded as the Messiah, but that doesn’t mean he was. As the scriptures evolved and became more distant from the actual events, Jesus’ portrayal also changed. Initially seen as the anointed one, he later becomes the son of a virgin in the Gospel of Matthew. By the time of the Gospel of John, Jesus is depicted as a god himself, performing miracles such as turning water into wine, a feat initially attributed to Dionysus. I suggest reading ‘It’s Quite True!’ by Hans Christian Andersen. The story illustrates how a tale can evolve and become unrecognizable over time.

Looking forward to the messianic Kingdom.
This individual is absolutely disgusting. Should hear how he talks to females. He is a religious leader and he calls women b******. So much for living the values of Christ. I hope he shares and admits his inappropriate behavior with his TH-cam community.
Nailed it Nige... Though it is non canon, may I suggest you check out dead sea scrolls 11Q13. Its known as the Melchizedek fragment. I think you will find it fascinating. It speaks of two comings of the Mashiach, of the Mashiach as God, of the transfer to an era of grace, and of the Mashiach being cut off for the remission of sins. If you calculate from the Jubilees then you come up with the time of cutting off being in AD 32... I always found it rather odd up until now that the Essenes just seemed to have vanished from history. I now believe that they did not vanish, they were just incorporated into the Church. 11Q13 is a commentary on various Tanakh prophesies from Daniel, Isaiah, etc. Unlike the Pharisees, these fellas got it right, and I don't reckon they missed Yeshua when He came. Look forward to your next visit to Whanganui. Peter
Yes I believe the essences accepted Jesus because their understanding of scriptures lined up more with exactly who Jesus was whereas the others had so badly twisted and changed everything to laws made by men as Jesus accused them of

The descendants (seed) of the snake is of the spiritual and the descendants (seed) of the woman is of the physical. The hostility between the two seeds is a natural occurrence within the cyclical process. From a trans-personal (non masculine or feminine) perspective of a "spiritual" hierarchy, matriarchal and patriarchal dynamics (gender aside) can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God). Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth). The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle. As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8). Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the trans-personal awakening process. In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary ego death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld - her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle. Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as "head to tail" (toe) imagery as she descends and "marries" her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding (the natural descension process) of the divine cycle. (John 12, Verse 3) To carry the Ankh was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle. Ganesha (G_nosis, Genesis), the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. "El-e-Phant" - El (French pronoun Elle for "she", El (Elohim) or Al (Allah) for "God" + Phant ( Phantom for "spirit"). A whole temple was dedicated to the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. th-cam.com/video/J0m0zJSEFK0/w-d-xo.html "See all women as mothers, serve them as your mother. When you see the entire world as the mother, the ego falls away. See everything as Mother and you will know God" - Neem Karoli Baba

Jesus isn't the promised Messiah... Because God is against human sacrifice... And the prophets of the Old testament said that it is an abomination to God to have the innocent and the righteous die for the sins of the wicked
Then there would be no hope of you entering Heaven. Jesus is the only way
@@israelboakes6710 wrong bro.. guess again. I see you are very uneducated what the words of God really say,. That is pretty typical for someone who's been blinded by Christianity like you have... You guys have no idea what you are talking about just repeating a bunch of stuff you've heard pastor say bro... It doesn't mean it is right. Because the truth is God already had a salvation plan laid out for the whole world... Even for the gentiles who are not a part of his chosen people which is the Orthodox Jewish people. God gave us the seven Noahide laws to follow. . you wouldn't know nothing about this with your Christian mentality... But it's all in the book of Genesis you should really read the whole thing sometime. And stop helicoptering in on verses bro... Because that is not how you read the Bible the way that Christianity teaches you to read it. They take stuff out of contacts and change the whole meaning around... Bro listen .. you don't think God follows his own laws and his own rules? That is why he gave them to us so that we may be more like Him. So listen to this very carefully.... If God tells us to be against human sacrifices... That means that God is against that as well. And God wouldn't take an idea from the people who were against God from all the pagan religions that did this and sacrificed virgins and babies... God wouldn't take those ideas and run with it bro.. you are fooling yourself if you really think that is what happened... You need to observe the Old testament more carefully and your eyes will be opened to what the truth really is... Because Christianity is full of lies. And they have you learn these lies from a very young age so this is all you know and nothing else.

Took me months of study but was finally able to verify the Dan 9:26 prophecy. Assuming that Christ died April 25th 31AD (this took a very long time to work out, so many conflicting thoughts on Christs death, but Passover of 31AD was the only year that this worked) and working back 483 prophetic years, so 360 days x 483 years or 173,880 days lands you exactly on the 11th Nisan 446BC, which is the only year and date from Christ's death that lands in the month of Nisan as per Neh 2:1 which was the 20th year of King Artaxerxes and in the month of Nisan. And it was this year that Nehemiah received the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem as per Daniel 9:26. Fascinating study, many people have the timelines of Ezra and Nehemiah quite wrong because they have got the Persian kings all mixed up. In any case was very thrilling to work this out finally.
I love your point about 1 Corinthians being written years before Revelation. Makes perfect sense that the last trumpet of vs 52 has nothing to do with the 7th trumpet of Rev 11.
Hi Nigel, re your comment about Matt 24:36. I hear this quoted all the time as proof that we won't know the day or hour, but when I read this in context, vs 29 is talking about after the tribulation, not before and vs 29-31 describes the 2nd coming of Christ, not the rapture. vs 31 is followed by the parable of the fig and then its straight into vs 36 which says "But of that day and hour.." If you could provide some more thoughts around this it would be very helpful. Also Rev 3:3 states. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you" This infers that if you are watching then you will know the hour. I have been into this study for a while now and 2 Pet 3:8 keeps coming to mind. " That with the Lord one day is a thousand years. ". And here is a theory and just a theory, that if 1 day is 1000 years, then that would be 360,000 prophetic days, divide by 24 hours and you get 1 hour to God is like 15,000 days to us, which means 1 minute to God is 250 days to us. Perhaps we aren't meant to know the hour or day, but in line with Rev 3:3 maybe right at the end we are meant to know the "minute" or minutes. I love the way God uses numbers throughout the bible, and how 144/144,000 (12x12) keeps coming up over and over again. ie 1440 minutes in a day and 360,000/1440 = 250. It certainly makes sense that God uses time and the numbers associated with time throughout the bible. In any case would love to hear more on this Matt 24:36 verse, though I agree 100% about the Wedding feast analogy and the Father being the one to know the time he sends out the son to collect his bride.
Hi Stephen, thanks for your questions here are some responses for your consideration. Firstly, regards Matt 24:36, this opens in Greek with the phrase, "Peri dei". In the NT Paul uses this phrase to introduce a new topic, and it is often translated as “Now Concerning. This means Luke is now introducing a new topic and is not referring to the previous topic. Secondly there is a significant problem if one tries to equate the phrase “no one knows the day nor the hour” to the 2nd coming. As this is shown to by the prophet Hosea to occur in the final three days of the tribulation (Hose 5:15-6:2), which happens at the end of the 7 years of the tribulation, Daniel's 70th 7 (Dan 9:27). This period is clearly divided into two parts, with the midpoint being the event of the Abomination of Desolation. The 2nd half is variously confirmed as being 3 ½ years being described as, time times and half a time (Dan 7:25), 42 months (Rev 13:5) and 1260 days (Rev 12:6). All this means that the timing of the 2nd coming is not unknown, but known 7 years before it happens once the tribulation starts (with the signing of the covenant). Rev 3:3 is the letter to Sardis, verse one gives the context “ You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. (Rev 3:1b ESV). This church (as most do) contains both true believers who are described in verse 4, but also many "tares", that is people who are self-deceived into thinking they are saved but in fact are not (perhaps due to a false gospel Gal 1:9). Therefore, those who are dead (unsaved) need to repent and receive what they heard (the true gospel) and wake up, and come to true faith (v.3). Otherwise as unbelievers, they will be caught out by Jesus’ return for his bride (the rapture) because they will be left behind, and instead face the prospect of being on earth during the time of the wrath of the lamb in the tribulation (Rev 6:16).
Thanks Nigel, really enjoyed this, great teaching!!
Thank you. The gospel of Christ→ Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised on the third day. He appeared to the apostles. 1 Corinthians 15:1-5 Isaiah 53 Anyone is saved just by believing in the gospel. Romans 1:16 Ephesians 2:8-9
Gee thanks.
Amen, God has demonstrated His faithfulness and will continue to be faithful because of the very existence of the nation of Israel despite many attempts by other nations and leaders to wipe them out, God has preserved them and will continue to until Yeshua Messiah returns. Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yehovah!

Hello New Zealand! AT THE RAPTURE; that is the instant removal of the bride of Christ to meet our Lord above earth when we will receive an imperishable sinless body like that of Jesus Christ.1 Cor. 15:51-57. First church believers who died whose soul/spirit are waiting with the Lord (2 Cor.5:8) and then those alive following them up (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). The Lord calls us from above Earth. I believe the Holy Spirit in us HEARS and actually removes us to Christ's side! Our sin nature, Romans 3:23, is supernaturally removed and our sanctification (being holy) is completed as is our salvation so we can go to Heaven. Philippians 1:6 " Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" WHEN? We are NOT appointed to God's wrath! 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9; Romans 5:8-9. The bride of Christ will not go through "Tribulation" when God judges the lost world left behind. No longer will evil be restrained as one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit. The bride is complete & home. That opens the door for the appearance of anti-Christ; Satan in human form! TIMING OF RAPTURE? See John 14:3; Titus chapter 2:verses 11-14; Revelation 3:10 It is "IMMINENT"! "Maranatha" ("He comes") was the greeting to one another in the just formed church. They looked for Jesus to come in their time! WE TOO! Only God knows the time the last Christian is saved! Romans 11:25. This channel is a blessing known to God before the world was made. Ephesians 1:1-14. Oh Lord bless this channel. I will pray for you and those gathered here. There is a Crown in Heaven awaiting all who faithfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a soul is saved. ( "JESUS SAVES" below) 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; Philippians 4:1. " For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy." The Apostle Paul further testified; Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek". 2 Samuel chapter 22:verse 50 "Therefore I will praise you, O Lord, out of the countries, and I will praise your name." JESUS SAVES Mark 16: verse 15: "And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." How can anyone hear the "good" news? Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God." The Birth Of Jesus Christ Isaiah 7:14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal, the body was mutilated, the blood was poured out, but the bones were not broken, buried in a Tomb and risen on the 3rd day. Isaiah 53: "5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Blood coming from all over his body and NAKED hanging on that cross like torture weapon! What a Lord and God and Savior! He had to do it. HE is God the Son and only His body and blood could pay the sins price of ALL ever! 1 John 2:1-2. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 "I am the way, the truth and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me." John 14.6 1 Corinthians 15: "1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;." Ephesians 1:7 “For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5: 21. Ephesians 2:8 " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting in His death and in the shedding of His blood as payment for our sins, as well as in His burial and resurrection from the dead the third day, and we will be saved! John 20:24-31; See 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. Romans 10: "9 If you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes in righteousness; And a confession by mouth is given to salvation. 13 For the one who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Salvation and forgiveness of sins is a blessing of all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject salvation, "perish"(John 3:16) which means their sins are judged and suffer separation from God forever called the second death. Rev.21:8
