shitty luck but keep trucking. I got two cores I want to build. a punched out 30 over 2 bolt for emissions engine "Im in cali, lifes fun...." then a slightly rusted std bore 4 bolt that I would like to do .10 over and go ape shit on and do a similar build to yours. been stuck on a mad max blower setup since I was a kid just not have a scott injection system. but thats a beer induced dream until I get my bills handled plus my little hellraiser has been fun.

I’ve been watching the series on this engine. I got ahold of a TBI motor. We just pulled it last night. Rear main isnt leaking, it spins after a lil effort. #8 had a touch of water but not in the oil. Oil didn’t have the doom swirl in it either. So that was a hopeful sign. I’m lookin at the loaded eBay heads but after watching your vid on em I’m kinda shying away from loaded. I’m also looking at a roller cam. I’ve been seeing horror stories about the flat tappet for awhile. Glad to see they’re holding up under an N/A application. Makes me feel better about em. Thanks bud 🤙🏻

Rebuild it. It's a great motor. Put in a small truck, last for ever.

It didn't look, to me, like much effort went into that crank "polish". Just wiped it off with a 2000 grit rag

That aluminum plate inside the intake manifold is an attempt to enhance the low rpm torque. To make it behave more like a dual plane manifold. I wouldn't throw that divider plate out if you're planning on using that manifold. It might make a noticeable difference in the low-speed driveability. I found one once in a V8 Vega i bought. It had an old Holley single plane manifold. That car drove a lot better with the plate than without it.

That timing set is not original original cam gear was aluminum with nylon teeth you broke those piston rings because you need to take the ridge at the top of cylinder before you pound the pistons out and fuel pump rod needs to be removed for the cam. To come out. You haven't taken to many engines apart

I am running a set on a 98 350 block and it is fine too. Just do not reuse the pushrods the guideplates will eat them.

When your blower is big enough to be a desk it sit to high bc the engines to tall so you can’t see the computer 😅😂

But Lord why did you spend all that money to run throttle body injection? Was there no other option with that super charger? Because that would of been make it or break it for that super charger for me personally. I feel if you run throttle body injection you might as well run carbs because it's no better other than a tiny bit easier to tune

Cool build! You may have issues with your 'vacuum signal' ports'. They wont see load under the carbs like they would NA. The vacuum only increases with engine load instead of the other way around with a blower
