I have seen this knot before but this video explained it the best and kept the steps clear and concise. Thank You.
Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. Wish you well.
Thanks Dan. Have a great week!
I was wondering why on earth to use this method until I saw "easier to tie when using long line" 😎
Lol, the fewer lines flying around is that much less the cat can get into.
Ha, yes, I know the problem. I've got three of them. Fortunately, they don't gang up on my cords LOL @@all-tied-up_net
Thank you. I love the simplicity of this method, especially compared to other convoluted instructions I have seen. You really make tying knots a whole lot simpler! And not just this one!

I’m sorry, but there’s no way that rope is 30mm🤷♂️

I need to make a new paracord rope for my dog's jolly ball. I've already braided 5 strands of 750 paracord into a flat braid rope. Any chance you could show us a 5-strand paracord stopper knot or Matthew Walker? Thank you!
Sure thing! I'll work on getting something posted. What type of braid pattern did you use?
@@all-tied-up_net Thank you! The braid is the one where you have all five strands laid flat, held at one end, and you separate the strands two to the left, three to the right, then bring the right-most one of the group of three to the inside in the middle; now you have three on the left and bring the left-most one over to the middle, and so forth, always bringing the outermost of the group of three over to the middle. It makes a flat braid. I wanted to make a round braid, but my meager talents weren't up to that.
Video uploaded. Hope it helps. th-cam.com/video/TphdMb70kyc/w-d-xo.html
That's a nice way to finish a line. If I ever meet Matthew Walker I'll buy him a Red Stripe.
Lol. I think he deserves a double.

Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
I’m sorry but that looks like 10mm diameter
Good eye. I guess I should have mentioned the 30 mm was referencing the circumference which is 10mm diameter or 9.549 to be more exact.
That takes me way back to when my dad was teaching me knots.
Thank you for taking the time to watch. Unfortunately knotting has become irrelevant to many. Your dad was wise to share his knowledge.

helpful. thank you.
Thank you.
Thanks for showing ❤️
Very nice and east. I have to remember that knot.
If you tie them single - without doubling, you'll notice the difference properly. The Footrope knot is the Diamond knot upside down and vice versa. You can also see better that in the Footrope knot the 3 strands come out of the firstly tied crown, so to speak through the middle. Whereas they come out of their own bight in the diamond knot. Like they do in Matthew Walker knots. Also in the Footrope knot the strands go into the knot separately ie each through its separate bight whereas in the diamond knot they go up into the knot through the middle. I was so puzzled by them in my beginning, I needed to solve that.
It always amazes me how much I slight change of tension, direction of pull or simple change in the order of how you tie a knot gives it a whole new character.
@@all-tied-up_net So true, I have tied some ABOK knots a bit wrong ie didn't dress them as they should have been and they looked completely different. But the Footrope vs. Diamond knot was a proper puzzle and I was so excited when I solved it. It helped me with creating longer variants.
One does not argue with Ms. Marble. I did not like the video. Just my opinion.
Thank you for commenting. My apologies if my replies came off as argumentative and not a discussion on topic. Any suggestions as to how you would like to see videos presented are welcome as channel's goal is to advance the art and engage with viewers.
This tutorial is very helpful for me who is just learning.thank you

The wall knot is tied counterclockwise I would think - seeing where the working ends point to - but you tied it backwards and by that going clockwise. Meaning you enter looks right from the start whereas when you tie counterclockwise you only go under loose ends. Which can puzzle as the last one to enter will be a loop. It is always good to find solutions to one's problems.
Exactly, it's all relative to perspective.🧐😉
@@all-tied-up_net yes, but you also said that one should tie in the orientation the cord is laid so I assume rightlaid should be tied counterclockwise and left clockwise. I noticed the macramee cord I got is leftlaid. Noticed that it is important for sidesplicing in my bracelets.
@@MabelTyingTuts I guess it would be less confusing to say it's best lay the individual crown or wall with the lay of the rope but the order of creating the crown/walls ( clockwise or counter clockwise) is up to person tying knot. Of course the lay of the individual crown/wall is really just a concern when dealing with strands of twisted rope. Working a multi strand sennit, direction of lay is up to the individual as one way or the other is strictly cosmetic.
