Что толку от ручки справа, если на ней нет кнопки спуска? И эта клетка - плохой вариант - закрывает всё управление справа. Есть клетка где эта часть камеры не закрыта. А вот ручка слева, тем более поворотная - это плюс. Но при установке ручки справа нарушается центровка камеры при использовании верхне родной ручки. Я использовал от Tilta, у неё другой крепёж и это позволяет сдвинуть её влево, в сторону левой поворотной ручки. Центровка сохраняется даже с накамерным монитором на центральной ручке.

love the video. Im about to travel the world for a year and just purchased the 20mm (paired with A7IV) love the wide angle it seems to give. You just helped clear up many questions about compatibility.

hi i'm going for similar trip to south asia for 2 months, i didn't decide between the lumix S5ii or the ZVE1. the S5ii is exatcly like the A7iv but has a bit worse AF but much better ibis. the ZVE1 is the best in video for no crop at 60 and 120 but i'm wondering if i really need slowmo on a trip and worried about banding for the pictures since it doesnt have a mec shutter

I keep seeing people making great review videos, and then surrounding their stills examples with rapid, flashing, 'scratch' effects. I just don't get it? It is SO distracting when trying to soak in people's sample images.

Are you glad you bought the cage and do you use it most of the time you are shooting?

Handheld at that distance is not the easiest. I bought a cheap carbon mono/tripod and a large LEOFOTO MH-60 Ball Head, which calms the whole system down and sharpens up your shots, and also give your arms a rest. You mentioned this I know. For days at a time I would not be without. (using A7RIV with grip and 600mm lens - so, heavy). 100-400 is a lightweight, but would a balanced ball head would still help with improved panning than handheld, I would imagine. More importantly, great vid and your luck to do such a shoot. When I retire I would enjoy that type of thing. :)

Hi, great video! I am planning on getting the sony A7I V for a family vacation throught out Italy. Pictures will include not only major cities, but also wineries throughout Tuscany. Do you recommend the 20mm and the 85mm over a sigma 24 to 70 lense or even a sony 20-70 lense? Thank you

If Sony adds aperture ring, it could become a G lens = heavier and expensive. Actually for 85mm, most situations we use max f1.8 only for portraits

Great vid. The footage you took on this lens is so vibrant and glowy! It's lovely! How much post work did you do to achieve such gorgeous footage? And did you film raw?

I don't do much film....I am sure the 100-400 lens is great...but...I am not a fan of external focus...my choice is the Sony fe 200-600/5.6-6.3...plus its cheap enough to buy outright used.

I got the A7iv with the 100-400 lens and its a beast! i do not and i repreat, i do not regret getting the 200-600 mm. And after stepping in to the world of the GM lenses i find it hard to not get anything else for the future.

Yah, but what about pressing the damn record button that is almost hard to fix under the cage. Why they don't add Record buttons on all handles is so whack. U have to search for button to record and stop recording which adds camera shake. Kinda stupid in my opinion.

Awesome footage! would you say shooting 4k 60 for slo mo is better because of the 4k resolution or 1080 at 120?🤔 I find that when I need to change my footage to vertical format from horizontal for other social media use it just looks so crappy because it crops and and the quality looks awful but doing motorsport sometimes you want/need those slo mo shots so is 4k 60 still enough to get decent slo mo say for gt cars?

great video! two points: in the end you mention that the most important feature is the low price, "even if this means omitting some of the mentioned features". well, this is exactly that lens ;) cheap yet great! another point is that the current 85/1.4 GM lens costs nearly 4x times the price - and has a FAR worse AF than this cheap little gem. i think this should be noted, so that viewers know where that lens sits on the market.

The shot of the mechanic washing the wheel no way i took exactly the same from a more lower pov at the same moment into the night that’s funny. (Mine is in a way worse quality being on an old camera but soon my new a7iii will be useful)

I think that the expectation of stabilization to perform better at 600 is unrealistic. A slight movement at the end of the lens equates several meters of travel at the focal point. Being able to hold a focus at that range is amazing in and of itself. Expecting stabilization to compensate for that is unrealistic.

I love this lens. No wonder you can now find loads of 24 GM for sale used. Mine was stolen, it was a blessing in a way, the 20mm 1.8 is great.
