    Why don’t you take the course, keep your promise to your instructor, and live a good life without spreading misinformation. What you are saying right now is very misleading. You are putting people in the wrong trajectory. You are not ready to give anybody advice on transcendental meditation until you become a teacher. This is very important neurological technology that should be done correctly. If you really need the money to take the course, I will sponsor you. Don’t hurt others by putting them in the wrong trajectory. There is another way to help others that isn’t misleading them into something that is ineffective and harmful.

    I have been practicing TM since 2018. I paid full price for the course and had the greatest experience with it. It saved my relationship with my family, friends, girlfriend, and myself. When I meditate the obvious truths come out. I am so much happier meditating through TM. When I first started, I wanted everybody to experience what I was feeling. I was so pushy because I cared for them.

    • @bertg5929
      @bertg5929 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When thoughts come in that give you feelings just return to you mantre. if you focus on that unstead of the thought the feeling will eventually pass. I know at first it seems like things arent working but the more you do it the less you will feel anxiety from your thougths or you will be able to just let it pass easier. I had this problem when I first started. thoughts would come in while I was repeating my mantra.. Thats when I would stop and slow my mantra down a but so that IU can focus on it fully. I hoped this helped.

    I did this as a child when my dad taught me and yes I am from India. Nothing fancy or secret. Just say AUM in your mind without saying or with and you can also concentrate on a dot in a wall that works the same too. That helped me a lot to concentrate and keep chaos out of it. Do not complicate it. That's it , do it for next 3 month for 30 minute a day or even 10 minutes. That’s all.

    I was intrigued by all the chat about paying for mantras....... to reach enlightenment or transcend the human form. Interesting and obviously a hang up from the capitalist world. I joined a meditation/psychic dev circle for 8 years. We had to pay as well. 50 new pence each. that paid for the incence, tea bags and a pack of biccies after we had finished to help ground us all back into this reality. Still capitalist but made for a safer drive home afterwards. As far as the meds went, we just sat quietly for 20 mins, sometimes with music, and just allowed spirit to move thru us as we moved thru them. “The total number of minds in the universe is one, but the cat exists twice till you really look' Erwin Schrodinger, and me :P

    For some it worked, for others it didn't, but you're addicted to meditating afterwards. You can no longer stop calling the Hindu goddess internally with the mantra (that's what you're actually doing unconsciously) It's transcendent intoxication!!! The same as drug use!!! I had friends in TM and former drug users. = Same mind-expanding lure theory and same mental experiences. All of them are damaged for life - some in conscience due to addiction to spirits, others due to liver and digestive damage with early death. The conversion from the Christ faith to the Hindu faith through recurring sacrificial ceremonies has become commonplace. You will be transformed into a Hindu. But it is said that this is not a religion. Worst presumptuous lying mentality!!!

    Wow just did my first try in my room this morning with just a fan on for noise. I tried sha la ohm. It was quite difficult I’ll be honest! My mind definitely tries to go off in different thought directions and I was constantly having to redirect focus back to sha la ohm. Not sure if that is doing it wrong? Eventually my thoughts started taking over no matter how fast or slow I repeated the mantra. It was almost straining to get to the 10 mins and my brain was ready for it to be done, but at the same time I about fell asleep. Maybe next time I’ll try 5 mins and work my way up. It is interesting how challenging that was

The more you practice the less your thoughts will interrupt. your brain is like a muscle, every time you bring your awareness back to mantre your practice grows stronger. keep at it, twice a day. Once in the morning and at night. also trying changing your mantra is after a week or so that one doesn't resonate with you. I hope this help.

    As a meditation teacher and practitioner for the past 45 years, and having learned a number of techniques, I do feel that mantra meditation is the best way to practice meditation at this time. I paid $500 for the TM Training (absolutely no regrets), and I teach a 'generic' version in my own classes, using the mantra Ah Hum (this is a mantra that Deepak Choprah also uses). He used to be heavily involved with the TM Organization till he had a falling out with Maharishi, but that's another story. My simple advice to my own students is this: if you are tired of suffering, then make a commitment to sit still and practice at least 20 minutes a day, no matter what. I studied TM in 1970 from my martial arts sensei (ex SF Army combat instructor in both Korea and Vietnam) who studied with Mahesh Yogi personally. You are kind of guessing here, but you are not far off from the topical things you learn in a 4 day course. There is a lot more to TM, but over the years, I explored many other types of meditation (Pranayana, Kundalini, Zen, etc.) and even sat for weekends with monks at Zen temples in Japan. The main benefit of TM is that it is simple, can be learned relatively quickly, and only needs to be done twice a day for 20 minutes. The mantra is not the main thing, as it is just a point of focus in order to "transcend." Too much is made of the mantra, and yes, anyone can invent their own, but my sensei picked one for me because of the sound, and because the syllables helped to creates a certain rhythm that he felt fit me (he said Yogi taught him that.) I still use it to this day, but there are many other forms of meditation out there people can learn for free or for a low cost. I feel that $200-$300 USD is about what a course is worth, and if you want to buy into a lifetime membership, another $200 would be about right. I would not pay $1,000+ for a TM course and would just take some mindfulness classes - and there are plenty on YT for free.

    At 4:14, "While yoire repeating your mantra." There isn't any secret, it's a course guided by a teacher. Also, you said you transcended, but, if you haven't taken the course, how would you know? Your description of transcending is completely off, as is your description of how to get there. Lastly, it isn't $2,000 - it's income based, and there are grants available. There isn't much in this video that's accurate. Anyone looking into TM shouldn't take this as any sort of truth to the practice. Anybody can put a scuba tank on their back and go underwater, but you're better served to learn how to scuba dive. TM isn't any different.

      Thank you for your comment firstly! Second, if you take the time to read through my comments you will see that a lot of TM practitioner who have paid for the course have basically said that the info isn’t far off. I never say this is the correct way but that I think it is. My land lord has taken the course and said I’m pretty spot on. Lastly one of the first things I say is that if you can afford it or want to then you should do it. 😊

      It is most certainly not income based. My local tm center refused to give me a discount based on my current financial hardship.

      @@bertg5929 based on most of the stories I've heard, I'm really disappointed. I am physically incapable of working and I'm on gov't assistance but my local center said they had no grants or scholarships "at this time." I was told that I could only receive a student rate. I still can't afford that. I'm looking to start the NSR based on some comments here in this thread. I've done a lot research based on your video, thank you for that.

    Dope! have “poetic tragedy”, the “U” symbol and “white it out like glittering wax butterflies” tattooed on me 🙌🏼. I found your channel looking into transcendental meditation and saw your thumbnail of Bert’s scribble guy and got excited. I was super close to getting the same one. I doesn’t get much better than the first 2 used albums in my opinion. I still listen to them all the time. I’m glad to hear that tattoo is not one of your regretful ones!

    I’m just so confused as to why someone has to give you your mantra. It seems like it’s just a money maker (and I meditate daily) and low income ppl have the highest stress and could benefit the most. Thanks for explaining it without charging money!!

    • @bertg5929
      @bertg5929 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. It totally is a cash grab. You can figure out how they get the mantra. It’s just the time and place you were born and longitude and latitude. And dob I think.
