I like to stay busy learning new things so I find projects that interest me and try to rebuild or restore them. My OCD kicks in and often times I’m way over budget but I love to try and figure things out that I’ve never done. I appreciate you watching and subscribing. I welcome all feedback good or bad.
In search of 1960-1966 Chevrolet C10 K10 parts at John’s Salvage Co in Seguin Texas
Today I went an hour and 15 minutes southeast to John’s Salvage Company in Seguin Texas. This place is supposed to have 5,000+ vintage vehicles and after walking through the yard I believe it. There is some very cool cars and trucks to buy or pick parts from. We were looking specifically for parts for my 1966 K10.

Hey guys, here’s a new project that I bought back in March of 2023. I am not a mechanic in fact after I got out of the Navy in 1993, I’ve been in sales. I just installed the TMI Sport Seats with added bolstering in my 1967 Camaro RS and they look really nice and are very comfortable. Very happy with this product.
I've been running that same 427 stroker in my 84 S10 for 5 years no problems it's a great engine 💯 nice RS👍
Great restoration!! I have one I am redoing for a friend's daughter but powder coating the chrome parts. Can I ask a question as I am tearing it down.....how did you get the part where you put your feet apart from the U bracket that holds it? Thanks in advance
@@Buicksx2 thank you. It just pries apart. On one side the ball is in the foot rest and on the other side the ball is in the u bracket. It’s a little tough because of how much grime gets in there over the years.

What headers did you use?

Just the Motor alone is a work of Art! And that Big Block Sound!
I have FiTech as well and can not get the idle to stop surging. Do you have any tips?
I’d reach out to FiTech_Mike on Instagram. He helped me. Mine was a ground issue. I believe he works for them. He’s seems really knowledgeable and wants to help.

I bought the short block version when they offered it but yes basically the same engine.

Beautiful I bought a 67 RS in 1976 I was only 14 years old for $700 it was Lemans Blue. It was my first restoration project. I finished it when I was 18. Wished I still had it. I have a 69 Bird now.

The whole front runner system is from CVF Racing. You can get a remote reservoir setup or attached. This one is attached. Thanks!!
Do you recall what headers you went with?
They were hooker. I had them ceramic coated. I did have to dent them in a bit to make them fit.
Sweet car! I have a 67 RS/SS tribute. It has a 68 Camaro 327. It will be 4 years now in January. Straight love affair. Many small jobs to do but I don't see myself parting with "Lyn".
Just favorited this video..... I'm rebuilding a 78 corvette now but this is my next car to rebuild and this is what I want it to look like when I'm done. Absolutely beautiful car.

This is the exact set up I want for my 68 Black Beauty Camaro...Do you need a special set up to keep the engine cool.....Or is cooling not a problem ?
I did put a nice aluminum radiator and a big electric fan, but she runs right around 200 in Texas with AC on. So not too bad but I definitely keep an eye on it.

@@mister70s yes it would have fit under a flat hood no problem. Same size as the 350 that I pulled out.
@@mister70s Use a shroud, mechanical fan and an electric hooked to a thermostatic switch, bulletproof. Like the flexalite balck nylon fans. Move lot of air quiet and unbreakable.
What kind of fuel mileage you getting just out cruising? I’d love to have one but I actually drive mine a lot. Sometimes daily. Need something that’s also reliable
I averaged about 13-14 MPG just cruising. I have 3.55 rear end gears and a Tremec 5 speed. So far it’s been super reliable.

I’ve been looking into the same motor…does it run well on 91 octane? I’ve seen that’s what they recommend
It does. I run 93 because that’s my only option (89 is the next lowest) and it runs like a beast.
