Join me as I explore Ireland & the UK in a camper van with my dog Sky. I will be sharing walks, park-ups, scenic views & any places of interest I find. I hope this encourages you to make the most of your own travels or even follow in my footsteps.
A bit about me:
I am not new to the nomad lifestyle. In the late 90’s I fulfilled a childhood dream, gave up work & travelled in an horse-drawn gypsy bow top for 3 years before reverting back to lorry driving - another childhood dream! I think it is fair to say I was born with itchy feet 👣

I head further down the north coast and visit Carrick a Rede, Giants Causeway, Mussenden Temple, Downhill Demense, and Benone Strand a 10 mile stretch of beach which people drive of with cars, campers and motorhomes.

ECOS Nature Park is outside of Ballymena town centre with about 5 miles of paths around the 220 acres of reserve and it include woodland, lakes, ponds, and meadows. The Ards Peninsula. This week I see seals, a large pod of dolphins and finally a red squirrel. Next week, with my back finally feeling better, I head to the North Coast and the Wild Atlantic Way. NOTE: The life boat and harbour are Donaghadee and not Portavogie as the title bit says!

This week sees me sleep in a dodgy lay-by, run fridge diagnostics, hunt for LPG, walk up a mountain, watch seals at Cloghy and visit yet more Castles. An over night in a beautiful, remote spot by Polmaddy Burn with a snowy walk along the Pack Road and around the remains of the fern-toun (farming village) of Polmaddy. The weirdest graveyard I have ever been in. Most of the stones were twice my height or more and they were crammed in so that you had to walk and climb over graves to read the inscriptions on many of the stones.
