Dakota/Sex On Fire mash-up
Warning - the following may contain facts that are both completely untrue and entirely fictitious.
Back in the day, Loganberry Festival chief Brian Hovis had a problem. They were one song short for the finale of the Festival and Brian didn’t know what to do. As he was musing his problem aloud two young and keen interns both overheard his dilemma and independently started to act. One called the best family band since the Osmonds, Kings of Leon, and asked them to come and play their huge hit Sex on Fire whilst the other spoke to Stereophonics, second only to The Alarm in Welsh rankings, and requested they save the day with Dakota. On the final evening of the Festival Brian was gobsmacked when both bands turned up to play but there was only time for one song. This led to a little argy-bargy backstage as both bands had practised twice to be ready for this moment. After some discussions of a “this much talent” nature they put their musical differences aside and discussed a name for their super-ultimate-rock-god-to-eleven band. Stereo Leon was a leading contender for a while before their combined love of language and learning helped them agree to be known henceforth as the Kings of Phonics. The name of their combined track proved trickier with some members fearing cancellation with the title Sex on Dakota. Eventually they settled on the only slightly less problematic Dakota on Fire and, with their foil-wrapped cucumbers safely in place, got ready to perform the set of their lives!

Are you sure you won’t consider publishing the sheet music on musescore? I can’t find a single good rendition, and the Synesthesia tutorial that someone based off your video unfortunately gets a lot wrong.

This may be the closest we'll come to an official release of this theme for quite some time. Beautiful arrangement of an incredible theme, easily one of my favorite Gold companion themes. May be some recency bias at play but it may only be rivaled by Life of Sunday for me. Such beautiful joyous themes that can be easily flipped on their heads into excruciating pain!

Still trying to find a score that remotely plays like this. Far too many on MuseScore just don’t sound right…
It's funny that there are so many versions which don't quite get the relatively simple harmonies right. I remember buying sheet music back in the day and being frustrated and annoyed by errors. The sheet music for Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush that was published in the 80s had vocal lines half a bar out with the harmony!
This is really wonderful and just what I wanted to hear this morning. Excellent playing. Going to restart the series from the beginning very shortly :)
