How to Make The ARB Twin Compressor Perform Better
Rather than cutting factory installed parts, modify the components of the light fixtures or whatever modifications ore being added to the Grenadier framework, so that they can be used without having to permanently alter components of the Grenadier, that makes much more sense.
Have you a link to buy this kit?
Those brakes are massive. Would like to see the difference in before and after braking distances
We'll have to run some tests, but the Grenadier is already loaded down with the roof top tent, front steel bumper, and some interior storage. Personally, I think the factory brakes are ok on a stock Grenadier. It's when you start loading it up, and especially with a trailer that you should start thinking about safety options.
Is that rust on the frame?
It's just dirt. The frame is wax coated from factory
Is this a lift or an OEM replacement?
it's an OE replacement. Shadowmarq has a leveling spacer kit available.
@@morevanever1311 Can this be used with the Eibach lift springs
Any issues with cruise control with 295s?
No issues with my sprinter. I haven't heard any feedback from others about issues on new sprinters either.
Arb actually makes relocation kit for this 👍
Nice Brahda 🤙🏾 🔥 Van how is the road noise on the freeway with tires? What's the best tires for less road noise ?
The vans are a bit noisy already, but you can mitigate that with sound deadening material. I didn't really find a difference in road noise between the Toyo AT3s and RT Trails. Personally, I like the RT Trail tires better. Road noise isn't loud enough for me to notice compared to the wind noise of a roof rack (especially with lights up front). I think road noise significantly goes up with MT tires.
Hi there! Next time can you please go outside and show us the difference at night with these new LED's compared to the stock one? Thank you!
Will do.
Where can I find these spacers?
Looks great and so much more functional than the standard lights!
As if these Soy Boys would get off road at night? This is just for looks in the carpool lane.
But why? These aren’t race trucks and never will be. I completely fail to understand the point of this besides pointing to red brakes at cars and coffee.
BBK's aren't just for going fast. They help reduce brake fade or even failure on steep down grades when some of these vehicles have excessive loads or trailers.
Where can these be installed, I’m in Texas.
These are so new, I'm don't know any dealers that have installed these yet. Look up JR Customs in TX. They are a dealer for Shadowmarq Industries.
Looks great - thanks for the walkaround. I’d definitely be interested in watching installation videos for your products and other 3rd party mods.
We'll be doing more of that. We just came out with a plug'n'play wiring harness for the KC Grill Lights kit. I should have that up later this week.
*still learning* and my search for “super single sprinter” brought me here. We bought a 2017 Sprinter 3500 170 ext high roof. Single rear wheel. The factory specs are that the rear tires equate to about 2” larger than the front. When I put on new tires, all the same size, van went to limp mode and dash lite up like a Christmas tree. Only solution was putting smaller tires on the front. This is annoying as hell and we go through tires fairly quickly due to the l-r/r-l rotation. Local MB dealer was no help. Is anyone aware if it’s possible to fix this through programming so I can run the same size tire on all four corners? TIA
Hi Chris, if you get the dually hubs you can switch your wheels the the REIKA super singles that are 17x8 all around. We fit 295/70/17 tires with just a minor modification to the front fender trim using the Terrawagen Mondo Mudguards. If you have a 2WD, you'll need to lift the van 2 inches to clear the tires. If you need P/N's let me know. We've done a few factory super single builds.
Don't buy dually for a passenger van or RV. Everything TH-cam says is not working. Agile...? No way. They are good at wasting your money. I tried Agile Shock...not working. Finally, I got a VB air suspension. It works a little. But it does not bring the ride comfort level to 2500 passenger van. Just do not buy dually. If you already have one. sell it cheap. There is no way to bring the 3500 dually's ride comfort level to 2500. I spent $20,000+ on agile shock and VB air suspension...etc. But my 2023 dually ride is still rough as hell compared to a 2500-passenger van. Don't waste money and time by watching these stupid youtube commercials.
You should sell all that stuff and upgrade to King Shocks and Deaver leaf springs then. You'll also want to switch to super singles. Get the quality suspension components and you won't complain about your ride quality.
@morevanever1311 Upgrade? From VB air suspension to king shock and leaf spring? Do you know anything about suspension? Stop spreading wrong ideas.
Any long term review on these? considering them for my 3500 xd awd
They've been on since Feb this year (when they first came out). No issues at all. They are currently the largest shocks available for the 3500 Rear application. Again, built specifically for the 3500 chassis, not a random shock that was thrown in to make work. Combined with the Deaver leaf springs, the suspension setup is like butter, especially if you like stability on turns, and going faster on trails.
Anything in the works for front driveshaft with steep cv angle?
Not by us, but we know there are a few companies that are working on it.
@@morevanever1311 Cool - Thanks.
How do you never use a parking brake ? No need for it at all 😮. Brother, come up with the park brake mechanism and you’ll have many clients, otherwise they look good
I have never used it, unless I drive manual. I can't remember the last time I've been in a situation where I've needed to pull that hand brake. We're looking into ways to keep that hand brake function, but it will take some time to R&D.
IF there is room inside I would place those little round flashers in the extreme upper rear corners. If you’re parked over a bit of a rise on the side of the road an oncoming car could see you just a bit sooner.
Yea we looked at that too. There a bracket behind the panel that's blocking access. We originally wanted to do flush mount FE1's, but there's not enough space for the light housing.

LOL. Honestly I love that you're hating so much. Go tell White Knuckle that their rock sliders are "fake". Good luck with that. haha
White Knuckle is the real deal no question about it.
30% more expensive than the factory rock sliders.
100% stronger and better designed too.
@@morevanever1311 do we have comparison tests to back that up?
Did you lift it? How tall?
Yes. Currently on the Eibach 2.5 coils. We will be going down to 2" coils soon with our own design.
Nice Grenadier but they’re too low they need more ground clearance, needs to be a little bit taller
The Grenadier still has a lot of ground clearance with these rock sliders
Stock brakes were professionally engineered specifically for the Grenadier to deal with any condition including the additional weight and heat build up associated with towing… plenty of capacity built in. Eliminating the parking brake is beyond silly from an emergency and safety standpoint. The point of having an emergency/parking brake is for situations you didn’t anticipate like ripping off a brake line off-road or assisting on a steep mountain track or parking on a hill. With regard to suspension lifts, it will cause driveline issues in the long run. Grenadiers front pinion/driveshaft angle is already aggressive in order to try and maintain some caster for the front axle and a tall lift exacerbates the problem. Sure you can get an alignment and dial in more caster but again it just creates an even more severe angle for the front driveshaft. If this is purely an off-road rig go ahead and modify away. Problem is most folks modify their vehicles to the hilt then rarely go off-road and spend the rest of eternity complaining and chasing issues they’ve created with all their mods.
The Grenadiers are not the G-wagons and Range Rovers you see today. They are purpose built. The demographic of buyers (for the most part) want to go offroad. Yes, I agree it would have been ideal to retain the hand brake, but the design from INEOS is one of the most out dated emergency hand brake systems, although I understand its for simplicity. There are ways to develop an alternative system, but it requires a lot of re-work on the braking system. Yes, of course INEOS designed a "capable" brake system. There's always better, and that's what this is. Upgrading the front brakes to a BBK is a viable option. You don't have to do the rear if you're not comfortable with eliminating the hand brake function.
Very cool
Thanks. It's one way to stand out from the other Grenadiers
@@morevanever1311 We saw one at the British Auto Show in Safety Harbor. Then we went to test drive one. It was mostly a local drive, nothing on the interstate. Very impressive build quality, but I’ve heard many have AC issues-which is a big item in Florida. Wife loved it, but I think she might miss the amenities of the Denali at some point. Would be interested in seeking a low mileage used one in maybe 2026.

Amber Lenses are an optional item. The FE4's come with clear lenses and a gold bezel ring from KC. There are black, blue, and red bezel options.

Anyone doing portals for the Grenadier?
I believe there is a Quartermaster in the UK that has a set. Portals are awesome, but the price tag hurts
The German company LeTech has a great set.
looks good
Thanks! The other design configurations look good too.
Wow, that’s a ton of money in a vehicle.
Luckily I get to use it all 👍🏻
Brake disk slots are there for gas dissipation from disk surface, upon hard and long braking. I dont understant why people install such brakes on the cars with max speed of 120Km/h and for use in the offroad conditions... there are great videos about how OEM brakes works just fine most of the time, which where people drive usualy :) but oh well, its nice when people what to spend extra money. BTW brakes ventilation i believe are wrongly mounted, it should be other way around, for better air intake.
@mariusakelis8689 I've heard that argument before. I think it's misunderstood that just bc it's it on an "offroad" vehicle doesn't mean its not valuable on road. 80% of the journey is spent getting to the destination. Check Brembo, and other top BBK brands. Vents are the same
@@morevanever1311 i'm not saying it's not valuable, i'm just saying that slots not for cooling but for gas dissipation, gas which generates during hard and prolonged braking, which is not very relevant on such slow car even on the road. I'm just saying :) no offens :)
Agree. Vanes are back to front. Notice the stopping distance comparison? The guy's got two dicks.
As soon as he said it omits the handbrake I was out. Guy has a LIFTED Grenadier, on Kings, and doesn’t have a parking brake?! What kind of mall crawling, never wheels, setup is this?! Let’s also mention that at least in my home state you just made it so the vehicle will never pass inspection. You now have a very expensive trailer queen. At least it stops tho! Brands like Ceika Brakes have been offering rear big brake kits for vehicles for decades that either retain factory parking brake, offer a modified shoe to separate caliper conversion, OR provide a way to implement a parking brake if one didn’t exist before. What was Rotora thinking!?
You can always buy the front alone. Mall crawler.. I bet this rig has seen more miles on the dirt than yours. LOL
@@morevanever1311 how much do you want to bet? Put your money on the table. You’re quick to judge someone who you know nothing about. Let’s put some perspective for future readers. My vehicle has seen 50,000 miles in the last four years and it’s a dedicated expedition/overland rig. It does not leave its spot unless it’s on an adventure. It has completed the MABDR, NEBDR, SCAR, OOAT, Georgia Traverse, multiple trips out west, and countless trips to off-road parks. Yes all of this in the last 4 years. I assure you mine has seen more dirt than your Van.
@lsxfbodygen3 lol. You shot first buddy. Save your energy for FB
So what is the rationale behind extending the brake lines but ignoring the wheel speed sensor cabling and the brake wear sensor cabling?
They didn't need to be extended apparently..
When owners of SUVs think they're LeMan race drivers... Go ahead, waste your money.
BBK's aren't only for speed. Glad you only race cars lol
Totally useless stuff!
to each their own..
Looks really cool, but the OEM brakes are rated for the GVW, even when pulling a trailer. And removing the hand brake? That should not be promoted. It should be used anytime you're parking on any kind of incline, because otherwise the weight of the vehicle is acting against the pin in the transmission. If you damage that pin... :O
Yea it's not applicable for every owner. Like I said in the video.. hills are far and few me. However, in places maybe like San Francisco where that whole city is hills, then the hand brake is used more frequently. Maybe the front is the only option.
Looks Great. Lots of ricer mods coming out for the Grenadier. What we need is Castor Correction links to correct the driveline issues.
Something to that effect is being installed on my Grenadier this past week, hoping it's the answer we are all looking for in regards to drive-shaft and CV issues.
Get ready for your drive-axle to snap at any point in the near future. Changes made to the suspension don’t work out very well with the way the drive axle was designed. Numerous Drive shafts have already failed.
I don't think suspension is the sole reason
@@morevanever1311 but man the majority of failures have been on lifted vehicles, while nothing else has been changed in the suspension and drivetrains. The rush to be lifted was...maybe hastened too much?
@@morevanever1311 and for the record, I know Eibach is a great product, it’s not the product creating the issue, vs the same product from another brand not creating the issue. It’s simply the application of ANY lift is most likely premature without consideration to what else needs to be changed at the same time.
yea I think 2.5" might be too aggressive. However, I haven't had any issues since installing the coils. I spent 4 days exploring UT Canyonlands without any problems. Regardless, we are developing shorter 2" lift coils. I think that will help with any concerns about the angles.
@@morevanever1311my rig is at MetalCloak now getting some prototype stuff installed that should help with all this too. I’m optimistic.
I will say omitting the hand break is a deal breaker for me 🙁… looks great though
Yea for some it's not the right fit, but you can buy the front BBK separately and still gain better braking performance.
I agree with you but definitely wouldn't mind the front brakes!
@@morevanever1311Is it better performance if the master cylinder dimensions are not changed?
@@stevegreen101you sir win the question of the internet today. This is commonly overlooked! Answer is marginally but measurable. The system works as, well, a system. You indeed would need to address the master cylinder if you wanted optimum performance. You also need to address brake balance. This concept is common place in the racing industry.
@stevegreen101 the caliper piston bores are measured/designed accordingly to gain the most optimal performance
So are you suggesting that Eibach, Kone and Magna don't know how to do suspension? I have 24,000 kms on mine and have no problem with the suspension or steering.
I'm suggesting that when it comes to offroad performance shocks, King Shocks does it better
@@morevanever1311Intimating that Grenadier owners need to buy Kings is laughable at best….
@@Gnargoyle811 Nobody "needs" to do anything. People do what they want. King Shocks are a significant improvement over stock shocks. If you think otherwise, that's laughable...
@@morevanever1311 Predictably, you’ve missed the point, quite on purpose I might add.
No doubt the OE shocks will get warmer than remote res ones. But here’s the thing, if you are travelling in conditions where this will happen, i.e. long distances, at speed, on corrugations, you should have reduced air in your tyres and reduced speed relative to that. Both those factors will limit the impact on the shocks and there will be no advantage in the remote res. If you want to race, however, go to town on racing components. I’m not sure that many Grenadier buyers are planning to do that, though…
Did the ride improve from the suspension or the larger tires?
Definitely the suspension. The larger tires are better for offroad since they have more side wall and allow for more cushioning when you air down.
Standard shocks are only to get the vehicle off the dealer lot , at 20,000 they are done and a good after market shocks are a must .
Some people don't care for performance and there's nothing wrong with that. However, there are people that want the finer things and should look at these shocks for their Ineos Grenadier 👍🏻
@jimdiamond8246 You’re not serious, right?
Where can I find an authorized dealer/installer in the Seattle area/Bellevue Washington area?

Hi, its called a Briidea Electronic Alternating Flasher Kit Relay. You can find it on Amazon. The KC Cyclone V2's are usually used as accent lights and rock lights, but I think they work great as chase lights when combined with the Baja Designs S2's. The dual amber kit is listed at $65.

Sweet. I'll check it out.

Are you having drive shaft issues, such as vibrations, noises, drivability issues with the lift/tires?
fortunately, I haven't experienced any of that. I forgot to mention that I have the eibach coils, but we are coming out with our own which will be 2" instead of the 2.5's I have now. When I was on stock coils for testing King Shocks, the 35s fit without rubbing.
