Yeah, I’ve had a mix of being busy irl and being discouraged in general/wanting to try other ideas and see if something sticks. Need to finish a video on the other channel and then I’ve had a league of legends series Im really excited to try (sorry if you don’t like league lol I wouldn’t blame you) I appreciate your comment so much! You can do it quicker if you just jump Ragdoll and then use the shield as once you ragdoll you become a hitable with the shield YUH! 😎👊

It’s still possible, in fact, it’s ONLY possible on the latest main patch. So unless tou downpatched you ahould still be able to do it

​@@cyro55 Its still possibile even on new patches. But it takes me around 1h to do it but i didnt unlock any achievment sadge

⁠@@hellfun4220 I’m pretty sure it has not changes in difficulty so the 1hr might be a skill issue, also I’m pretty sure it never gave an achievement because the game considers you to be in a memory

You can't :( I do think you can get golden dice if you blow up Gale in act 3 but im not 100% certain so look it up if you want to go for it!

Really?? This run was from the previous patch. SURELY THEY WOULDNT CHANGE THAT

the shadowboxing glitch (otherwise known as node flinging) has not been patched, however in patch 6 some things were changed: the nautoloid skip is a bit harder to do as it no longer has a light source visible to help identify the location to jump to, the infinite status duration glitch has been patched out, the gith intermission skip no longer works as the portal disapears after the conversation ends. the speedrunners generally downpatch to patch 5 as that is the patch the currennt WR was completed.

I haven't tested myself, but I think you can get the achievement if you blow yourself up in the third act but not in the second act. Never done it tho

I tested it on tactician a while ago and you don't get achievements for finishing the game if Gale blows himself up in act 2. You gotta complete act 3 as well to get the achievements.

The game still has been beaten. That would be like saying that Mario Speedruns aren't legit because they used warp and didn't complete every level. That's what different categories are for

@@sephikong8323 So why don't you just kill Gale right after you get him out of the portal and rest for two days? The effect is the same, and the speedrun would last less than a minute.

@@VesperCadha Because in this particular cutscene he sacrifices himself and takes out all of the chosen and the brain, thus ensuring that all of the main objective are secured, which wouldn't happen if he died at any random point You know that you get awarded the achievement for completing the game if you let Gale blow up at this moment right ?

i'd bet money that not a "anyONE" figured it out ^^ The Speedrunning community is quite well connected, sharing knowledge and tipps & exploits. One Person figured out that casting ENHANCE LEAP is much faster then walking, so that became standard method. One Person built on top of that and figured out a way to skip 90% of the tutorial area by jumping through the wall. Another one noticed that Boxes/Barrels/etc. teleport to a further away place if you open/move them at the same time while having tried to move something, The next person tries to teleport the Box to the next act/cutscene, it worked, but it didn't trigger the cutscene to happen... then someone figured out a player character had to be inside, but that alone didn't do the trick... and then someone figured out the box had to be destroyed and managed to do it with fire etc. etc. , once a new trick was learned it was shared, and people started using it, if it improved time. The Evolution of the perfect run improved by each new trick that was incorporated. step by step, humanity advanced on the knowledge other humans figured out before them. For Science that brings us to the moon, and even for "how to beat a game as fast as possible" 😂

Yeah, some of the stories of figuring things is crazy. Usually it seems like some ridiculous bug is encountered while trying out random stuff or playing normally and then they post a video or story about it to the speedrun discord and then everyone will have a discussion like "would this work here?" or "can this be used slightly differently to skip this part?" and then different people test out different things

Same. I don’t think there’s a way to cheese through act 3 without combat though because you at least have to fight Orin to make the deal with Gortash.

I plan to do the BEST speedrun for bg3 next and after that do the full honor mode no glitches
