Where to start with this one of one masterpiece. Never seen before as this is a secret fresh build. Miniworld magazine feature is arranged so the lucky winner can do that if they wish.
A 1979 Mini clubman that is now completely customised. The base car was sourced and fully restored this included lots of new metal, floors, front end, bonnet, sills inner & outer also strengthened, door skins and more. The addition of the fully welded cage that is a marvel in itself and is also paint matched. Lots of other strengthening work has been carried out including a custom section for the side exit exhaust. An Allspeed kit with shafts etc takes care of the mating of the engine to the body. The fully custom and one off steel seam welded body kit including front splitter and rear diffuser is a chefs kiss! Painted in Range Rover limited edition Moraine blue, this is simply sensational. Check out the MGC Seat Leon carbon wing and mount that has been customised to fit, another one off! Carbon mirrors and the addition of a black grill, handles, badging, wing mount etc look awesome. Finishing the outside off is the jewel crystal rear lights & LED headlights and the stunning 13x7 Mamba alloys in black and silver rim!
Under the bonnet sits a freshly built and fully forged Vauxhall 1998cc C20LET Turbo engine that's pushing out a mega 300 BHP & 250 ibft of power at 13 psi! This is one of the greatest sounding Minis I've heard. Some of the spec includes a standard crank with diamond polished journals, new main bearings, PEC H-beam con rods, new big end bearings, new oversized Mahle pistons and a rebore. It has a z20let oil pump with enlarged oil pick up, steel sump for space saving. New water pump. Coscast head has been skimmed, ported and polished to gasket size, new valves with triple cut seats, new valve guides, piper springs with titanium caps and new collets, EDS inlet manifold with enlarged throttle body. Cams are standard but have been diamond polished. Standard c20let turbo with a hybrid core (stage 1). Manifold has been ceramic coated to keep heat down. New dump valve with different strength tuning springs in the box. The intercooler is identical to the one that came off, and the pipe size is the same. The main difference is the inlet manifold, it's made for this engine. Upgraded 550cc Injectors and fuel rail, single valve springs with titanium caps, there is a new seal kit of course. New starter motor. Lightened and balanced flywheel with new clutch. It's been built with red line assembly lube, ARP bolts (stupid expensive!!) new spark plugs, refurbished distributor. New core plugs all round, new studs all round. Running a custom mapped Dtafast ECU. Carbon induction. An F20 5 speed gearbox thats been totally rebuilt and upgraded including Quaife ATB LSD! Full custom side exit exhaust that sounds epic! Of course everything else is upgraded, a boot mounted fuel cell with upgraded fuelling system, Torox 6 pot callipers, grooved discs, braided hoses, Protec adjustable suspension fully rose jointed, Compbrake bias pedal box, the spec goes on and on!
Internally function is the theme, Kirkey race seats with side support and Turn one 4 point harnesses in black keep you glued in! Detachable STR alcantara 3 spoke steering wheel, custom cage mounted digital display with carbon surround, custom carbon dash, carbon door cars with alloy door furniture, carbon parcel shelf, cage mounted race mirror and custom footwell plates are just heavenly. A few nice DSN billet parts also make an appearance.
