I had a similar reaction to conscious sedation meds. Mine never kicked in, they gave me more hoping that would do something, did nothing. I guess the adrenaline in my body fought it off and the meds couldn’t do their job. After procedure was done and I had time to decompress and relax the meds started kicking in and I started getting sleepy.

They gave you a drug called versaid! Your awake, you can feel pain but you forget. You may have flashbacks but you'll remember not caring. It's also known as the date rape drug slipped into a drink on the streets, because you won't fight back no matter what the rapist does!

That "belly-button" thing - for me too I only worried about losing that, not about the 30cm scar that traversed my abdomen - and the fact of being naked under that surgery gown...

did you ever get tested for MALS bc your situation sounds a lot like it and you wont usually get checked for it unless you ask. it may at least be worth doing some research

I always ask myself what kind of meds you get in the US because often I see vids after surgery OR dentist and people are sooooo far away, drowsy, drugged etc. And talk weird. I have had Many surgeries and procedures but never was in hallucination state or anything.

Since you cant eat shouldn't you be on iv? Seems like docs are messing up

I just cant stand it when they refer you to psych cause they dont know what they are doing. Then they call it conversion disorder instead of finding out what's really wrong.
