Ty so much for making this I love the books and the movies but when I watched them after reading the books it just felt so disloyal to the ENTIRE story of the book and basically everything and every person in my class has no idea they were books first I love the movies but because of how drastically different from the books they were no one seems to know the books exist and there is very little fan content it's sad to me as a fan that there is practically no book fandom but yapping aside amazing animatic

Finding this 6 years after it was made and it's still one of the only things dedicated to the httyd books, which is criminal. This animatic was incredible, especially Termagent and the Deadly Shadow. (also i love the lil doodle at the end theyre such scrunkly guys)

Whenever I’m feeling like I need a good cry I come to this video. It’s just so good and it always gets the water works flowing.

There’s something so sad and moving about the lifespan difference between dragons and humans… and the fact that the humans in these relationships besides Hiccup III have consistently tragic deaths. The dragons get left behind, hurting, and the way they choose to deal with grief is so complex. Eventually it all comes down to love leftover.
