Solaris (2002) - We don't have to think like that anymore (Final Scene)
I would classify *Solaris* as one of the movies that can be seen over and over again and take on deeper and deeper meanings each time. The theme of "what it means to be human" is ubiquitous and studied to the smallest detail, and in my opinion Cameron and Soderbergh have succeeded in crafting a modern adaptation of Stanislaw Lem's novel that is nothing short of perfect, rich in meaning, with brilliant soundtracks and a realization that makes it easy to say that it is one of the most ambitious and best conceived sci-fi films of recent decades.
And stop making comparisons with Tarkóvsky's version, they are two completely different interpretations, using the word "remake" here makes absolutely no sense, and my blood boils when I see some apparent cinephile using this trite criticism. Just enjoy the movie.

Effort over talent. This is the message of Gattaca. Some people are born with gifts and talents that they themselves did not earn and whereas some capitalize on them and achieve greatness, we recognize that like a gift that was merely given and not earned , a gift by itself is not equal to greatness, only the potential of greatness. Effort on the other hand has intrinsic merit. Sure, we celebrate people’s achievements as a whole and not in part. We don’t say “wow, that is a beautiful half-built skyscrapper”. We judge it as one piece. But in the case of people, we are impacted not just by the achievement itself when evaluating its worth but the manner in which that achievement was realized. Lance Armstrong is a perfect example of both; he overcame what appeared to be certain death and came back to win seven Tour de Frances in a row. Winning seven tours is an achievement so monumental that it defies belief. When you add the fact that he had to overcome terminal cancer to even have the chance to win any of them is the stuff of Greek myth. As much as his Tour de France wins, it was the fact that he overcame cancer to even race that moves us. It is his extraordinary effort that inspires people as much as his victories. Sadly, when we learned that Lance Armstrong took performance enhancing drugs, he was stripped of all of his medals and accolades because even though he technically won those races, he did it with the help of substances that complimented his effort just enough to edge out those who depended on their effort alone. This is why we rightly condemn him.

What if Metaman went to the island where he fought the Omnidroid v.x7 and when he went back to fight v.x8, he barely managed to get away and then died from the suit malfunction.
