Terrible click bait video. You barely researched anything you said and freeze said he was at fault 30 second into the press conference too. He’s not the one that got them in a -12 turnover ratio on the year somebody has to be responsible for fumbling/ throwing picks etc… you’re taking what Wallace says as the law but if you did any research you’d see how highly Wallace talked about freeze last year. Seems like Wallace is a salty bitch he didn’t get a staff position at AU and he’s acting like a little girl. And you take his side because you think it supports your invalid argument. Also if you think this is the worst “turmoil” a program has ever been in please go see the Shula days before you were an Alabama fan and you will see turmoil. Please stop making content. Also he’s bringing in two top 10 classes his first 2 years that’s way better than the last guy, results aren’t on the field yet but you can’t have a full turn around when you take a program over in the state he did.

It's a clear attempt to deflect blame, as in: "I did my job, but the players screwed up." That may very well be true. Coaches can't control what happens on the field. BUT...the etiquette of coaching dictates that you take the high road. And there's a practical aspect of it too. How do you think his QB and RBs feel now? Tennessee throttled Hawkins just as hard as they did Arnold up until the last 8 minutes when they put in a few backups and began playing soft zone prevent. OU had negative net offense from the time Hawkins came in to the 8 minute mark of the 4th quarter, not to mention that one of his TD drives should have ended in a scoop and score that was negated by a BS roughing the passer call. The idea that he is going to be some kind of savior to OU’s season is nonsense. They will be lucky to win 7 games.

I was just curious about something that you had said. You said that "the OU defense made Nico turn the ball over twice" But on the other side of the coin, you said about the OU offense "you give the ball right back, both times on the first play with a fumble or an interception" I would think that the Vols defense earned a couple of those turnovers (the fumble and interception) he kinda stepped on his junk with the lateral/backwards pass.

    • @BamaFootballTalk

A turnover is a turnover. Of course they are earned in any circumstance. The point was you got 2 turnovers in plus territory & scored 0 points off it. Vol fan here. We have to understand something. What Hawkins saw vs what Arnold saw defensively from TN were two very different units. Arnold saw the 1st string, Hawkins saw mostly backups. He went 3 3-and-outs and we pulled most of our 1st and 2nd string with the exception of a couple of linemen. I would hold off jsut a couple of games to see what both QB's look like against AU. Neither QB had a lot of help. The last scoring drive for Hawkins was helped by a question roughing the passer and this was a couple of big plays, rather than methodically moving the ball down the field. Hawkins could be the man but the offense to OU is just too important to get this wrong. The staff hasn't been the smartest for the offense, letting Gabriel leave. Just a thought. Tennessee holding an OU offense guided by Jackson arnold was no great feat. Tennessee defense v true freshman Hawkins was the test. Tennessee’s number one offense vs OU defense was the matchup. OU stopped the run (150 yards) and forced JH to go conservative to save the game, his QB and line. It was a smart decision because he could rightfully assume Jackson Arnold was no threat. Hawkins was the game’s wild card. At no time, however, did JH “let up” or “go easy” on OU. He did what he had to do with his offense because of the OU defense. SEC defensive coordinators will watch the film and see exactly what happened.

150 isn't stopping the run, it''s slowing it at best and TN ran well enough to move the ball even when going totally conservative in the second half offensively and sending in the backsup on D for the second half. Anytime you can hold any offense of team and program like OU at home is a great feat. Bet ya money UGA won't have the same dominance defensivly against OU. JH absolutely let up offensively and went conservative. Can you not tell the difference in their schemes?? Also 4th and 1 from the OU and he chooses FG instead of just getting the one yard and the score? LOL Due, what planet are you from. Heupel goes for this 100% of the time, especially against an offense that is zero threat to score on him. IF this wasn't OU and his respect for his former fans, he could have gone for the throat. But no need to. kick the FG, your defense ended this game in the second quarter, just run the ball from here on out and that's what he did. NO tempo, that's your first clue, TN was done showing anymore playbook . JH went conservative, not so save the game, was never indoubt but to prevent inuries on a wet field that was slick that had zero business being like that. All the slipping and sliding was indicative of a little gamesmanship by OU. Noticed they had on their weather cleats which are longer than what TN was using. And why risk doing anything more dynamic than you need to. Why risk that also when you have two starting O'line men out? Campball did the best he could, Dane Davis as well filling in. No garbage time TD's were going to do anything in this game.

OU did a great job against Tennessee's offense, but we knew it came down to the front 7 of Tennessee against the OU O-Line. That was going to determine the pace of the game. OU doesn't have 1 problem on offense, it has multiple including a bad O-Line, questionable starting QB, bad play calling, injuries at WR & that is just the obvious we know about. I don't think anyone is doubting OU's defense, I didn't see anyone that did. It was about that offense. Thanks for commenting & Roll Tide

Heupel did let up. It would have been a silly risk to keep throwing when the game was in hand. OU got totally dominated and allowing 150 rushing isnt stopping the run. Welcome to the SEC.👍🏻

Wow, the coping is real. Go back and watch again. Tennessee throttled Hawkins just as hard as they did Arnold up until the last seven minutes when they put in backup linebackers and went to soft zone prevent. Not to mention that one of his TD drives should have ended in a scoop and score for Tennessee that was negated by a BS roughing the passer call. OU had negative net offense from the first possession Hawkins was in the game to the 8 minute mark.

How do you figure they dominated Oklahoma? They had to change their offense, we sacked, forced fumbles. They should of been in the 40 point range. 5 punts in the 1st half. Hawkins would of started tn would of been beat. Even with a high school OL. People had to get on him years ago for his hatred of Oklahoma. Outlaw of college football kicked off his show over his hatred. Yes, we are upset, we all saw power 5 is to big for JA, It's not for Hawkins. Let's face facts, SEC gave us the toughest schedule in college football, knowing we wasn't going to have a OL. We're not crying, we will play all the ranked teams in every conference. This is Oklahoma, we take on all callers non conference, conference. We like to fight here. Can't be the man until you beat the man down. BOOMER SOONER

You weren't a serious enough threat on offense for us to even go dynamic or keeping putting the ball up and on a wet trashy field. No need to when your no threat offensively to win the game. Second half, we jsut lined up and ran, and ran the clock, take the FG's, ran zero tempo. It' a humilaiting way to lose a game but why risk anything in your QB's first road true road test. Plus, we had two backup O'line guys in at tackles. Why risk them twising an angle or injury doing something more dyanmic you don't need to do in order to just win the game. I mean we didn't even go for it on 4th and 1 from the OU 18! lol. Easily could have cause if we don't make it, that crappy offense is starting at the 18 lol. So we pulled our starters on boht sides of the ball in the second half early on. Sure, we could have risked it and scored 40. If we scored from the 18 that's nearly 30 right there. OU's D is good, not better than TN's but I'd say top 4 SEC. Also, Hawkins again saw our 4th and few walks and playing soft coverage by TN's D. He didn't see anything like TN's 1st string. lol The one play we rushed more than 4, Hawkins was buried. So, give it a few games, see if Arnold improves. Play them both.

Bro, dream on. Hawkins was playing against TN's soft coverage 4th string lol. And he needed a BS roughing the passer call to keep his drive going. He also went had 3 3 and outs against the backups. lol. Stop it.. If we had kept our starters in on defense Hawkins wouldn't have gotten ten yards lol. So in other words, you were so much, not a threat offensively that we opted to go conservatize, just run the ball, punt, FG, no score, score, no matter, cause OU was no threat offensively after we wer eup 3 or 4 scores. Why risk injury on crappy slick fields? No reason. Finally? We've only ever played what, 3 games and it's been a decade lol
