    Nice bench. I like the creativity. I am a new woodworker and am working on !y workbench now. It will not be as fancy as yours though. I am only. Putting one 3/4 piece of plywood on top. How deep should dog holes be? Should I add more plywood? The plywood is not inlaid like yours it sits on top of 2/4 frame and support.

    • @carlytackles
      @carlytackles หลายเดือนก่อน

      Welcome to woodworking!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I would have the dog holes go completely through. Some of the accessories have a longer 3/4” shaft. Before I made my workbench, i watched youtube videos, many recommended at least 2 sheets of 3/4” plywood. The great thing about woodworking is you can always build another workbench as you learn what you like and don’t like. Think of it as a prototype.

      @carlytackles hi. Thanks. I also wanted to ask you how to make something plum. My workbench on one diagonal side is 95 5/8 and the other side is 95 7/16. How do I get it even?

    • @carlytackles
      @carlytackles หลายเดือนก่อน

      @businessleadership2717 if this is a solid piece like a sheet of plywood, you will have to make some cuts to ensure corners are 90 and sides are same lengths. If it is something like a frame, its normally my angles in the corner, especially if i used miters, that are causing me issues. Before assembly, can use clamps to make sure corners are square and are good to go before glueing or fastening. Also, never trust a manufacturer edge is 90. I typically cut 2x4 ends off at the miter saw before starting measurements.

    Thanks,just bought mine and was confused on the bevel cut adjustment. Edit: For anyone like me who still couldn't get tilt to work, check the troubleshooting section to figure out how to adjust the bolts in the back for bevel tension and lock arm tension. The smaller bolt you loosen to reduce friction on the lock arm and the larger bolt you loosen to allow the saw to tilt for a bevel cut, and vice versa for tightening.

      Can the pool be moved once is set up but still empty? Can I drag it empty?

    • @carlytackles
      @carlytackles 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For setup- you are going to want to allow for room to work and fully extend the u frames. The manual says the frame (when setup) will stick out an extra foot making your total pool dimension 10’ x 19’. I would allow for more room. If I could do it over, i would extend that paver width - my length was fine. The frame needs to hit the center of the support- ours ended up hitting the outside edge of pavers and it caused them to shift.

    • @carlytackles
      @carlytackles 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not easily. There is weight but the problem is more with the frames. They don’t support the pool well until water is it. They are going to fall in or out when you move it and will need to be setup again. The frames stand and extend to their proper place once filled with water.

  • @edil.lopezm9443

    I'm gonna set up mine soon. How far from the eage of my deck I should set the legs up? .

    • @carlytackles
      @carlytackles 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The legs when setup, take up an extra foot (10’ x19’) according to the manual. One thing to think about is that to setup the pool the u frame have to lay full flat and out away from pool. If the deck has a railing- make sure you allow for the length of the U frame on each side plus the pool dimensions or your setup will be difficult

    66 year old granny here. My two cents… A girlfriend and I put the walls & roof together last weekend. We had trouble with one of the walls for some reason - WD40 did the trick. I had all sorts of trouble with the 2 door latches. Again - watched tons of videos but the little lever would NOT fit in the hole of the plastic pieces. I switched them, tried a gazillion different configurations. I tried WD40 - nothing. After quitting and letting the stuff sit outside - it rained. When I tried it again - voila. Have no idea why that worked - I did nothing different. After reading a gazillion reviewers complain about the door hinges, I watched a slew of videos on how to install them. So today - I tried it by myself. They ARE difficult. The hard part - for me - was getting one hinge on each door to snap into the wall. The other 2 went fine and but the 3rd one on each side was awful. To be clear - they DO SNAP in place - you have an obvious, audible snap. I also had some weird plastic piece that connected the 2 handle pieces together. Didn’t see anyone else with that so I broke it off. Handles went on pretty easily - but they are plastic. Some folks put a metal latch on - which I may try. My best advice - watch videos. They are a huge help. Good luck!
