Seint Artist Program FAQ- All Your Questions Answered! 💋
Thank you for this! I’m on week 3 and if anything I notice a reduction in shedding. My hair doctor told me as you said any medication that works will cause shedding at first. I’m not looking forward to that but I realize it’s a hump I have to get over before new hair starts to grow :) I’ve had excessive shedding phases after surgery and dramatic weight loss and she said it wouldn’t be more than that kind of shedding so that’s fine. I’m hopefull it will work! I’m on 2.5mg right now and will increase to 5mg next week per my doctors instruction. We shall see!
You're so welcome! The shed will come soon, but you can wear hats and dark cover up to get you through. It has a good effectiveness rate, so I hope you'll see great results! Best of luck to you!
Extremely helpful and you are very pretty!
Thank you so much!!! 🥰 So glad you found it helpful!
Btw your natural hair is also beautiful :)
Thank you so much! 💕 Wish I had more of it! I'm fighting Alopecia, so it's nice to have some additional options. 🙂
You look in your 30s
That's such a sweet thing to say; thank you! 🥰💕
Side note your eye makeup is so pretty 😍 really makes your eyes pop!

Sorry to be honest the hair part looks fake .It’s too perfect Could it be plucked to widen it as natural hair?
Hi, Alice. You could absolutely pluck it a little to widen the part. I don't have the heart for any plucking, yet, because I'm so happy to have 'full' hair and after losing so much, I'm paranoid and value every strand, but I think that's definitely a good idea and would work well. Good luck!
Can you share your lipstick ??
Hi, April. I believe I was wearing this lip color- terriwheatmakeuptribe.seintofficial.com/en/shop/office/353/lip-cheek/384/lip-cheek-royal/ I'm a Seint Artist and that's the makeup I use. If you need help or would like to be color matched, let me know; I'd love to help! 😊
The line shouldn't be so narrow, it doesn't look natural.
You can definitely pluck it to thin some more. That's common, but after being on this difficult hair loss journey, I just don't have the heart to pluck anything yet. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful. Good luck!
I appreciate you sharing your experience. I am feeling very hopeful now.
Thank you and good luck! 💕

Thank you for putting together this video! Are you only taking the minoxidil or are you also taking it with spironolactone or something else? I have been recommended both but not comfortable with the side effects listed for spironolactone.
You're so welcome! I am only taking Minoxidil because, exactly like you, I was definitely concerned with those side effects. If I can get acceptable results with this more minimal one, I'd rather go that route. Though I have heard good things about it. I don't like taking meds, but this is a very small dose with minimal side effects and it's working well. I like starting with the Minoxidil and then you can see how effective it is on its own without bringing something else into the mix. You may find that you're happy without adding in the extra things. Good luck! :)
The possible side effects affecting the heart is concerning. What prompted you to start knowing this and have you experienced any heart issues or swelling that your dr. had to address?
Well, I have some heart issues and am not a medicine taker, so I wanted to research everything well. But, the dosage I take for hair loss is a fraction of the much larger doses taken by people using it as a blood pressure medicine. I had a battery of cardiac tests in December and started Minoxidil in January. I had more heart tests in May and actually had improvement across the board since starting it. I'm not saying it improved my heart, but I know that it didn't harm anything, so that was very reassuring for me. It's a prescribed medication, so always talk to your doctor and make sure it makes sense and is a fit for your personal health status before considering it, but for me, luckily, I've had no ill effects and it's been very positive. I wish you the best of luck! :)
Looks amazing!😍

I am just a couple weeks into oral minoxidil and have high hopes. I've lost a lot of weight on top of perimenopause and so I started losing a lot of hair. The medicine seems to be working because I'm definitely shedding more. It's nerve-wracking 😅 but I figure I can get through winter wearing wigs and toppers. Thank you for the moral support.
Hopefully you'll also get some recovery of hair from the weight loss related hair loss, too! Perimenopause, no fun, I know. Ugh! It is totally nerve wracking and it must be working well since you're already in that phase. It's so hard, but so worth it! Hang in there, girlie, and good luck! You're so welcome! 💕
Hi thanks so much for this I am 71 years old and still have pretty good hair but the thing I noticed a couple years ago is that I have a part that comes down from the crown and it makes my hair look dirty even though I just washed it the gal that cuts my hair said it’s from a cowlick and that I have always had this cowlick but because my hair is thinning it now causes my hair to part. I really know nothing about hair loss and am just now looking into it because I was looking at a plastic surgeon site and he said to not wait to get on it as soon as you notice any change. Is the minoxidil over the counter now or do you have to get a prescription. I also Read that if you used 2 things at once that can sometimes work better is there a particular shampoo that you used with the pill? thanks so much. I think your hair looks great.
You're so welcome! I have the same thing going on with a cowlick in my crown, so I know just what you mean. It's a pain! The oral Minoxidil is prescribed through your doctor or dermatologist. Much easier, in my opinion, than using the over the counter foams and liquids to apply. I feel like oral is most effective. I have tried many different shampoos, including the pricey Aveda line, and I didn't feel like they made a difference. When you read their claims, it just says that it promotes healthy hair and scalp with keeping it clean and nourished, not that it actually grows new hair. I've went down a rabbit hole and the dermatologists and doctors that I follow seem pretty skeptical, too. I take good quality multi vitamins. I've heard good things about red light therapy, but not tried it for hair. I've not found a shampoo that truly helps hair to grow and I'm skeptical about them, but if you find a good one, please let me know! :) Thank you, I appreciate that! Good luck! I'll keep everyone posted if I find anything else that's helpful! 💕
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe just saw your reply - thanks! I’ll ask my derm re minoxidil. I’m sorry you have the same crown cowlick - it seems fairly common, or at least not uncommon.
@@Candleflower42 All of these things are more common than we realize, I think, but people don’t generally talk about it. It’s good to support each other and know we are not alone. Good luck! 💕
What dosage did you use
I take 1.25 mg daily. My doctor orders the 2.5 mg and has me halve them. I've heard that 5 mg is very effective, but that it makes you more likely to have side effects. I wanted to start with the lowest dosage I could that is still effective and, luckily, it's working. Good luck!

Can you put a tape on the front of this topper? And is it available in darker colours for someone with a tanned/brown skin?
Hi! At the 6:08 mark, I apply the tape at the front, which is fine to do. The nude is the only color Uniwigs carries, but if they went too dark with it, it wouldn't show up in your part line. It's pretty subtle, not stark, and it has the lace mesh over it, so it doesn't feel bright or super light at all. What you could do, if you feel it's too light for you, is to apply a little foundation/ powder/ bronzer/ contour along the top to get the perfect shade and lightness that you're looking for. I will add foundation or powder, sometimes, to brighten it up, since the lace mesh softens it. Good luck! :)
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribesorry thats not what I meant by tape. I meant apply a tape in the front to secure it on your head and maybe have it semi permanently for a couple of days. I have a topper which I apply a strip of tape on the front, and sometimes i dont have to use the clip on which is also good for my weak bio hair
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribesorry thats not what I meant by tape. I meant apply a tape in the front to secure it on your head and maybe have it semi permanently for a couple of days. @@mahasamhadan4326 oh so sorry! Thanks for clarifying. You could use tape but I feel like wearing it for days wouldn’t be great for your bio hair under it because as you sleep you would have some rubbing. Also your scalp wouldn’t be able to breathe through the night which I think is probably good for it. Also, I would be nervous about potentially pulling out any of my own bio hair along my hairline. Just some things to consider but doing tape for a day just for more security should work!

What is the base size?
Hi, Annette. The base is 7x8"
I have a bcc in the same exact spot as you and the same size. My dr removed most of it with the biopsy and it’s barely there now. Having Mohs in early Nov. This video was so informative. I am worried about staples and wondering if I will need to take off work the day after surgery or longer? (I work in a school) Thank you and hope you’ve fully recovered!
@@Jayrob1220 i’m so sorry you’re going through that! We thought my doctor had removed everything but the Mohs still found cancer remaining so I’m so glad you’re following up and getting the full treatment. It’s been a little over two months for me and it’s still kind of angry pink and shiny bald so I don’t know if the hair will grow back but I’m hopeful. It will pull and be uncomfortable and tender and the bandage is not cute but you should be absolutely fine to work. You have to leave the bandage on for 24 hours and then you can go down to Vaseline and change the bandages for a week. Not a cute look but it is what it is. Hoping you have a great results and that you never have to deal with it again. Thank you! 🙏
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe Thank you and I hope your hair grows back soon ! 🤞🏼
@@Jayrob1220 Thank you! 😊
Doesn't look bad at all. I am having Mohs early Nov on my face. Worried because the spot has been frozen several times over the years. So it could be a larger/deeper area than shows!
Thank you. Still hoping hair starts to grow back there. 2.5 months later and it's still angry pink and shiny bald. However, I think the actual scar looks really good and minimal. Good luck with your Mohs. I hope you heal beautifully and have little to no scarring, and definitely no further cancer! Best wishes! 💕
Menopause, Hypothyroidism, generics and had Covid 4x and just started oral Minoxidil a few days ago. My hair will start to come back in then shed so I'm hoping this will help because I've been going through this for 4 yrs now and I'm starting to feel defeated! Good luck to everyone on this journey ❤
I think you'll be very happy and have a good response to it. The fact that your hair starts to come back and is trying is good news. That's part of what Minoxidil does is to extend the life span of your strands of hair to that they stay put for much longer and don't shed as much. It's been remarkable for me. It takes a few months, but it's worth it. Don't give up and best of luck to you! ❤
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe I think the Minoxidil may be causing side effect of acid reflux. I hope not but I'll have to try to stop for a few and see if it subsides.
@@lainelynn70 I hadn't heard of that before, but everyone is different and I'm sure it's possible. The best you can do is take it early in the day, not before bed, and with a small meal. Hoping you get it figured out and that you can continue with Minoxidil! 🙏
LOVE IT. WHERE TO BUY IT PLEASE?
Looks great, but not a fan of the dark roots and hombre look.
Thanks! No worries, they definitely have options without the dark roots or ombre' coloring. There's so much variety, I feel like there's something for all tastes 😊
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe Thank you!
@@Lonewolf-i8p You’re welcome! 😊
Do you color the hair to make it match the topper? My hair falls out when I color it 😢
You could either color your topper to match your own, if it doesn't match, or you could choose a full wig that hides all of your hair and then you're free to choose any color and style. With a topper, I feel like I need to either straighten or slightly curl my bio hair to match the smooth, styled texture of a topper's hair, so if your hair is fragile, getting a full wig might be a good option because you don't see your hair at all, so no heat styling whatsoever. Good luck! 💕
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe Thank you so much ❤️ yes, very fragile hair
@@Asa-wv1zb You're so welcome! I get it; I'm 52 and since menopause hit in my 40s, my hair has definitely become more fragile. Hair toppers are that smooth, perfect hair texture, so if you want to save yours from all styling, I'd say look into their wigs. :)
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe I'm in the same boat as you so I know exactly what you are talking about. It's a grieving process too, to grieve and accept hairloss. We are lucky these days though that alternative hair is not considered something foregin anymore. I know there are worse things in life, but to a woman, we want hair. Sending you lots of love!
@@Asa-wv1zb You are absolutely right and so many women, my doctor, friends, don't get it at all. It's no big deal because it's not them. It absolutely is a grieving process and something almost no women talk about which makes it harder. Yes, thank God alternative hair has come such a long way and that more women are wearing it. We need to normalize it, just like gals who wear lash extensions, braces, contacts, or hair extensions. It's hard enough without stigma and society's opinions. Sending you lots of love, too, girlie! Good luck on your journey! 💕
how would your back not show? I am a newbie is why ask the question. How do you hide your back hair?
Sondra, you're right, when you're wearing your hair piece out in public, unless you just have it up in a ponytail, you need to either get a piece that matches your hair well or you could have it colored to match your own. You have some minimal coverage in the back with toppers, but your real hair will show through, so it's important to find a good match (in a topper), or to get a full wig that hides all of your hair and frees you to wear a variety of colors. I change up my bio hair color often, so when I'm using these toppers, I'm using them for Zoom calls or videos or demonstration. :)
Been thinking about starting oral minoxidil. Do you think I the shedding would be even worse on a higher dose?? The shedding is what scares me!!!! I have so little hair from having Covid 3 times. I swear having Covid is like taking chemo with regards to hair loss.
I've not heard anything about it being worse, but I wouldn't think so. I would guess that it's just a bigger wake up call for your body to invoke a response. I'll tell you, though, in my opinion, even if it is, it's worth 6-8 weeks of wearing hats, cream contour (life saver for me!), and gritting teeth to come out in 2 months with more hair than you've had in years. I will tell you, though, in your situation, all the women I know have eventually recovered most or all of their Covid hair loss with just time. Those kind of hair loss situations are typically temporary, so the hair will go back after the shock to the body's system calms and the hormones go back to normal. So you may not even need Minoxidil. Definitely take good quality multi-vitamins to give your body a boost and from what I've heard from others, it tends to come back in 6-12 months. I lost both of my parents, had Covid multiple times and went straight into menopause all in my 40s, so the grief and Covid gave it a head start, but I knew with menopause and a family history of hair loss that it likely wasn't come back on its own, so I had to take stronger steps to recover it and the sooner, the better in those cases. It's a personal decision and I completely understand your worries, but for me, it was the BEST decision and so glad I did it! Good luck, Kimberly! You're not alone! 💕🙏
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe been wearing caps and hats and using color hair spray and root cover up for years already and hair still looks awful. Everyone is different. My hair hasn’t recovered any from having Covid anytime I have had it. Thanks for the encouragement. I’m pretty discouraged after this last round with Covid. Glad you are having a good response!
@@KimberlyGould-w2s I'm so sorry you're going through that; it's truly awful. It sounds like you have a lot to gain from trying it and the loss is only temporary, but you have to do what feels right for you. Wishing you all the best and hoping you find the option that works well. I have some wigs and wig toppers that are great (they've come a long way!), but having your own hair recover is life changing. Good luck, Kimberly; we're rooting for you!
@@TerriWheatMakeupTribe thanks so much!!!

I had basal cell removed from my nose 8 months ago and just noticed a new spot on my scalp near my hair line. My basal cell didn’t look like what you typically see when searching online. Mine was dark. I thought it was a new freckle at first then a new mole and watched it grow for a few years and it became raised. I only got it checked bc it started peeling, oozing and bleeding 🥴This spot looks very different and seems to have appeared overnight so I don’t think it’s another bcc. It’s bluish and already the size of my bcc which took a long time to be this size. Getting it looked at next week. Hope it’s nothing.
Ugh, so sorry. It definitely sounds like something to be concerned about and take serious. So glad you're on top of it and getting it checked out. I hope it's nothing, too. Praying everything is ok! 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for this video. I started 1.25mg 3 weeks ago and my hair is shedding like crazy and I already feel like I have no hair to shed.... And I have gained some weight. I have been dealing with hairloss since Sept. 2022. I had covid in August 2022, low iron and vitamin D, mother diagnosed with cancer, failed lasek, etc. I am also going to be 51 in a few months. I have been to so many doctors, I just needed a break from it all. I am hoping and praying this actually works. I do take biotin, vitamin D, multivitamin and collagen.
Tina, you're welcome and, first of all, I'm so sorry about your mom. I've been there. I hope she's beating it and on her way to healing. I felt the same way when I went through the big shed and it's actually good news. That means it's working on you and 3 weeks in is early for results, so you're off to a good start! The shed is no fun, especially when you're thin already. I got through it by filling in my hairline and part with my cream contour, which made it tolerable. If the weight gain is really recent and from the med, it's likely water weight and will eventually go down. With Covid and the stress of your mom and failed lasek, that's hair loss that should come back within a year-ish as your body recovers. Keep taking good quality of vitamins and keep an eye on your levels. At almost 51, you may be in peri menopause and some of the hair loss could be due to that and hormone changes, which is a longer term issue. Since you're shedding like crazy since starting the Minoxidil, it's already working and that's very good news! The waiting and shedding is hard, but it's worth it! 💕
What happened to your failed lasek? 😮
I would’ve popped it too 🙋🏾♀️
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m curious to hear how long you have been taking the oral Monoxidil? When did you start seeing the results? I’m week 3 and was told it could take 6-12 months before I see any noticeable improvement.
You're welcome! I have been taking Minoxidil 7 1/2 months today and just over 5 months as of this video. Yes, it can take up to 6-12 months, but luckily mine was faster and, hopefully, yours will be, too. The 1st month I didn't notice anything and worried it wasn't working. The 2nd and 3rd months, I had lots of shedding and was panicking! By the end of the 4th month, I was noticing the major shed stopped and I had all kinds of baby hairs at my hairline. My part has thickened, too. A major improvement. Not all the hair I had in my 30s and before, but definitely a win. It's been great for me and I hope it is for you, too! 💕
You can tell, just saying.
Can you show grey toppers with length to just below chin. No bangs 🙏
Diana, now that you mention it, I've not seen a lot of grey options in the ones I've checked out. I'll keep my eye out! :) I only review things I love, so if I find one worthwhile, I'll do a video on it!
Thanks so much for the video! You expressed exactly the same fears and feelings that I'm having right now about starting Oral Minoxidil. I've been using the topical foam for years and I don't really know if it helps me or not since I've never been consistent in using it... because it is a pain like you mentioned, plus it makes my scalp itchy and flaky. I've had the bottle of oral minoxidil in my cupboard for 2 months now, but have been afraid to start taking it; because of the dread shed and the potential side effects. It's so good to hear someone else's experience and that you're having good results. It gives me hope and courage. Thanks so much for sharing your experience. ps. I was thinking what great eyebrows you have, and then you mentioned that you had them micro-bladed... mine are getting sooo thin, I'm going to look into that. 😊
You're so welcome! It's the video info I wished I could find when I was debating it and I'm so glad it was helpful for you. I definitely think the pill's the way to go. I'm very happy with my decision to go on it and would highly recommend it. Thank you! So happy I made the decision to get my brows micro bladed, too. Love having brows, again, and I feel like it takes years off your face. I do fill them in a little when I have a full face of makeup because the color looks a bit cool and ashy when my makeup is done, but it's the perfect base and super fast and easy to do them, now. No fear of swimming, rubbing, or before my makeup's done! Find a good artist and you won't regret it! :)
