Just happened with my new NX8 - Ya I freaked real bad because I was going to go flying tomorrow LOL. Held down the roller, without turning it off and it cleared it. Then did your method too just to be sure xD

In my experiwnce this brand is realy bad. Has glitches and repairs needed brand new. Not worth the money. A lot of other people have issues with them also. Spektrum requested to be sent for repairs and of course is not free. They make money from bad products.
THANK YOUUUU!!! i put some bad batteries in the thing and it browned out and currpeted one of my models so it couldnt read it. It would not boot so doing this helped.
Hi maybe you can help me out I just get the spectrum ws2000 simulator and is bing with the transmitter spectrum dxe but nothing shows in my laptop I have a hp laptop with 8gb and 1t bro and I don't know what to do I'm new in this hobby that's why I buy the simulator can you help me out with this thanks
rf9.5s is garbage,, especially since it runs thru and depends on steam.. sucks.. and that dongle is garbage manual tells nothing. they sell is as a package or for realflight yet why no spektrum dongle option?? . i hate it

I have been depressed since getting this message on my DX8 at the field this morning... was not looking forward to returning it for service since it is especially slow during this virus mess. You have brightened the remainder of my day. Sir, may your skies be blue and your winds calm ! Also this morning, the spring on my DX6 right stick came off, I took the radio apart to have a look and it looks hard to try and fix. And my student's new radio was not working but we found a work-a-round for it.

I just bought a SPMWS2000. I'm having nothing but trouble, trying to get my ix12 to work properly with it. It seems the dongle doesn't see any of the switches on the upper right of the transmitter. I'd like to have switch G as my throttle hold. There doesn't seem to be any way to register that switch to the dongle. Perhaps I have a faulty Dongle. Any suggestions?
I doubt it’s faulty , when you set the model in the radio you set it as a acro correct? And as for my understanding it’s a 8 ch receiver so it won’t pick up all of them , when I did the video it was with rf9 and I no longer have it and I know they updated to 9.5 so it may have changed some of the mapping functions . I believe it will only map switches that the interlink controller has but again not to sure , sorry I’m not much help
@@lkn4home Yes, I started with a fresh Acro model. Some switches work, others don’t. I even found one Blog that suggested every model you fly on the simulator needs a unique control profile, for the WS2000. Another article suggested a Heli model profile is required for flying Helis. I’ve tried every suggestion, I’ve found to date. Things do change, depending on model profile; I’ve even had some luck assigning different switches on my ix12. You’re totally correct, Jason, only 8 channels can be configured and the dongle is most likely not faulty. I was under the mistaken impression that the Spektrum Dongle was some sort of Bluetooth or similar connection interface. My expectation was that at the very least, my ix12 would function the same as the Interlink DX controller, without any intervention. What I’ve learned is that the Transmitter actually thinks of the Dongle as a receiver, and as such the receiver (the dongle) has to be set up, in addition to any programming that might be needed in the radio. I think the real bottom line is that the programming possibilities on the dongle, in conjunction with the ix12 Transmitter, are nearly endless. As things go these days, provided documentation is very lacking in detail. What would we do without the Internet? TH-cam and Blogs are a great help. I’ve opened a support ticket with Spektrum, in the hopes that they might shed some light on my specific ix12 and WS2000 programming requirements. I’m currently awaiting their response. In all likelihood, I’m going to return the dongle, for refund.
@@wolfgangreiner744 odds are is you will get the same as my video lol , I opened a ticket when I got mine and the info in the video was there response. Agree there needs more documentation or at least a setup file that can be downloaded .
Thanks Jason. Your help was greatly appreciated. I received an email reply from HH Support, yesterday. It was encouraging but not specific enough. They suggested I call their support technicians in person. I plan to call them tomorrow. I agree, a downloadable SPM file for the ix12 would be extremely helpful. If I learn anything new, I’ll share the info with you.
@@lkn4home Success! The phone call did it. The HH support guy was very knowledgeable. He talked me through the basic ACRO setup and followed up with an email. I’ve since also successfully set up the Throttle cut switch on Switch H on my ix12. My biggest mistake in the process was binding the basic ACRO model in my ix12 to the Dongle, before properly configuring the Channel and Switch assignment. The correct process is to configure the new ACRO model with the correct channel/switch assignment, before binding. You probably already know the following: The InterlinkDX controller sold with RealFlight 9.5 can handle 9 discreet channels. The Spektrum WS2000 dongle (receiver) can handle only 8 discreet channels. Transmitters of course, are capable of more channels, depending on model.

i'm totally new to all R/C but in the last month i've purchased 2 DR10 pro mod cars and 2 trucks. A Traxxas slash and a Vaterra C-10 Pick-up. i got the E-flite Apprentice STS Prop RTF and the Habu STS Jet RTF. Trying to get both my Transmitters working on Steam using the WS2000 Dongle and both the DXe and DXs. I just realized your thinking this video is the instruction I need to get this done for myself. Guess it should apply to the Real Flite Trainer Edition also. Duh Thanks for the video, I subscribed as I should given the help it appears I need. Couldn't see the writing on the tar mac... Thought I'd say wall. lol
Realflight 9 can't even detect my ws2000. It is appear on the human device, Can't find a solution.

@@lkn4home no, I can't get it work and it was returned for refund
Did you hold the bind button while inserting the usb receiver? That’s how the instructions say to do it and it worked for me. You cannot put it into bind mode if you insert the usb then press the button. You have to hold the button and keep holding it while it’s being inserted into your computer.
This is for a drone. Don’t work for planes.
Is not for a drone it must be set this way to work for heli or plane, I fly helis mostly
But yes it works 100% for planes

Am I the only person thinking this is almost the EXACT same as the goblin 500, I have a g500 myself and the parts and everything are so similar
It's a well known fact it's a clone, there is a few things that dont match up but 95% is a goblin clone .
Hi When your dx8 went out did it cause a crash? Mine did! How long has your dx8 been ok with no failures or problems since the fix thanks!
I had zero issues for over 2 years. Untill I sold it last year and they have had none. When it does this it's not a issue with the radio it's just a corrupt modle and by deleting it gets rid of it.

Was doing a software update to my DX6E. Turned the TX back on and got this message. Performed your fix and the TX came back on line but my 450 Heli model was gone. It Saved my Extra 300 and my P-38.??? Not sure why it dumped my Heli program. Thanks for the 411 on this!!

omega performance good I was happy with them had about 200 flights. I have sold it and only fly sab now but they are well built helicopters

no , the 570 belt is longer then the stretch kit belt but you can go to lynx website or helilids.com and have alan order you a belt
