Bass Fishing Pre Spawn Cranking | Claytor Lake Virginia
Hey y'all today we are headed out on Claytor Lake for some early Spring BASS. The water temp is around 50 degrees which means it's time to throw a crank bait! The water is a bit murky which is a great thing for this technique. I hope y'all enjoy the video.

2 Proven Winter Bass Fishing Lures that CATCH FISH | Smith Mountain Lake
มุมมอง 4.4Kปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys in todays video we are headed to Smith Mountain Lake to do some Bass fishing. I only brought a couple different lures that are proven time and time again to catch fish in the coldest months of the year. My go to is the Jerk Bait its a proven fish catcher all year long but tends to really shine in the colder months. Second is the Alabama rig it seems to get fewer bites but can produce s...
Winter Survival Shelter : Staying Overnight, Duck Roast on Camp Fire
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
Hey y'all in todays video we will be putting our shelter to the test. I will be staying over night with some questionable conditions. I was also fortunate enough to bag a Wood Duck the day before which will be cooked over the camp fire with some veggies. #outdoors #nature #bushcraft #ducks #primitive
My YAMAHA 4 stroke won't stay Running! How I fixed it
มุมมอง 25Kปีที่แล้ว
Hey y'all I was going to go into much more detail in this video, but unfortunately I had my head mount to high up. My 2020 8 HP Yamaha 4 stroke would start with the choke all the way out and then as soon as I would push the choke in it would cut off. after some research I figured it was the carburetor. I have never done this before nor do I have any experience with Yamaha outboards.

มุมมอง 477ปีที่แล้ว
Hey y'all in this video we are headed back to the trout stream in the pursuit of providing some fresh fish for some people that are in need. This was a full blown adventure from the time I got to the stream to the time I was toting freshly caught trout into some of the roughest parts of the city. #fishing #nature #trout #outdoors

Building a Fish Smoker BUSHCRAFT
มุมมอง 512ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone in this video I will be attempting to build a Fish smoker out of the bare minimum materials. I am by no means a professional when it comes to Bushcraft or building out of only what nature provides. This is going to be a two part video this is simply the build of the smoker, the next video will be the catching and the cooking/smoking of the trout. #diy #outdoors #nature #fishing #ba...

Thanks Bro
I have the same engine. It had a flywheel, so I bought a starter, contactor and buttons for the motorcycle on Ali (about $100 all). The buttons are on the tiller. You also need a battery for this, but a small one, 40ah, is enough. Super cool
Somebody got some poon tang
Thanks ,get rid of gray fuel line. The gray gas line will deteriorate clogging carb.. True story.
Is that near Hot Springs?
I really liked your video. I have the exact same problem with my 9.9 Yamaha 4-stroke and I know nothing about engines. However, I had this problem before and they rebuilt the carburetor and cleaned it. I'm thinking I don't need it rebuilt just cleaned. I wish you would have shown exactly how you cleaned it with that spray.
Bruce wants to fish toooo !!!😊
mine has same issue, I clean it, works great, if I don't run it for 6months guess what same issue, gotta be a better way
I ended up buying an Amazon carb, works like a champ, gonna clean the oem one and keep it so if it happens again in 6mnths, quick swap out.
Bruce wants to fish too!! Awesome video.
My generator was doing the same thing and stalling. I went on TH-cam, and found a video to change the carburetor. Fixed my problem and gave me that seems sense of satisfaction that you have from what you did. Nice job.
What ramp did you put in at?
Oh Man! I have a similar John boat and a 4 hp Yamaha. I’ve had to learn through trials and tribulations.. i’m about to do the exact same thing you did.. however, I wanted to watch some TH-cam videos first. Thanks for the inspiration I’m gonna give it a go.!! 🤞
I appreciate you watching! Good luck
Thanks for the video bro! Have you tried any other primitive style smokers?
I appreciate it! I haven’t tried anything else yet
My Uncle Brian and Me are thinking about doing this same thing this spring catching fish then my Uncle will smoke them and then bring them to the homeless people in your town thanks for sharing Noah
My 9.9 Mercury would stop running after 10 mins .. found a small gas leak and changed plugs worked Keep sharing
take the gas out after every use or make the same video next week
yes i ripped up my finger pulling this joker too How about a better cord too its junk
Hi Mate. I give you kudos not so much for cleaning the carb, but for doing what most people would not do. Ex. risking the engine going down the lake. lol
North face is hippy shit
Bro is not playing with bruce
Another good way to make sure ALL the jets are clear and clean as they can be is to use a welding tip cleaner and compressed air. Good video, keep em coming.
Thanks man that’s a good tip!
I'm so happy for you. I've got the 9.9 and will be cleaning the carb later today.
I appreciate it!
@@TheFishJockey i took the carb apart, cleaned out the jets, put it all together in about 20 minutes. Started on the third pull and will now idle at what I'm guessing is under 300 rpm. Sweet!
welcome to the bigs
Great job my friend. I also do the same as you. I may watch a video on the problem/ repair but it definitely makes me wonder if I'm doing it right. It's very expensive to have a mechanic do it so that's why I do it plus if something happens out on water I maybe able to fix it good enough to get back to dock then tear into it when I get home. Don't stop what you're doing cause it's great to learn. Take care, Steve
DIY FTW ! Now make a nice video of it running out on the water
I also freek out trying to mount this on my dingy in choppy seas. Thought I was getting old and weak lol. Best wishes.
Dude thank you so much for this info. Been having exact same issues. Same 8hp Yamaha motor you have. Thanks again. Captain Dj Pope / Sailing Muse
No problem man thanks for watching!
My wife booked a vrbo here without discussing it and I was nervous as hell but this video makes me feel alot better. And does your bow graph fold down??
great effort
Well done, you fix things as i would? 👍 just one thing, if there was a chance its going for a swim, tie a rope to the front grab handle for quick recovery?
Nice hog! Congrats! New subscriber.
G clamps and c clamps are good for many things like holding a bracket up for a bit
reason they dont run properly is because yamaha under 20hp are still using carbs, whereas suzuki are EFI down to 9.9b, and also lighter, you should get suzuki instead mate, also make sure you wear the kill cord when you are driving :)
Hey thats my pier! Put my fish back
Claytor has big ole smallies, trust me! Dad caught an 8lb smallie last year!
You are A stout young man I’m glad you got it fixed congratulations
Nice fish, is that the covert spinnerbait
It’s not it’s a santone spinnerbait
Very nice! Are you in SD? Looks like the prairie. 😊
Beast! Congratulations. I’ll subscribe. My fishing channel is in Ohio 😊🎣
Thanks man I’ll have to check your channel out!
@@TheFishJockey Much appreciated!
Nice one bro
Thank you!
Bruce get in the back, looks like it might have been a good trip, not enough catches.
I ran out of gas lol!
Nice videos appreciate you making them good luck on your journey also enjoy Bruce . Could you recommend a good weight and where I could get some hair jigs ? Thanks
Thank you so much for watching. SPRO makes a really good hair jig I use the 1/4 oz by SPRO
I'm not totally anti-tournaments but I do wish they would limit them during the spawn. We've seen a drastic improvement at Claytor (imo) because tournaments were shut down 3 years ago for the initial stage of the pandemic ... time will tell if that theory is correct but it seems so as of now....
I couldn’t agree with you more. Tournaments during the spawn mess everything up.
maybe Claytor isn't as bad of a fisherie as you said...lol
Dad gum it man
Place is amazing!
Raghad Meziane, my brother, happy blessed Ramadan 👍👍👍🇲🇦🇺🇲🇨🇷
Best o the best 💯
Hello, my dear
I seen you using the Spro what was the other lure thanks
The other lure was the Rapala DT 6 in the Demon color.
Claytor has been improving the past few years
It shows out from time to time I wish they would let the grass come back!
Awesome catches! You just said it wasn’t the best fishery and what you caught says different. Great video !
I appreciate it I just wasn’t expecting to catch much and clearly I was wrong. And that’s what keeps us going back! Thanks for watching!
Claytor is a great fishery depending on the time of year and if you’re at the right location for that time it’s always changing. But the crank bait all year will catch em!
