How to Properly Bathe a Dog's Head
มุมมอง 5155 ปีที่แล้ว
Professional Groomer Katlin shows us how to quickly and safely bath your dog's face and head. I specifically use Tearless shampoo, and dilute it 1 to 1 (shampoo to water), as your dog's face is very sensitive. This also makes it much easier to apply as needed. If their ears are pointed make sure to fold them down, and be extra careful no water or product gets into their ear canal. Use your hand...
that dogs more wolf than husky😮😮
Wonderful tutorial! I have a husky, and this was so helpful. The comb is my go-to (also have a rake), but I definitely need to add the pin brush and spray to my grooming toolbox. Thank you so much for demonstrating in detail the process. You are AWESOME! 😃
Just did my husky. He was not happy at first
My Husky…do not touch my butt!
Does this need to be done weekly, or biweekly?
Best video I've seen for twin coat Huskies. I have a Siberian and she's only 2 years old and this heat is really making her drop her coat as fast as I can vacuum behind her. Thanks for sharing your techniques ❤️
violet from THE INCREDIBLES
Wow! That's a lot of hair.
How often do you have to do this? My kids are buying 2 girl huskies and I just found out that they shed, and they have a lot of hair. My wife hates dog hair in the house because they smell. We will need a lot of convincing for her to agree with having dogs in the house.
how do you keep from getting shocked when combing a husky? We are constantly shocking eachother and it sucks
The spray/keeping the fur damp will prevent shocking
Big thanks for big help!!!
just watched this...an i am shocked that i see NO comments about how crazy pretty this woman is!!😍😍
what a lovely dog. soft eyes. wonderfully helpful thank you
I tried to have a husky but the hair was just too much hair everywhere I would wind up eating it.
its not husky its wolfdog
yes a Tamaskan Wolfdog - I used to have one that looked just like Wylie - he had the gentlest and sweetest nature you could ever ask for and I miss him every single day
Great video. I've just acquired an older Malamute who's previous owner passed away. He's gone through quite an ordeal but he's settling in really well, in fact we're both settling in really well because although I've had dogs before, I'm a first time Malamute owner. Your advice on grooming is the best I've found so far and I've learnt a lot from you. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us.
10 puppies 🐶 speeded off. That's what I call it when I'm sweeping up the hair off of one of our pups.
Just saw your channel for the first time today. We were GIVEN a beautiful blue-eyed Husky pup last year, (the owner's house flooded and they couldn't take care of the litter), and in just two days from now he'll be one year old. I grew up with GSDs but never had a Husky, and had no idea of the differences. He has now caught a contingent of fleas, from his going into deep grass every time I walk him. We live in Thailand and he is suffering both from the heat and the fleas. I brush him every day, but I want to cut his coat down a bit. I searched this morning to find some help on how to groom him, as I plan on buying some electric clippers later today, and another brush. I have a cheap plastic regular hair brush that works pretty well on the guard-coat, and a small fine-toothed wire brush but it has short bristles and loads up immediately. Because he is so young, he is still pretty hyper, and I need to know what I'm doing as much as possible before I begin. Your work with the brushes and the sprays was helpful, and I sincerely thank you for sharing your skill and info. All the best to you. NEVER shave a double coated dog !!!
Best looking dog ever! I want him! 💚
So where do you use the under coat rake?
My husky has the exact same color and fur type as this wolf dog! Which I love how it looks but the shedding it’s crazy
We have 2 Huskies. Bruno is like this guy but Bear OMG he goes nuts and bites my hands 😬
This is amazing
Timmy
And the award for best name go to
what a good doggie <3
Can i ask what breed is he? Beautiful and calm 😍 I love your gentelness❤
How is he so hood 😥😥 my boy is 2 now & he's ughhhh all over the place barking just giving me hell I don’t think he was a good idea for a service dog 😩😩 && do you know why he sits funny as if he’s in pain it’s sad to watch him sit but when he’s out the cage he’s running around pain free
Tamaskans are awesome dogs but no definitely not a service dog, far too independent a nature and they'll never be happy being told what to do. They'll be your best friend ever though if you build the right bond with them
Well explained and thank you. Just picked up a stray 3yr old Siberian Husky from an animal shelter and I am determined to keep her coat in good condition. Thank you again.
What kind of spritzer are you using, is it unscented, and can you use just a misting bottle?
Found this video on playbarkrun, and this, along with the rest of the Article, helped tremendously. My dog is a rescue Catahoula that I've had for a couple years now, and NOTHING has worked. Slight sedation, Benadryl, anti-nxiety treats/calming drops. They key point that made the biggest difference was being patient, and staying patient for as long as it takes. Great help!
omg thank you soo much !! this changes everything! I don't know why everyone is sooo excited about the furminator because it does actually CUT into the fur, so most of what you see isn't even the loose undercoat but tons of healthy hair that is just being trimmed for like no reason whatsoever. But I guess it has that instat effect and people go like "wooow this works!" and get hooked on it. I actually got one myself but haven't used it just yet and even with this line brushing technique I still think I might use the furminator, but just in the shedding season proper when the whole coat is going to go anyways and just to speed up that process along the way a little bit, but between seasons I wouldn't want to cut into the upper coat especially because that has so many functions to it, but so does the undercoat too... so yeah..
Thank you 💛💛
That`s no Husky.
its a Tamaskan Wolfdog
Can`t get sound from your video
What coloring is that?
Why you look like Violet Parr from the Incredibles? Lol! Great tips btw Thanks.
that looks like a wolf to me
He's such a good boy!

What a good boy
You should make more videos!! I have a 2 year old husky and a 3 year old pug and you have by far taught me more than anyone else over these years. I greatly appreciate your videos ❤️
What a good boy. Great tips!
We just got a husky, how often do you recommend a thorough grooming session like this?
Once every 2-3 months.
Once a week.. If you’re less dedicated than that you could brush every time you bathe at the recommended 6 week mark. You’re going to have a lot of hair though.
@gingersnaps6231 you're not suppose to bathe huskies that frequently. Twice a year at most.
This was amazing! :O
He seems to generally like it. Which is good.
good tips, and you were very clean. I saw one messy video, couldn't watch.... It was horrible. but you did very clean job . Awesome !
