Pemberley Farm Homestead
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 5 เม.ย. 2017
Pemberley Farm is a 40 acre family farm/homestead in the Northwest Florida Panhandle. Our goal is to raise as much of the food our family eats as possible. That includes fruit, veggies, eggs, and all types of meat. Currently our animals are horses, goats, rabbits, chickens and one “guard goose”. In the spring we will add pigs and sometime soon we will add a cow or two. Also coming soon are turkeys and Kahki Campbell ducks and maybe more geese. We have fruit trees that have been in place for years but are always either adding something new or more of what we already have. As well as the standard annual vegetable garden we are moving toward more perennial beds of vegetables, herbs and of course fruit. When we have excess fruit, vegetables, eggs, or animals, we offer them for sale. In the near future , most of these will be available all the time.

Glad to see y’all love your comfrey
1/12/25,I just came across your page, and made my bread along with you, oh my was that dough so nice feeling it rose up so nice, i have it in the oven now, I'm sure the end results are not going to disappoint, thank you for sharing an amazing recipe
Absolutely beautiful thoughts. Thank you for sharing them.
I'm glad you made this video. After looking comfrey up on the Internet, I had mistakenly come to the conclusion that we probably couldn't grow comfrey here. Seeing your bountiful harvest, I'm inspired to give it a try.
Mine has done very well. The spring crop was better than the one you see in this video. The plants were much bigger. Give it a try. Thanks for watching.
another excellent video
Thanks for watching
So glad to see y'all back. Quick question. Can you do this with plain AP flour? Haven't done much with sourdough and just wondering if this would work with regular flour also.
Yes, absolutely. Thanks for watching
Thank you so much
Beautiful Family doing Beautiful Things!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching.
👌👋 Good Morning
Thanks for watching.
This is the best recipe, I made this 2 time second was even better bread sooo delicious. Blessing to you keep teaching 🙂
I’m so glad you liked it!
About how much blackberries did you start with and how much juice does it make
I can't tell you how many berries we had. We just filled up the top of the steamer juicer more than once and then let it go until they were fully juiced. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Thanks for watching.
Omg beat the frustration out of the bread, not a body 😂😂 love it
I think I added too much water. Was pretty sticky until I added more flour, more than the extra cup. Mine did not look like yours. What could I have done wrong.
Sometimes, the weather makes a difference in how much is needed. It's just something you have to experiment with a little to get a feel of what is right for your area and even the time of year and whether or not it's raining outside. Also, your flour can make a difference. Whether it is Whole grain or not or just the moisture content in the flour itself. Once you do it a few times, you will get the hang of it, and you will be able to feel when you have a good dough. Thanks for watching.
can I used bacon grease instead of oil !!! I have tons of bacon grease saved up !!!
I have never tried that but it would be an interesting experiment. If you do it and it works let us know.
I love this bread. Great
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching.
Loved your video because it wasn’t too long but it was full of great information!!
Thanks for watching.
Is it regular flour or self rising flour
All purpose
Thanks for the recipe. I agree 100% with that style of bread knife. I recently switched to a much better one and it's like night and day. It has a sturdy blade with wide-spaced crescent-shaped teeth and has a good weight to it. It slices like a dream. I never knew a good bread knife made so much difference - especially for softer breads. It's almost exactly the same as the one you have but the blade and handle are a little heavier. Are you familiar with home-milled flour? I was going to incorporate most of the water first - leave some of the water aside to create a yeast "sponge" and allow the home-milled flour and liquids to sit for an hour before I add the yeast sponge. Does this sound like a reasonable approach? My understanding is that home-milled flour takes a little longer to absorb water and a resting period is beneficial. In some cases up to 12 hours but I was hoping an hour would be enough to compensate for the use of fresh flour.
I have never done this. And there are times when I make bread with only freshly ground flour, and my loaves turned out fine. But you could experiment and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for watching .
I am infusing some right now in olive oil to make salve so I will be following you on the tinture Thanks for sharing!!
How Long @10lbs. ?
75 minutes pints 90 minutes quarts
I knew this lady was the real deal when I saw the flower patterned oven mitts hanging in the background. Thanks for sharing your recipe . I’m going to give it a try. New sub.
Thanks for watching. Let us know how it turns out.
I am an 18 year old woman, I have been on birth control since the age of 11 whenever I first went through puberty. I was called to remove my IUD at home, I couldn't make it to planned parenthood. The whole purpose of removing it was to heal and bring my body back to life. Usnea is the bread of life, the mana. I was told by my father, my chief to use our medicine, usnea, as your menstrual product. I was skeptic but you have to believe in things bigger than yourself. The absolute most healthy vaginal biome possible. More efficient than you will ever know. I was going through a season of depression and covered my body in gashes and burns but this usnea. In just a few days old mans beard, in my food, use it to scrub my body in the shower, eat it, drink it, and chew it into a paste for your wounds. Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will open
This is my first year growing these as they are my very favorites! I have no clue what I am doing over here in DFW. I have one plant to see what this is all about. Praying for at least a taste.
Loved your video ❤ perfect instructions thank you 😃 nz
You are most welcome.
This is such a good tutorial that I actually make this recipe all the time😊
I'm so glad!
How yall doing? Haven't seen anything new recently Hope everything is well.
We will begin filming again soon. We had a death in the family after a long-term of care thank you for checking on us
@@pemberleyfarmhomestead5258 So sorry to hear of your loss. I hope everyone is doing better. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
❤
I just tried your bread today & it is delicious!!! I’ll probably try the poor man’s cake tomorrow. Thank you for making these videos, they are so helpful!
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching.
Which cooking oil in the bread recipe do you usually use? Canola, olive, corn, etc.? Thanks!
I use light olive oil
What are the dimensions of the Norpro bread pans ???
Roughly 8 * 4
I think you need to be much more precise in your measurements especially when your teaching people who are making it for the first time! Thats VERY IMPORTANT!!
You forgot to tell people about labeling; what it is, date made, date ready! Very important.
Very instructional video. Thank you
I did it!!!!!! Came out delicious and soft - just right. Thanks
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching.
Can you tell me What flour brand you use. My bread has been too crumbly but I believe that could be that I’m not kneading it enough or correctly.
I usually use Sam's bread flour. You may be using too much flour. If the recipe calls for 5 cups only add four to begin with and then add in the rest a little bit at the time you might not need five full cups
Perfect instructions. Sense of humor is enjoyable too. Now I can quit watching other bread making videos. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Is it ok to use milk instead of water?
Yes
Are the potatoes and carrots precooked?
ANOTHER GREAT THING TO TEACH US. SO THANKYOU FOR YOU YOUR RECIPES. YET I AM ALWAYS COMING HERE JUST TO WATCH YOU WHENEVER I TAKE A BREAK. MOST KIND REGARDS TRACY GILLAN. GOD BLESS YOU TWICE 🙏🏻
Thank you so much.
YOUR AMAZING THANKYOU FOR TEACHING ME WHAT YOU HAVE. YOU TEACH IN A WAY ONE CAN UNDERSTAND AND YOU TAKE AWAY THE FEELINGS OF IT BEING JUST SO HARD NO MATTER WHAT YOUR TEACHING. BLESS YOU AND THANKYOU AGAIN SO VERY MUCH. A HI TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY OF SUPPORT ALSO. MOST KIND REGARDS TRACY GILLAN. GOD BLESS YOU TWICE 🙏🏻
Simple is my motto. Thanks for watching.
my grandma's house was just the same, a single light bulb in most rooms, pot belly stove and wood cookstove.
Good memories. Thanks for watching.
learn this recipe I didn't have all the ingredients and neither did the person that showed me but it was condensed milk instead of buttermilk and self-rising flour. I'm sure it's not the correct way but they were still good just like that.
Great job!
Use plain flour and rapid yeast?
Yes, you can
Was reading about this today. It can be very toxic to the liver. So be careful. I’m using it for candida
Does anyone know if it has to be bread flour or all purpose?
I usually use bread flour but for years I used all purpose. So use what you have.
What would process time for half pints. I did sausage links for 75 minutes without adding any water and they are literally hard as a rock!!! 6 packs wasted. I am so sad…😢😢😢😢
The links were in pint jars. 5 in a jar but it was not 1 inch head space..maybe 1/4-1/2….
Can you please include a picture of the completed schedule board :)
A spray bottle of vinegar will stop a burn.
I can’t find the recipe. I’d love to try your recipe. Thank you.
Cathead Biscuits Made Easy by Pemberley Farm Homestead (a higher temp. helps them rise higher, also placed touching close together). Preheat Oven: 425'F-450'F Bake 400 degrees/Bake:20 minutes Preheat Oven: 450'F/Bake: 10 - 15 min. 12" cast iron skillet, greased, 2 - if making a larger batch. Usually I make a double batch and make larger biscuits in two skillets. Grannie used All-Purpose Flour, Salt, Baking powder, maybe Baking soda, Lard and Buttermilk. This is a smaller batch and makes 5 large. 4-6 c.Self Rising Flour 1c.Shortening/Lard 2 c. Heavy Whipping Cream/Buttermilk/sub. Sweet Milk w-vinegar, mix if needed. Knead the fat to warm & soften it. Rub a fist/handful of fat - the lard or crisco into the flour until pea size or crumbles, Add liquid as needed, just until formable into a ball/patty. Gently handle the dough, just until it forms a patty. Do not knead it, the less handling the better. You Will not use all of the flour, allow it to sit for several hours to dry the crumbs until hardened to, just sieve/sift and cover to store for next time. making them about the size of a cat's head. So I used her recipe and I pinched them off the way she did instead of rolling them out and she called them cat head biscuits. Place close together in the pan pre-greased 8-12" skillet or tortilla griddle. Time/Time estimated from other recipes of cathead biscuits. Hope this helps.
Just finding you !! Carrots and potatoes are wonderful together. Have you tried adding onion and parsnips too ?
