This chilly autumn day I am conducting an acceleration test to evaluate the potential of the EcuTek features Launch control and Flat-foot shifting. Considering the circumstances the result is surprisingly good.

2025 automatic transmission GR is way better and faster
and way less fun than a manual one
@MoraMa. you saying less fun is like saying it's more fun having manual crank windows than power windows. Manual transmissions were for poor people, and no Lamborghini, Ferrari or GTR owner says your comment.
@@arctictruck10 dude what's your point? Those are 2 different things, people like Manual because they can control the car more while driving, automatic is for pussys, lambos and Ferraris comes with automatic because it's easier to control the car at high speeds, Especially on the track, mostly what the car is made for
@@arctictruck10 don't compare manual crank windows to a manual transmission, one is for practicality and the other one is for entertainment
@MoraMa. No, it's like having a machine that digs holes for you rather than taking a shovel and digging it yourself.Which one is more fun
Good to see this driven properly. Very keen to do this for mine
Rocket Car the FL5...
Can you still rev the engine when you press the clutch?
Yes, launch control is only activated when you floor the accelerator. Also, you can chose a different mode in the software and then launch control is not active. I will go into this in detail when I release my review of the EcuTek software later this month.
Or do you mean when flat-foot shifting?
@@Revisorsracer Flat-Foot shifting
@@TheRealPulsGamer no when you press the clutch the software locks the revs and the engine start ”popping”. As soon as you release the clutch it revs again with maintained turbo boost pressure. I will show this in detail when I release my review soon!
Stay tuned for my review/tutorial of the EcuTek software coming out soon. I will go through the features in detail as well on how to use them.
brilliant!
Nice send! Always cool to see the little Yaris getting some proper fun. I am also looking to get some OEM GR parts. How can you get those in Europe?
Hi! Do you mean GRMN parts? These are probably only sold in Japan. But you can certainly buy from a vendor in Japan and import them yourself. This is what we are doing in order to build the European GRMN.
@@vitor87utad you can go to easycars.jp. They have plenty of gr yaris parts including the GRMN-parts. We just got delivery of all the parts ordered so they can definately deliver the parts into Europe.
The little Yaris wasn’t designed to be a track weapon like the Porsche but does a pretty respectable job nonetheless. Wonder how the Porsche would fare if the roles were reversed and two were travelling over a narrow, bumpy and wet B road?
Maybe it's crazy, but at 65 years old I'm thinking of changing my 2007 civic 1.8 for this FL5 for daily use and quiet driving!😊😊✨✨✨✨🇪🇸😊
Yes you should! It is a great daily driver as well as a potent track car. And if you want to have some fun just press the pedal down a little bit and this glorious engine will give you all the power you need. It is also really practical with ample space for passengers and cargo.
My dream car 😍
It's a fucking Toyota :D
And they’re unbelievable!
What exhaust is under the car? Miltek?
Hi! Its the full Akrapovic exhaust including the link pipe. It sounds so nice without any unnecessary drone when driving comfortably.
I will upload my most recent video momentarily where I go over what’s on the car. Stay tuned!
Snyggt kört. Texten störde. Vad e bästa tiden du fått på Gälleråsen😊
Hej!
That porsche wasn't waiting for you
No, bad sport Porsche, bad sport…
alcaterra wheel?
Yes, and it is really nice.
good save back there 😂👍
Thanks! I was a little bit surprised when the slide happened. I wasn't pushing that hard. But it is a more demanding car to drive which in a sense makes it more fun.
Thanks for the tip! Trying to get better so much appreciated.
LFGooo 😬 Small tip (if I may): try to keep your hands always at the same position at the steering wheel. Will calm everything a lot down and gives you a better overall feeling. Just caught my eye, sorry 😅
Which one would I rather own?..hmmmm
GR all day
@@JJay_johnson are you mad
The GR Yaris offers tremendous performance for the price. Maximum bang for the buck. You can clearly see that the GT3 is more potent and it pulls away hard on the straighs. But for the price, I chose the GR Yaris anyday of the week. Cant wait to try the Gen 2 when it arrives.
@@timacorn2536 not a mad statement if you’re on the hook for maintenance, fuel, tyres, insurance and daily driving. I daily an M2 CS, and it’s awesome, but if I ever had to downsize cost-wise, a GR Yaris is an appealing option. I burn through $4k in tyres alone a year.
Someone who is actually interested in cars would never say something that dumb.. they are completely different vehicles and different types of fun. Only a "boy" racer would say "which one would you choose?" 🤪
