This was up there with some of the hardest achievements in Arkham City. So frustrating and I nearly gave up on my play-through to unlock all the achievements for Knight. Fortunately I stuck with and eventually got it along with The Curtain Falls in one night.

I'm late to the party. I'm playing Arkham Asylum now. 4 hours in. I remember playing City on PS3 and i sucked at combat. Playing city and asylum simultaneously and i already took down freeze in city, and the first boss i forgot the name to in asylum.

i have heard people insult the combat in these games by saying that it's just mashing counter and i think they just have not played them at all bc there's so much more to it with all the different combos and gadgets

The brutes with hammers or hooks/anchors and a titan monster in Arkham City is not a good pairing. They both attack very fast and easily.

I played all games not knowing about special combo takedowns even though it pops up constantly i did the prof pyg fight with only ground takedowns

how TF do you play as joker on challenge maps, like you had im shown with the others around 46 seconds. Arkham asylum is the only one I haven't played over the years, I'm assuming he's naturally playable??

Thank you for mentioning the importance of the evade move- Vaulting over and away from enemies is quite possibly the single most important thing to do in combat, specifically if you wanna do challenges that require long combo chains or fights without getting hit. A note for Red Hood which I've seen is that he seems to get immunity frames (or maybe just more shield enemies in general) during his aerial assault (B -> A+A+Left Stick Towards enemy, the move that's meant to counter shields) that NO other character seems to have to my memory, I don't know why exactly this works, maybe it's just a quirk to the enemy pool he's allowed to fight as well, since he seems to only get the invulnerability for a few seconds when doing the move on shield enemies, and I'm pretty sure brutes might've been replaced by shield guys in his combat scenario? Either way, that move specifically seems to stand out for him in fights, and you can quite possibly clear entire combat trials with ONLY that move on Red Hood. But yeah, evasions and vaults are broken, since they temporarily seem to break aggro, can make enemies hurt each other instead, extend the amount of time you have before your combo resets, and give you a brief window where you can take almost any action without the risk of getting hit, just to vault/evade again- Counters ARE more rewarding, but they're also riskier, so since learning this forbidden knowledge I typically only counter at the start or end of a fight- There's also the issue that using a counter and mistiming it, even if you don't get hit, will instantly break your combo and stop all your momentum, which is simply an issue you don't have to worry about if you focus on avoiding or canceling attacks altogether. Only enemies that don't seem fool-proof to these strategies would be some bosses, the hammer and sickle twins in City, and fights with multiple Titans in Asylum- Although I'm not sure if this is a strat that works for Asylum and Origins as I don't remember testing them, but for Knight and City, I'm pretty sure this works around 90% of the time. Evades are like Counter's older, less popular brother who is actually a lot more chill and easier to approach.

To be even more lazy I use my old arcade stick with turbo function. Just set turbo on button 3 (X for ps) and leave controller or something on top of the button to keep it pressed down. That way I can do anything else and the leveling of a character is fully automated

I have been playing robin since the game came out, played over 400 matches, grinded multiverse until I thought my controller was going to melt, and hoarded mother boxes for two months straight. And i still don't have the dick stick. I'm not mad, i just feel like removing an infants lungs.

3:00 For some BS reason, no matter what I do or how hard I try, I can't get perfect freeflow with Batman or Nightwing on round 3. Even if I don't get hit, AND all my attacks land! WTH?!

There seriously needs to be some kind of exploit with these trophies. Eternal is a perfect example, since I found a glitch where all you have to do is do the Endless Night AR Challenge, KO 2 or more enemies, let yourself get killed, then go to the main game and beat up random street thugs, and the trophy will eventually pop. Nothing like that with a Chill in the Air or the Curtain Falls.

This challenge is what made me decent at the game😅 Before attempting this i was so bad
