10th grader here. I'm going to play this song solo on guitar in a café. As part of the school curriculum. This is a beautiful song, and you four have made it justice. If anyone's wondering, I take piano, not guitar. Still good at both.

Back here and commenting again: I genuinely prefer this to the original purely based on the vocals being better! 😂 The Smashing Pumpkins were one of the best bands of the 90s/early 00s and Mellon Collie the greatest rock achievement of the 90s. That said, Billy Corgan had/has a voice akin to bagpipes trying to mate with an accordion. Some clean, clear, melodic singing in an echoing assembly hall with barely any sound production (especially the drums which sound as though the kit is being thrown down a flight of stairs 😅) really highlights that weakness.

Dude, for the 1st time you played in front of an audience...that was incredible!. Seen the SP in concert for their 1st 4 albums. Billy would be proud of u if he seen this. Props
