As an owner of an Austin 7 Special this car actually frightens me and makes my 7 look advanced. Wire and Bobbin steering looks scary, I bet it’s great fun.

Totally enjoyed the video from start to finish the idiot that had the support vehicle following should be told off! But great 2nd overtaking manoeuvre (you really need a better camera)

Very many thanks for this. I think that I'm right in saying that the gears are a quadrant change and as the car is a Darracq, the gear lever is on a column as opposed to one at the side of the car. Does that make a change of gear that bit more difficult? Also, was that a few misfires fairly early on and if so, what was the cause? So pleased to know that you made it to Brighton.

That is the most "car" looking cycle car I have seen...It looks like it probably has a decent amount of power as well.

Drive it like you stole it! I love it I was impressed with the synchromesh gear box but you might want to get it remapped tick overs a bit lumpy but seriously great effort ruined by the new tech stop start on the video.

We need events like this here in the states!! ..I am definitely going to use this year as the one to bring our pre-war era cars together and do some runs...I tried to do this a couple years ago but I ended up getting hit by someone in an F350 on my 1957 Panhead and it has taken me three years to get back on my feet...Thank you for sharing this awesome video with us...

What car is this? Really great video and it sounds like a petrol engine but it might be steam...I am building an upgraded version of the Morgan/GN Rip Killer 3 wheeler with 4 wheels...They essentially built the cars like airplanes without a prop or wings...I am using a BMW opposed twin as the power plant connected through a hand cast aluminum adapter to an MG 4 speed manual transmission and on to an MG differential.. I built a version of this as an 11 year old (with my tool and diemaker fathers help) Mine was a 1980s version, although the engine/clutch was from a 1973 Polaris Colt 175cc snowmobile mated to a 3 speed with reverse transmission from a 1970s riding lawnmower.

So cool.

i have the Pontlarge book and apiece of ash to make chasis the springs i think you can get from Jones of Wolverhampton the rest is matieral you can pick up eneywhere ihave a 1926 ohc 350 Velocette engine which might go in quite nicely..Inspirational car and vidio .ttfn&ty
