​@@goat9629 1) I didn't glaze em in the vid, I only talked about what Anthony missed 2) he disliked the album because in his own review as he says, he found the concept shallow and corny and a lot of the reasons he gave for finding the music not fun was because of what his understanding of the album was so if he got the concept, he would've liked it more. This should be obvious, You read a book and u don't understand what's going on then you won't like it at all. Duhh

I'd give it a 7 or light 8 too but Anthony give lil pump 7s and sexxy reds 8. I don't think his 6 is a good rating, I think his ratings are just messed up lmao

@@dontlook-atus the ratings change based on the expectations I think, the premise of a lil pump album is to have a couple of party ear worms and perhaps a couple of headbangers, you expect the lowest of lows and terrible content, and you get an album that does what it’s set out to do, of course it can’t get a 10, but it’s about as good as it’s going to get for that style of music or artist…. That’s how I see it at least, not a captivating listen but it’s not too slow, it’s not bloated it’s not musically boring and it’s just exactly what it’s supposed to be….

@@dontlook-atus Eminem is Shady. Shady is Eminem. It's the same human being, it's Marshall Mathers. His takes on (Little People, Disabled People, LGBT People, Women & People of Other Cultures & Races, and Gen-Z) is how he truly feels. Even if I completely don't agree with him, I would rather he say these things as himself over categorizing it as a Persona saying it. I disagree, with 90% of what Kanye says in his recent music but I respect the fact that he's saying it, not a persona.

I don't think Eminem should be held account about what he's done in the (past) because he's now a different person, he's not racist an addict or an alcoholic anymore. However I do look at the (present) especially what he said to TylerTheCreator on "Fall" insulting him with the "F" slur, mixed with his opinions on LGBT People within the album, I honestly can't say Eminem is not Homophobic or Anti-LGBT and his weird targetting for Women celebrities all the time is a bit too much. I think Eminem gets too much unfair hatred online especially for the things he's done in the past, changed and apologized for but I'm not gonna blindly pretend that some of the things people say about him are truthful and justfied, I honestly can't pretend he doesn't a weird hatered to some women Women, LGBT and Gen-Z. While rank #1 Eminem my all time favorite rapper followed by #2 Lil Wayne #3 Nicki Minaj #4 Kendrick Lamar #5 Busta Rhymes. I'm not gonna absolve them from criticism I do the same with Nicki all the time even while I love her pen and artistry. You can call them "intrusive" thoughs but I don't think they completely are.

Fant simply comes off as bias when he discusses anything Marshall related. Anyone that knows better expects exactly this. I don’t think he’s living in anyone’s head (how? Marshall proves him wrong every time by how well he does) I personally just find it funny that he made himself look so remedial this time. I mean, everyone has a right to their opinion but it’s cringe at this point considering so many other people actually understand the concept / project or at least provided proper receipts to back up their stance. Just another person scraping for attention for views / relevance. Fant doesn’t provide any form of meaningful feedback which results in a cesspool of toxicity . It has become a meme at this point.

Acc to Fantano- Sexxy red's album is better than Cupcakke's new album, MMLP 2, most of Drake's catalogue, Mtbmb, and this slim shady album. I don't need to spell out something is horribly wrong there

My issue with it is that if the album is meant to be a story, and you miss the whole story, then you won't be able to judge the album properly. A lot of issues Anthony had with some of the lines of the album and concepts would've been solved if he understood it in context of the lore (see his review for reference). That's what I made this video to point out

Also, if Anthony was just rating the songs of the album individually and we took an average, the album would end up higher even by his standards. He judges an album as a complete body of work and the story matters to the overall review, it's not just whether it's good music or bad music.

It's not just a metaphor, it's an alternate reality. When you reverse the album it begins with Marshall not quitting drugs on Somebody save me, thinking about death on Temporary and the track Habits also takes on a different meaning when you understand that in this version, he'd still be on drugs. It's a full on different timeline lol

Yeah but no. Two albums being complex doesn't mean you understand them both and I feel personally Mr. Morale and the big steppers' concept is a little on the nose, it's hard to really miss. And while this isn't a perfect album or anything and MMLP still is leagues better, to think that an album that had a deep concept and storyline like this and such good execution, specially backwards (which is better than the original order of the tracks, spoiler) gets the same rating as Music to be murdered by, which for all intents was an album about Em flexing that, "Look, I can still rap".. it doesn't sit right with me

He does, There's parts of slim still lingering in him even after he kills him but he's much tamer towards the end which is pretty realistic to what you'd expect in the album's universe after slim is killed

I was a bit bitter so I threw in some disses. Sorry lol. He gave cupcakke's album a 6, a few hours after he rated this a 5, he gave lil pump a 7, the same as MMLP2, and Sexxy Red an 8.. his ratings are a big hit and miss when it comes to hiphop. He is not consistent like ever

@@aidenlucas3271 fantano is heavily biased towards liking or disliking something before it’s even listened to(which is normal but he’s a critic). Eminem is one of those people where he forces himself (or naturally) picks on little things like funny one liners and bases his entire image of that

8 is a pretty good rating actually. I don't give high to almost any songs.. 6 means it's pretty good, 7 means it's great, 8 means it's amazing, 9 means it's phenomenal and 10 mean it's perfect

And idk man. I loved the verses on houdini but the beat just irks me for some reason

@@dontlook-atus You do realize the beat is a sample from the Steve Miller Band, right? Their song called Abracadabra, which ties into Houdini. Give me any other artist that could make that song work in hip hop.

​@@jaynpeeps I have heard the original song a lot, and there's still something annoying about the beat.. idk. My ears just don't like it. And sampling isn't new, almost all hiphop tracks use samples and a lot of times the songs that are sampled from are thematically tied to the new track. A random example, "there once was a Thug from around the way. Eazy". Has been sampled probably a 100 times already from Logic to Metro Boomin in like that. That doesn't mean everything will just sound good automatically.

I did but I never liked the encore style. My favorite is and always was MMLP, and I like those kind of tracks more. Sorry

Antichrist has actually grown on me. I'll rate it around a 7 or 8 now, but idk about brand new dance. No need to be so angry bruh. I like Em that doesn't mean everything on the album will be perfect

Also I wanted to give lucifer and Antichrist a 6 coz the devil's number but antichrist is definitely better than that now that I listen to it lol

What I meant was from a meta stand point, in story and in universe it's slim shady doing these things but in real life, eminem added that track so people would talk about the album , right? That being said, trouble has started to seem less corny to me over listening to the album reversed a few times and seeing it purely from the universe the album is set in. I'll be re-rating it around 6/10 now

It’s also a way to show him slipping back and forth into slim meta wise it’s a concept album literally showing the concept of slim,Marshall and Eminem. Also he said in that or evil that he never liked that aspect of himself but it was more the unfiltered & maniac thoughts he had mid drug era

I rated it low coz the beat and hook were nice but the verses were just.. ok? There wasn't much of anything to latch onto and I'm personally not a fan of commercialesque/club banger type songs like these. Idk it might grow on me later
