Moto Num Num
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 28 ม.ค. 2022
I bought my Himalayan to commute to work. Every day at 10 o'clock I'd grind coffee beans and make a pour-over coffee in the office. I'm now retired so have combined the two in an escape to nature almost every week. I don't go far, but I do get away. Come with me!
Cleaning up a neglected Moto Guzzi Nevada 750
I bought a second motorcycle!
2007 Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic 750 with less than 8,000 kilometres on the clock, that's only about 500 kilometres per year on average!
It had been pretty neglected and was suffering from rust and corrosion. In this video we'll give it a good clean. I use Australian products where I can and where they are good quality. In this video I use a lot of Bowden's Own products from Queensland. They are great! (not sponsored! my genuine opinion). Check them out here:
www.bowdensown.com.au
@BowdensOwn
I had to ride over 400 km to get the bike home from Sydney. About halfway it broke down and was stuck in Newcastle for a week - thanks to Brisan Motorcycles (@brisanmotorcycles2926 ) and Eurobrit Motorcycles (@Eurobritmotorbikes) for getting me back up and running again with a new fuel pump.
Also thanks to Thunderbikes in Western Australia for supplying the new old stock parts. Mario is a pleasure to deal with and specialises in Moto Guzzi - check them out at www.thunderbikes.com.au
I tried a few different cleaning techniques. Some worked better than others. The handlebars were quite pitted and needed the 0000 steel wool with lubricant and metal polish. Not perfect but better.
There's still more to do but at least I can ride it and not be ashamed haha!

Staintune silencer on a Himalayan
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Hi! Welcome back :-) It's been a while since I shot a video so this ride is just to test a new camera and some new gear I have fitted to the motorcycle - including a new silencer from Staintune. Have a listen to it as we ride. This video was very much an experiment and test ride. I did some talking to camera but it didn't work too well with the new camera and microphone - I didn't have the audi...
Still on weather hold
มุมมอง 2172 ปีที่แล้ว
I made this little video back in May but didn't release it. Turns out the weather is still about the same now. Many of the forest trails I like to take you on are closed or at least very muddy. I also haven't been able to take advantage of the breaks in the weather due to my other responsibilities. I might have to try some road rides soon! Thanks for hanging in there! 😎 #motonumnum

Today we'll head up into the Bago Bluff National Park on what should be an easy ride along good gravel roads and forest trails. The Bago Bluff is a rocky feature rising to over 1,400 feet and visually dominates the Hastings River Valley around the village of Wauchope. It was too windy to fly the drone so you'll have to look it up to see what it looks like from a distance. I would like to pay my...

We take a short afternoon ride on the Royal Enfield Himalayan to see what 'golden hour' is all about. Using a break in the weather to get out on the RE Himalayan and head up to the mountains for a nice coffee and lunch to relax and reset in nature. This works and i still wonder why when I brought my bike to the mechanics, they only propose to clean the disc n brake pads. Thanks alot!
The music is awesome. Great video. I own a 2022 in Rock Red. Added leather and canvas panniers and will be taking it to visit the states surrounding my home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA.
Bravo!
Great video sir! Thnks
Mines got over 25000 miles and the only problem was started that just went down. Not as quick as my SV 650 but really close. And quite quick in the curves compared to my other cruisers. The motor being designed using airplane engineering is overbuilt and tank tough.replaced the brake shoes as stopping power is amazing and great gas mileage. Love it and it's a keeper.
This is good to hear as I just bought one today. 17k miles, but seems well cared for.
I like the exhaust and the music too - what is it?
Used to live in port during the sixties and seventies. Moved to Sydney but still holiday there in the eighties and nineties. Moved to the gold coast have only been there once since then
I'm 53 and I've never ridden a motorcycle, but after seeing your videos I really want to start riding. These are the kinds of rides I'd like to do, and on a Himalayan.
Just do It...Yeaaa!!
La moto no encendera si esta en 1er cambio y con la pata puesta..
Was born in Port, spent most my life travelling around NSW as far our as Cobar. Love watching these videos.
Thanks mate!
Looking at this confirms to me how hard it is to ride the Himalayan off road in wet conditions. The Himalayan is not a light bike, having the right tyres would help, even so I,m inclined to stay on tarmac...
Good observations, yes, it’s a good ‘all-rounder’ but not so much off road. It can be done I’m sure with better tyres (and better rider 😁)
@@motonumnum I agree ,off road "forget it" but rough tarmac roads and hanging off in corners its OK
ops wrong reply ,I,m talking of my Tourances..excuse me
Bike cleaning is incredibly therapeutic. Even more so when watching someone else do it 😊
😁
Yea, a real speechless Num Num......
Complimenti 💪💪💪 dall'Italia
Thanks mate! 😁
❤👌
👍
nice Num, there's no birds in Australia? when you're in the pique-nique area there's no any noise
Definitely birds around, maybe the microphone doesn’t pick them up?
@@motonumnum ok thanks, forward with the channel
@@motonumnum maybe, thanks
I have just found your channel and subbed , I bought a Himalayan and its great , love your videos , might see you around sometime
Excellent Kevin, welcome to the team 😁
Have you been watching Some Guy Rides.
wonderful video. peaceful serene
wonderful video. peaceful serene
Felicitaciones hermosa esa máquina !!
Congratulations and enjoy! 🎉
Thanks mate! 😊
At around 16.25, you can hear the sound follow the bike from left to right, how did you do that.
Hi Michael, new stereo lavalier microphone ECM-LV1. Only used it twice but it seems to work well. Although I’ve got both ends covered in a dead cat so now it’s not easy seeing L and R, the stereo positioning might be a bit random 😁
Actually I just realised you were commenting on an older video where I just used the Røde lav, so I have no idea 😆
Looks great, and came with luggage, what a bonus. Enjoy 👍🏻
Actually two sets of panniers, hard and soft, plus a huge expandable tail bag, plus a large tank bag. Very happy with the purchase! It was definitely worth doing the clean up and repairs 👍
Hi mates, really enjoying the new bike. I bought it to increase my riding opportunities. The tracks around here are still too wet for my comfort. I’ll probably take turns with each as conditions allow. Hope you’re all well. Let me know if you have any questions about the Guzzi 😊 cheers!
When the blue rubber gloves came out... I knew things were getting serious. It's not about the bike... it's all about the cleaning products. Mind you, nothing like a sweet Italian bike to get the juices flowing. It really is in great nick for 16 years old and a few of those left unloved. Your camera work is very good, so good in fact I'm going to let you film my next mega hit vlogg. Of course there's no money involved; but think of the exposure!
Haha ‘glove snap’ time for your annual check up Mr Faffing😁 Happy to do a co-lab project 😊
@@motonumnum You know how to show an old fatman a good time!. Maybe I should pedal up your way and hang my hammock for a catchup? What's it been? 43 years or so? You were home for the weekend in a 5.0 litre Torana if I recall correctly.
My favourite cruiser-style bike!
It’s great for me too. I like the style and sound and it’s light and not overly powerful- just enough for easy cruising and highway speeds 👍
Congratulations on that wonderful motorcycle. Your videos always have excellent flow and videography. You were able to make a bike cleaning video interesting & worth watching without any bikini action. Great work! Always love your vids. Wahoo! PS hope you don't mind if I share.
Thanks Keith! Yes, thought I’d put people off if I wore the bikini 😄
@@motonumnum Lol...Love that beautiful motorcycle!
Although, bikinis are nice
😁
nice little cruise mate she gets along just great too ride safe cheers
Thanks Tazy, you too mate 👍
please take this as a positive/ helpful comment, for all of us to remember the simple rules. I also fail at this, so I am not trying to judge, just trying to help people remember the basics. Did you notice coming off the junction at time 1:49, you exited in the right hand lane (of 2 lanes) but moved to the left lane, apparently without looking. That`s a very dangerous move. Changing lanes on multi lane roads is a major point where accidents happen, changing lanes at a junction on a multi lane roads, multiplies the risk factors
I hate to put negative things in comments, you do a great job. The only negative thing I`d say (and I really appreciate our video) is that if there was some commentary on what you are going thought, or thinking about at the time while you are riding, it would make a huge difference to the viewer end of your experience.
Turn the closed captioning on. Tons of documentation.
Hi from Brazil!!!! 🇧🇷
G’day from Australia 😁
I missed your videos. Don't stop doing this mate
Thanks mate, haven’t stopped, just a few things getting in the way, back soon 👍
awesome ride 🎉
Cheers mate! Whoever you are 😁
Awesome video!!
A bit too much serenity!! 😂
Fine bit of cookery there, if you ever make it to the states youd be a great travel companion.! Best to you friend. Joseph
It’s not impossible, my partner is from Iowa, I’ll definitely come over for a visit with her one day soon 👍
Hi enjoyed your video the issue with the side panel, I had the same problem with my 2020 himalayan I closed the gap up with a hot air heat gun and gently manipulated side panel I done this with panel in place on the bike hope this helps
Yes I thought some heat might do it, cheers!
G,day mate, hope to see you out there one day.more of the same please!
Thanks Paul, I’m working on it. I only have a couple of days each week for riding at the moment and then they have to line up with the weather fairies
Respect
Back atcha! ✌️👍
Exhaust sounds great mate!
Yes, really glad I did the upgrade. Saved a couple of kilos too 👍
I just found out, if you use AZ screen recorder, you can make moving tracks without seeing the pen.
Ah-ha! Thanks Michael 😊 I’d wondered how that was done. I saw a way of kind of doing it in post but was too lazy 😄 I’ll be experimenting with some new formats over the next few videos, mainly to save time which I don’t have a lot of at the moment
That was great i have the same bike and love exploring places couldnt do that on my harley so i sold it and never looked back thankyou for some good ideas.. great moves at the end lol....
Thanks Alex, glad you got something out of it 😊👍
Que hermosa la Himalayan con los nuevos accesorios 👍
Muchas gracias Gonzalo ✌️
