    If it's worth it to you, Magic Poser does all of this much better for a monthly subscription (about $15). The models are easier to control, there's different body types and a large range of preset poses. It's a free app but the subscription allows you to export .obj files.

    How does your clay look so real?

    • @Original-Werks
      @Original-Werks หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this video I was using a matcap (material capture). It is great for displaying detail, but the color is lost switching back to a lit pbr (Physically Based Rendering) where you can use different paint and light colors. I will use this for the topic of my next video, this is a perfect subject for it. To get similar results as this you can use paint for the same effect. Go to the paintbrush icon and experiment with paint color, roughness, and a small amount of metalness. Tap the material ball and pick a dull plastic sphere, tap again until it says clone, scroll down you will see a cloned copy with a folder icon and plastic/ beside it. Pick that sphere (it will be there to use whenever you want a real clay/wax sphere color to use) and adjust the following. For more exact color type in #c82f19, Roughness 0.3966, Metalness 0.1196, this will get you in the neighborhood, adjust for your taste. I also went to the shading tab (sun icon) and over exposed about to 3.0 in the Venetian crossroads environment. This was a really long answer to your question, I hope it was not too confusing. Be on the lookout for my next video, I will have a few more tips as well!

    Based on your review, I've purchased the Thermal VATBAND. I was getting ready to set everything up when I realized that the resit vat is made out of plastic and it's hollow. I'm seriously tempted to open it up and see if there is room on the inside to apply the heater. Was your vat also hollow?

      @iHenry2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Original-Werks Mine is an alloy and hollow. I was thinking about filling the void, but the VATBAND worked great. I had it on level 3 and it kept the resin around 82. An unexpected benefit was easier cleanup. The warm resin just dips away.

    For some reason I can't see the individually selected facegroups when in masking. Its like clicking it automatically should mask it, but its not working. Is there a way to set it so that it automasks whatever I click ??

    • @Original-Werks
      @Original-Werks 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you are in masking, at the top you should have a new bar that has a face groups tab. Click on it and your face groups should appear for you. Also make sure that you have updated to 1.85 (I am sure you have if face groups is there for you). Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

    • @backhandsmack1358
      @backhandsmack1358 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Original-Werks Yeah, when you click a face-group in mask mode (with the facegroup button selected in the bar) it should instantly mask whatever facegroup you click. You did it at 0:57. For me it doesn't mask anything and I have to manually draw the mask onto the face group. It looks like you have a one-tap mask mechanism or something. I can't seem to get that to work.

    This was terrific. I don't have a printer (yet) but I've also been hesitant to get anything printed because I just wasn't sure if I wasn't at too large a resolution, and when I'd decimate things down I was totally taking them too far out of fear of messing something up and then not liking the lower resolved models. I don't work as detailed (I'm much more cartoony) and most of my models are well within the tolerances you have laid out. Thanks very much!!

    Do I have to be worried about this when pouring resin out of the vat? I have a phrozen mighty 8k, and when I pour out of the vat it just goes straight down the corner I'm pouring out of. If I pour any faster it will overflow the funnel, so I'm stuck doing it like that. Will getting resin on this break it?

    • @Original-Werks
      @Original-Werks 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have had no issues with it. The protective tape that comes with the kit keeps the band protected. My vat does the same thing, it gets on the band a little when I pour it back through my funnel as well. I really do recommend this if you need to warm up your resin. Good luck and have fun printing!

      A new feature has been added to the smooth brush that helps with this as well. With smooth brush selected, top bar menus, stroke menu (paint brush) , drop down menu select the filter option, half way down in drop down you can adjust how much smoothing happens on an edge while keeping edges sharp. Try a stroke and adjust as needed. I will use that in combination with the crease brush inverted (side bar) to tidy up edges. Give this a try for more options!

    What is the highest possible temperature with a Thermal Vat Band?

    • @Original-Werks
      @Original-Werks 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      70 to 90 degrees fahrenheit or 21 to 32 degrees celsius (according to their website). I have found that once the printing process starts, that you will normally want to reduce the temperature of the vat band. The printing process using the uv light and the reaction of the resin heats everything up nice after a few minutes.

      Yes, there are so many ways to do the same actions in Nomad. It just comes down to what you prefer best sometimes.

      So, many things may have happened here. One thing to note first, is that this video is several versions back, with many new features being released. First off, the grid is now in the background, instead of being below a sphere. So look for the lines in the background for reference instead. If you are having trouble with the grid, make sure that you have not turned it off with the shortcuts selection bar. (your setup may be different than mine.) Click on the gear icon at the top of your menu bar, in display settings, grid should be highlighted if it is enabled. If you want to add our delete shortcuts, go to the next icon by the gear that looks like three slider bars, you can add delete shortcuts to help out with your layout. Hope this helps you out, if you are still having issues, let me know!

    I've ordered a brew belt, same principle without exposed wires. I've also considered a 3 or 4 divided heat mat for plants, and fasten them to the inside of my grow tent.
