it is a super cool bike, he loves it, i assume can make it work financially and so long as he got the right size I say go with it. i bought a much diffarent bike for what I want to do with it. I hole you do a full on roast of DW's Elves Tri bike soon❤

The weird thing for me is turning my wrists in causes my elbows to flare out so it is a very slight turn for me.

Definitely a slight turn in is more comfortable.

l tried this its straight up and down for me, I pretty much new this affer I oulled my Sacrum riding my gravel bike with the shifter turned in like a CAT 3 racer 😂. thanks for putting this one out Dan

I can't help thinking that most people just need to ride more and put in a few hard efforts each week and they will improve. I focus on riding 3 times a week to improve. Two shorter (turbo in winter) harder rides and one longer one for the weekend (I also do short commutes every day of the week on top). Power meters and heart rate monitors can get in the sea.

If the sole is bending your losing power transfer. Thus losing power!

I haven’t had a coach but over the last year and used the Wahoo Systm structured plans as I do most of my riding indoors due to weather or work. Just about to try trainer road and now getting a smart trainer so I can take my bike on the road for work and maintain consistency more than just sticking to the numbers on a weekend. Question for you what was the green bike over your shoulder as loved the colour 😊

great video when i had my coach before i got sick, she ask when are my rides or events iwth friends and we build that into the plan. like my friends love doing TTs on Wednesday night and i do a mini triathlon on thursday night we planned for that in the schedule happy training

It’s not his fault he bought such a bike. Most people fall for the expensive trap because of popular social media channels. If he is happy and has the cash then it’s fine. Most people should downgrade to a bike they can potentially fix/adjust themselves with ease

Interesting discussion. I do shorter and harder in the winter. Because I'm either indoors or its cold outside. In summer I ride longer and steadier. And get my intensity from racing. When I was a teenager I rode with a local cycing club. They had a small-ring until Easter policy. Yikes. Couldn't do that now.

If you're young with lots of enthusiasm for cycling buy whatever gets you out of bed in a morning to go to work. Everybody will tell you that you should have bought this or that, so who cares, buy what suits you.

I haven't been impressed with Lake. The cleat is too far forward and the bolts will strip with 5-6nm of torque, the shoes are not shaped well (they curve ALOT), and the built in arch is too aggressive. I much prefer Specialized with their neutral construction and reliance on the footbed to generate the arch.

You know that I love your stuff but the camera work in this video just isn't right in my opinion..... When there is an interview between two people, they both need to be seen all the times. It's the facial expressions and body language of both people that tells the story, just as much as what they say x

Funny that Dan likes working with the saddle clamp on the Emonda. The biggest - only, actually - complaint on my '22 Emonda is this clamp. Once set into the seatpost, the cups don't rotate freely (even when greased). I have to guess where it needs to be and if the tilt isn't where I want it once the bolt is tightened to spec, I have to pop the cups out and start anew. Give me a 2-bolt clamp all the time.
