Omg. Suggest a diverter to the client
I have an issue with a remodel of a very old house. I have a 3in vent stack and the toilet is connected to it and I've got an Vanity sink and a shower basin that the DWV is 1.5 inch...I don't have any other vents in this bathroom. Do I use an AAV for each fixture?
What a loser vent.
That plumbing you have there is illegal where I live.
What is that? IPC code?
So you just have a opening at the top and the dirty toilet water doesnt splash out when falling down that pipe?
i guess the next step is to find where these air pipes are located in or out the house? see if it's clogged by something?
ipc not upc right?
I do so much non code winging it so it's nice to see the correct way.
Fantastic video and layout. This makes a lot of sense with the hot water return loop back to the intake with the check valves. I was researching this to fix and replace old waterlines to my tankless water heater and stumbled upon your video. Did you have to use a recirculation pump? I am hoping to do the same without a recirculation pump.
Looks DIY
I need suggestions about plumbing my tiny house plz let me know thank u
I was just looking at this code for my own house project and trying to figure out why and what it means. Thank you.
where is the vent pipe for the toilet, missing in action. fail
Great video 👍
Wrong
Hammer arresters and a tee not a wye
Can I take it at a 90 degree elbow and then put it through the wall and theb another 90 to bring it back straight up?
Great video, thanks!
I am about to DIY my mom's house's plumbing, given that we have more time than money and this was a great explanation. I will still check on the city's codes but it gives information on what to look for.
I learned more in 4 minutes than I thought was possible and I wish you hadn't stopped. The way you explain things makes it easy to understand and intensely interesting,. The only problem is that the video was too short. I know just enough now to get myself in trouble. You started to explain how to count the turns and just left me hanging. After a maximum of 4 horizontal turns then what???
nice setup, I'm gonna clone your setup when I got my softener. I will have to drill a whole in my wall (garage exterior) in order to get a drain installed, any tips on that please?
No we cannot ever do that
Good stuff
Why not stack 2 Santees right above your 45 offset. You’re putting 2 ptraps on one line? Or are you gonna tie the sink in with a 90 lol
Going from 2” to 3” the way you did is incorrect. No proper way to cleanout 3”. Should have just stayed 2” all the way.
Have they never heard of thermostatic control valves? It’s luxury plumbing 101, not even on some scum bag shit if someone wants a brand new state of the art shower/bath they’re paying for it, thermostatic valves are way cheaper to maintain, easier to get parts for, warranty, install during new construction by contractors that barely understand prints and most time the product works exactly how they’re built to and if they don’t that’s what warranties are for. I don’t grasp how others don’t understand that if a client wants what they want, you better give it to them or endure the endless possibilities of bullshit with the possibility of never getting paid. At the end of it I don’t care how it works, if it works for the business/home owner paying for it and it helps not take away from their family or growth I support it. My work, my innovation, my business experience, not only my investment in myself but other’s investment in me should be a clear representation of what am and can create. However criticism only hurts the narcissist and the feeble of thought, see what you hear, look at it with complete doubt until you fear the commonality of outcome and expectation.
Love it. Did the same thing at my house. Nice to have seperate controls. I like using the hand shower and the wall shower at the same time. Nice work. Mine is copper though.
PEX = Garbage
Why plastic plumbing
Because it's the cheapest the longest lasting option for people who aren't idiots that drink from their shower head.
@@YUMP_912it is NOT longer lasting
@@Gfysimpletonsyes it is grandpa
@@IRoYaILTY grow up punk.
@@Gfysimpletonsexpansion pex A lasts a very long time
Your Ys should have been rolled up...
You don't like diverters?
I need a plan the plumbing circuit for a small unit, can anyone help pls? I will pay for the services. Many thanks in advance
Oh no, you are fired right away!
These are the standard in Europe. You cant find an apartment without them. So, any idiot that acts like these arent any good probably just needs to STFU.
soooo then...my simple non plumber mind thinks......toilet is well vented due to the air plus water flow provided by sink drainage ?? in stead of a separated dedicated external roof vent ??
In St. Louis you can. Great for utility sinks with out having to run another vent
Yes, St. Louis has an amendment to the UPC to allow this
That shower pan passed inspection? Every time I see PEX I cringe, except radiant floor heat.
Scam! In 4 min AND 20 SEC!
Will an AAV still function properly inside an air sealed home? Basically if there’s negative pressure on the wrong side of the vent?
Since aav work based on pressure, will they still function inside an air sealed home? The A/C and extractor fans can create negative pressure in the home as well?
Plumbing as with all building codes are regional. I need to be within 6 feet of a vent for a 3" drain for toilet or 10' if using 4". However, there are places that allow 12' distance from vent when using 3". And the truth is if the vent is 20 feet away, it'll work just fine, even a wet vent.
No, each fixture requires its own trap
How many items can you vent on one 3 inch stack ?I have a farm house remodel I’m about to plumb on septic system it has 2.5 bath kitchen and laundry that’s connected to one of the 2 baths(same room) I’ve watch most of your videos and I’m more informed on the venting. also is there a max fall for horizontal runs?

Sink and laundry basically right on top of each other. Even if I could do this… why? And none of your pipes are strapped and supported
