So it would be around 100 hp on the crankshaft 👍 Well done thats double the original !
@@janamo70 yes sir
Nice
Cool tractor ! That cab was pretty cool !
@@fuzz1500 cab is for sale
Looks like Jem as is! That’s loader and cab make it a decent tractor
That would be sweet in my collection as is.
@@jeremycherny2041 looks great in my collection 😆
You guys must be really bored. 😂
Never been a fan of the curved exhaust stack. They look ugly & out of place on the John Deere two-cylinder tractors. A simple coffee can over the straight stack exhaust, when you shut it down, is all that's needed.
Injection pump is turned up too much. Very hard on tractor engine, and you're also wasting fuel like mad.
So basically, you bought a good useful, nicely equipped ole farm tractor, and you're going to quickly make it much more useless by removing it's many extras. Check. Looks like you boys have money to burn and just have these tractors for play toys anyhow, and didn't actually buy to use as a tractor. I could be wrong, but that's certainly the impression you're giving here.
@@turbodiesel4709 it’s is a toy only for my collection. I have other tractors for work. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Here's a few things I wanna say or ask about this new machine. For starters I think that you should of kept the loader and cab so if ya want to hook it up to the pulling sled you could have way more weight to it. And will you pull with this one?? Happy holidays aswell
Seems like the more the rpm's drop the better it pulls. And no smoke! Absolutely amazing!!
Great sound ! 👍
Some like to hear it in cold weather.
I wonder how many starters he’s gone through
@@marknagle-vi7og second one in 12 years
How long does it take to start on the electric start when it's really cold?
@@robinprice4877 too much compression electric start won’t turn over at that temperature
@@jakepeters5814 : Something wrong with your tractor then. Any good 24 volt starting system will whip that engine right over, no matter the temperature, and it'll start.
@@turbodiesel4709 bro it gets cold here. We in the north
Мне очень жалко 🚜трактор! Стартер сгорит скоро! Можно просто поставить подогреватель электроэнергии и будет супе
No pony motor im guessing? And why start it at those temperatures?
@@keltonwright7 electric start. No reason to start just having fun
@jakepeters5814 cool, I know the pony on my 820 won't start it much below 0°c, maybe if I took the 15w-40 out and put something thinner in, but hard on them starting in that temp so unless i need too i don't bother starting them.
@@keltonwright7 my 830 has 15 40 in both engines. It’ll start at -25.
@jakepeters5814 it should , that's whats it's designed for, my ponys wore out, so it really struggles, needs an overhall.
Fordson never had pre heat .only fuel button on injection pump . .bottle of start you bastard be better .ha
that starter is hotter than the combustion chaimbers after that
The starter motor puked!
Velmi ubohý start...
wonder why
well isnn,t that just great on the starter
Awesome love the sound of them old two cylinders
Pre-heat that poor engine! Diesels need some loving care before you jack up the RPM from a cold start.
Pre-heat that poor engine! Diesels need some loving care before you jack up the
Why not buy a heater kit for it????
Give it squirt of starter fluid and she’ll fire right off
Worst thing you can do to an engine
Not really
Oh baby come on beautiful start. Love that cranking and that struggle. Love all that sputtering and all the smoke. I would love to sit on it and try to get it started.
Tungsten starter...
Lower compression than original?
You could fry an egg on that starter 😂 love the sound though.
agree
Amazing start, loved the video Tractors are Awesome! Love from Australia 🇦🇺
im not a jdfan but those 730 were mighty good only draw back that crank was weak very fuel efficent i have worked ona lot of trac i think 730 was the besgt of ol poppers what was his weight

We have a 1976 4630 that my dad bought in 1980 that was pulling 198 on the dyno. I asked the original owner if he had turned up the pump and he said that it came that way from new. We pulled 39 feet of deep tillage cultivator at a depth of 6 inches and it acted like there was nothing hooked behind it. I have about 11000 hours on it now and it only gets used on the sprayer, harrow packer, rock picker and grain auger. And pushes snow onbthe winter, just light duty jobs. Original bottom end, sleeves and pistons, doesn't burn oil. Replaced the head about 6 years ago, it had micro cracks around each injector hole.
Just crazy what 470 cu in will do with just two cylinders.
That is a beautiful thing to see... RAW POWER !
DANG!!!! That's lugging!! Beautiful old piece of nostalgic history! Thanks for sharing.
The highest torque level is about 666 RPM where the true lugging happens.
I can only imagine the wear and tear on the drivetrain of that 730 with it being weighted down, front and back like that. Way more than what that tractor was designed for.
You can’t put a price on smiles, and if you can, it’s a lot
Love the 2 lung Lugers !
He's backing off the throttle towards the end
Nice thing about them is it could pull like that all day and not over heat

@@anderleof poor loser
So which group of people do you kick down? Which bigot clan do you belong to? Because that’s all that Trump and Company do is kick down on others
The originals produced that kind of power new and the later serial numbers were at 150 hp which was what they were rated for. JD tightened up the tolerances. Dynoed lots of them when worked at a dealership
That’s very good power from an Engine of only 404 Cubic Inches. The 6030, at 531 CI, only matched this for power.
