Batteries are the Problem, they are no better now than they were in 1920. My saw won't even rip one two by four 8 ft long and is dead halfway through. What a rip off. I paid one dollars for a saw and batteries.

when do coupons usually come about ?

i would love to have labor hours rolled into my service data, as a mobile mechanic, its hard to train my guys to use 6 different apps to get parts, labor, and soon to be tech data

BE EXTREMELY CAEFFUL BUYING FROM HARBOR FREIGHT. I bought one of the $800 ZR Pro scanners, and had to exchange it. I followed Harbor Freights shipping instructions, including using their Fedex provided label. Someting happened during the shipping process through Fedex, and Harbor Freight said there was nothing they would do. So I'm out an $800 ZR Pro scan tool. BTW the one they shipped me said "STORE DEMO ONLY" which was the reason for the exchange... I will NEVER buy from Harbor Freight again (and have been a customer of theirs for decades).

Topdon Phoenix Plus or above and the Launch Pro3S+ or above are better and way less money. Both ICON scan tools should be half the price they are to be competitive.

These are both just Launch scan tools. There are better scan tools for the money out there.

I have autel,launch and a icon t8 one of my fellow techs has a snap on solus the t8 can go head to head with my smaller launch x431 and both are very similar the graphs on the t8 are a little better than the x431 but not as good as my larger x431 pro to me both launch and the icon blow away the autel I have but the autel does tpms and its used heavily for that in our shop.

I have and shoot a 6.5-284 and love it. One hole groups are the norm. Inherently accurate cartridge. My 26” barrel loves anything that’s going 2920 fps. Only get there with hand loads.

Seems like another scanner that has all kinds if intended options that may work someday... And then they never get it working and this thing gets stuffed into a corner of the garage and not used. Big disappointment. Tpms doesnt work, truefix doesnt work,, wiring schematic doesn't work, oscilloscope barely works.. im not buying one until it is refined. Until then, it's just a dream. Bi directional? I bet it's really limited. They should have worked these out before releasing it. I have a stack of scan tools that did the same thing to me.

Dose it include connector pinouts, connector locations? Are the diagrams all redrawn, in other words dose it show all connectors in circuits.

Pretty sweet system! Does icon have a unit that would be good for a guy that just needs one here and there for personal vehicles?

I would imagine there is a subscription service you would need to eventually renew just like any other scan tool.

A few questions. Will it do transmission relearns on Subaru's? What about eyesight calibrations on the subaru's? And lastly, will the T10 still work like normal even after the subscription expires and I dont renew the subscription?

I have to agree with others regarding the need for “Labor Times”. That would really make this a complete package. Did Harbor Freight say Labor Times is something coming in the future?

Does the ICON software have CAN BUS drawings? Have you tried troubleshooting CAN BUS?

I like the look so far, but I would also definitely have to have labor times to ditch alldata for this.

The reality is a scan tool is only a means of communicating with a vehicle. Codes and part numbers are not the same thing.

Can I buy this software without having an icon scan tool?

If HF keeps progressing at this rate, they are going to start putting tool trucks out of business (UNLESS they drastically change their profit margins). If they get the Labor Times working well and their scan tools can work with Launch or ThinkCar accessories OR HF offers those accessories under the Icon name, they will be a force to be reckoned with. They HAVE to at least be compatible with an oscilloscope, offer IMMO programming, and a TPMS tool. All of those tools are already on the market, so the hardware is done, it is just a matter of compatible software. With all of that said, the price is too high. That T10 is a $700 tool under other brands. Those brands don’t come with Truefix of course, so add $300 to that $700 and the T10 is a $1000 tool. Unless they offer a $600 off coupon, I’ll be sticking with my Kingbolen K10. It took a lot of research for me to find that the K10 was the best bang for the buck in that price range though. For the guys that don’t want to research the wide world of scan tools, for the best value, the T10 looks like an easy pick. It is much easier to decide between the Icon T8 vs. T10 than it is to figure out the differences between the ridiculously named Launch X431’s.

I checked my Harbor Freight today (08/20/24) and the T7, T8 & T10 are available. I’m going all in on their T10 just as soon as a coupon becomes available (if I can wait). I think I’ll take advantage of their 0% as well.
