King Cake
It’s not Mardi Gras without King Cake. This Louisiana favorite is moist and buttery with tangy cream cheese glaze. Purple, green and gold sprinkles give it that Mardi Gras magic. Leave off the sprinkles and serve as a delicious coffee cake or roll out whole and slice into perfect gigantic cinnamon rolls. The ingredients are listed below. Watch the video for instructions! Please feel free to leave comments or questions.
INGREDIENTS DOUGH:
4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 Cup warm milk (at one point in the video I say 1 cup of warm water but it’s definitely milk )
2 Tablespoons yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 sticks butter, melted
5 egg yolks
1 teaspoon lemon or orange zest
INGREDIENTS FILLING:

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Fresh Pasta is easier than you think. No special equipment needed. Here's a video that shows you that this CAN be a weeknight meal. #freshpasta #homemadepasta
Broccoli Cheddar Bacon Soup
มุมมอง 3554 ปีที่แล้ว
A Smokier twist on the ole classic Broccoli cheddar. Bacon and Ham stock give this the perfect amount of smoke. Dress it up with different kinds of cheeses or even add diced ham.
Masa Cornbread.
มุมมอง 11K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A fun twist on cornbread using MASA instead of cornmeal. It's like a tamale and cornbread had a baby. Feel free to jazz it up with corn, jalapeños, cheese or scoop it right on your favorite chili and bake it for a tex-mex chili pie.
Sausage and Potato Soup

The soup that eats like a meal. Quick cooking soup that is great for a big Sunday gathering or a week night supper.
Did I mention that I just subbed? Yep!
Here it is 4 years later, and I just subbed, cause I am making chile too- but crud- no cornmeal, but I got a bag of Maseca! Thanks for saving me the drive an hour to town
Thank God, your video existed. I needed to make cornbread and I found that I still had this. Yesssss ! You made it simple and direct.
I'm going to have to try some of this I think I have everything except for butter.
Hello, I just made this. It came out perfectly to your recipe. Thank you. Please make more Recipes ❤
Glad you liked it. I agree. I do need to make more !

I wonder where I'd get if I gave it yeast. Probably not very far, eh? Shall I come back if I get anywhere?
We can’t see what she’s doing.
Yep. Gotta have it!
you had me until you added the slice cheese 😮😢
Hi I'm interested in making a vegan version of this because I have a bag of masa, nondairy butter and egg substitute on hand. I'm wondering if it will turn out!
That’s great I should would like to see another.
Excellent recipe I subbed 1cup masa to 1 cup flour for a bit more fluffiness. But I’m so happy you made this video
Do you have any live sessions?

🥰😍
Yum .
Gurl! It just came out of the oven. I have Great Northern beans with sweet meat and rice. Just the look/smell of it, I am so grateful. Thank you
What a gorgeous woman xo
Why aren’t you making more videos? I want your flour tortilla recipe. Corn tortilla recipe.
The store didn't have cornmeal so I substitute for mass. When I mixed it the batter was clumpy and I thought I messed up until I found your channel. Thank you
Would liked your video better with less of you and more of the cornbread
I am from the south and I understood perfectly. You know there is a pause you could use.
Yum!
Thank you! I have the same ingredients as you so I will start my favorite cornbread now! I am so glad I found your video! Gracias ala Buena cocinera! Que Dios te bendiga!🍯🧈🍳🥚🥮🍞🥖🌽🧅🧄🧀
Great!! Enjoy!
You can add a little vinegar to whole milk or half and half in place of buttermilk.
Talking too fast. Sorry
Yes, it’s a hard balance to find. Thank you for the feedback.
Like your style.
Thank you! Thinking of starting to make more videos. I have been so busy with a new business teaching kids and adults to cook, doing private events and running summer cooking camps.
How well will this work for making Thanksgiving dressing?
It works fine, I made it that way last year.
Would have been nice if your camera was actually focused on the bowl contents. That way the viewers could see the consistency of the batter. My batter is thick and pasty like. I hope that is how it is suppose to look? Fixing to put in my iron skillet and pop it in the oven🤞
Hi! Yes it is a thick consistency! Thanks for the tip though. Let me know how it turns out!
@@chefclarereding3383 It turned out great. I t was very moist and tasty. Thank you for the reply back.
My kids absolutely loved the cornbread
I think you’re the best chef in the world
I have to thank you for your recipe. The only change I made was I used all purpose gluten free flour and used white sugar. Everything else exact as you said. Came out perfect! Thank you!!’
Glad you liked it! I don’t work with gluten free too much but have been wanting to. I’m glad to know it worked!
Would ingredients for egg noodles be different? Like to see you do the Alfredo Sauce too. Thanks for sharing your video with us.
You can use another egg and less water. I’ll add the Alfredo Sauce to the list of things to post! Thanks for watching.
you must be from the south
That I am! Louisiana to be exact but now in North Carolina
Hey girl I found you because I was wondering if I could use Masa... and "WALA"... there it was ... so I decided to folow
You know it! From Louisiana. Thanks for following! More to come. Feel free to share. Did you make the cornbread ?
