It's good fun! only problem it gave me a motorcycle bug and now I ride!

Nope, just the muffler, I didn't want to start pulling exhaust parts until after they release a turbo kit.

It has advantages and disadvantages, but I liked them so much I designed a frame and now currently working on V4, which I may sell to the public. What you see here is V1 which was a 2 piece design, the new design V2 is mono-frame, and V3 takes this design further and makes it lighter and more durable. The advantages are- improved pitch and yaw precision, especially for the stretched Plus. Front and back props spin one way, the left and right turn the other, so it makes it slightly easier for the FC to calculate inputs. All props get clean air. Slightly higher battery efficiency Camera protection. Narrower profile for tighter gaps/gates. I can't state it as a fact, but they seem unparalleled for max forward speed. Disadvantages. Front prop will always be visible. More complicated to wire up due to ESC's being side to side or front to back, not in +. Takes more roll to turn, which takes time to become accustomed to. Top-mounting battery is impractical for 5" quads. And the big one, if you race competitively and require a launch box, it requires you to improvise, I designed a piece I call " Race Whiskers" so one could launch from a box- but I have yet to test it in the field. I may start recording new footage of the V3 frame, I just got back to flying after a 2 year break, so I have to practice (and crash) a bit first.

@@wyvern4588 i just got a Diatone GT-m200 np frame kit. Didn't come with any docs. I'll figure out how it goes together. Should be fun.

@@wylderyounghillbilly I had that frame, neat little quad, it will be a bit tight to build in, and when you wire up the motors, make sure you look at a betaflight chart. South motor -1 East motor- 2 North motor -4 West motor- 3 The bottom plate and antenna mount are the weak-links and why I ended up designing my own. I run the VTX antenna under the rear arm straight out past the motor- good reception and no chance of breaking that antenna mount- Lollipops and Rush antennas work great for that. Brain FPV used to make the go-pro pod.

Install took less than 15 minutes on the ground. Very slight drone during deceleration at low speed with the windows/top open- when the top is up/windows closed, you can hear the exhaust but it's mellow with no drone. Top down you can hear the exhaust clearly, but it never is so loud it's intrusive.

Haha! thanks, this was OLD tech and I was new to FPV, I still have this frame sitting around. I will be posting a more recent flight soon, I'ts amazing what a little practice and new hardware can do!

It's on rcgroups under m250 c30. My screen name is Bowser90 there. I found that regular 6X4 blades work the best, any more pitch or BN blades overwork the FC, there aren't enough Rpms to keep it stable. I have since moved from this frame since it's durability doesn't match my usual flying style and it loosens as it wears.

+Carl Bradley - Awesome, it makes the rig change direction so much faster than normal- imagine a drift car vs. a car with sticky slicks- this is the grippy car, you change roll and pitch and it goes, other frames sort of drift out before taking a new path. I now have both motors forward and it is stupid fast- but I have to order a DVR because a external mounted camera throws it off too much. Word of warning is the frame is somewhat weak- it will handle very light crashes, but not much else.

I flew it a few days ago, camera is too bulky, making it impossible to fly. I then flew without it and hit a tree at full speed- now I'm waiting for a FPV camera and frame :( I will try getting my bro to film it LOS.
