I love your videos! Keep going like that guys 😉
Thanks a lot for that Damien!
Is this still working? I'm struggling with some device that keeps on failing to install Crowd Strike. My work around if that happen, just simply reinstall it locally but that is not the ideal resolution. I'm still newbie and many things to learn on intune.
@@EmzieGaming there has happened some new things on the client since I made this, so I have to update this function before you try it 🥳
I would love to learn if there are actually more people that need the Publisher information exposed like this in Discovered Apps than there are people who need the ability to sort items by columns other than Name.
I’d like to know that too 🥳 I’ll ask the product team next week
They removed the possibility to configure the Get Started app from Organizational Messages, now there is no way to configure this app anymore. 😢
@@Jimmy_Winberg correct. But how many actually used it is a good question
@@MSEndpointMgr They should have pushed that a bit more, great welcoming for new users, how to get started on your first day. They should also include organization message for A5, right now there is no way for education tenants to use this feature.

Being new to this tool, correct me if I understood something wrong, we need to download the e.g. Google Chrom file and keep it in system before we open the PSDAT so that PSDAT can pick up and push it further.
@@littletoes6622 you have to download the file you want to install, correct. Then you place it in the files folder and use PSADT to execute it.
You made it very easy to understand and learn for a beginner like me. explained in details of each file and its usage too.
@@littletoes6622 thank you very much. Good luck on your journey
Great run through as always guys! Much appreciated.
thank you very much! Have a great summer
This video is incredibly impressive and highly informative. It provides clear and comprehensive guidance for anyone struggling with application packaging. The explanations are easy to follow, and the tips are practical and useful. Thank you for creating such a valuable resource! I wish to connect with Intune Admin so discuse more up coming issue in the world of Intune.
Thanks a lot. My very first video. Great view back in time. Thanks for the comment!

Hooray Nickolaj and your mic 🙂 It could definitely be closer to you as there's still a bunch of room sound, however, it's vastly improved from last time 😀 Thank you! 20:27 - I'm a bit confused with the enrollment requirement. Previously you had to enable personal devices to enroll because there was a bug that did not let anything enroll even if the corporate id was added. Is this bug fixed? Do we still need to enable personal devices? (I haven't tested yet as I just checked a minute ago and see that my tenant now has the new id type for CSV upload). 39:25 - Where did you get that new Company Portal app from? My tenant version is 11.2.58.0 (installed via New Store). I'm guessing it's in beta? 41:34 - Ah this reminds me I need to re-test the enrollment to see if my group gets populated now (it was broken before). OS Version picker - This is great to see but it's frustrating when they start putting similar settings in multiple spots. It adds to the confusion when trying to set it up - where do I do it?
Thanks Marc, we will keep improve the sound :) Question 1: Corporate identifiers was fixed and the announcement is here: techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/new-windows-corporate-device-identifier-feature-with-microsoft/ba-p/4180287 Question 2: I have a production laptop with 11.2.448.0, we didn't do beta on this one :) yeah that is fustrating when there are more than one option. Typically because there are many scenarios. I suggest you do it as Peter showed in the iOS updates tab.
@@MSEndpointMgr Thanks for the announcement link, I missed that for some reason. Maybe I checked an old device re:company portal. It's probably just me 😛
@@MSEndpointMgr I just retried enrollment using device prep (it was broken before in my tenant) and it's now still kind of broken. The device is registered as corporate (due to device identifiers) but it still doesn't get added to the AutopilotDevicePreparationDeviceGroup that we create in the beginning. (Yes it's correct type and has correct SP as owner)... any idea where to check? Can I even get logs for this process? edit The new report for monitoring device prep deployments is also blank - so the whole thing doesn't work I guess...😞
@@MrMarcLaflamme can you try have a look at the audit log of the Intune Service Principle? It might give you a hint what it tried. Nothing will work if it can’t add the device to the group
@@MSEndpointMgr The only activity the SP has is where I added it as the owner to the group. I've just tried a new group with a new policy and same thing. Autopilot is not even touching this SP.
Hey guys, that is amazing stuff ❤ I just started to work with PSADT and would love it already, thanks a lot 👍
Is Intune capable to skip versions? In my case we have W10 22H2 machines and I would like to replicate your setup, with the exception that the feature update will be set not to "Windows 11" but "Windows 11, version 23H2"
yes you can do that :)

Thanks Pelle.
Sorry for the terrible sound, I had forgotten to move my mic closer (it's standing behind my monitor) 😅
Thanks again guys. Would be interested to hear how you guys are exporting the log files to do your own reporting? Is it Automated?
Hey thank you for the message. Can you elaborate on what logs you would like to export in terms of reporting?
Great insight with the Bitlocker policy. Maybe Mattias could show us how he set up the log analytics workspace and show us some more example queries?
Yep I can indeed do that.
Thanks guys! Good points all around. - The UI for Company Portal is a car crash. So much wasted space, and useless info. This doesn't look any better. The status messages are inaccurate, laggy at best. It's massively unresponsive. - The security baselines are unusable because of conflicts, they conflict with each other, and with your existing endpoint security policies. It's nuts that Intune lets you create conflicting policies without even warning you about it. Why do we have to assign them to devices, and then manually check for conflicts post enforcement? It shouldn't be hard for it to warn you and even suggest how to resolve conflicts. - One the one hand we are told 'device names don't matter', and then we find Entra and Defender get swamped with stale device records. How do we know what these are, which are duplicates? That's fiddly. We try to assign device names based on serial number, but this should be easy in all deployment scenarios, and it should be easier to discover and resolve duplicate devices. - with the Android pre-prov, do all the assigned apps land before initial user sign in? And once they sign in to Intune app, are they pre-authenticated to Outlook, etc??
Nickolaj, I know your office isn't done yet, but maybe grab some cushions or towels or something to reduce the echo in the room a bit?? It's hard to hear you. Thanks!
Noted. Thanks for the feedback!
11:55 - We were too eager and added many of our computer to Autopilot in the beginning before we knew what it would do in the back end and ended up with a whole load of these temporary entra objects (they show up as NO_SERIAL in many reports). Is there any way of removing them? We have since removed all but required devices from the AP Device list. 18:28 - I added the correct SP as the owner of the group but the ADP Profile keeps removing it after I save the profile. No idea what's happening. I also don't have the tuple csv upload option yet so I'm wondering if those are related. Finally - first time watching this series, well done! The only critique I have is Nickolaj's voice is a bit difficult to hear due to the room echo. Perhaps a headset mic or dedicated lapel mic would be better?
I see that can become a problem. I don’t think there really is any solution to it other that what you already done. Could be issues in your tenant. Do you see same behaviour if you try another one? I will buy a new Mic for Nickolaj 😂 thanks for the comment 👌🏻
@@MSEndpointMgr Ah okay, maybe I will need to open a support ticket because the Object ID's of these NO_SERIAL devices don't show up anywhere (Entra or Intune). I don't have another tenant to try with but I will try creating a new group to test with. Hooray for Nickolaj 😛
@@MrMarcLaflamme sounds like a good idea!
@@MSEndpointMgr it didn’t work 🙁. I’ve only found one other user so far who has experienced this (on Michael Niehaus’s blog). It’s very odd. I dread having to open a support ticket with MS.
@@MrMarcLaflamme sounds like it. Let us know how it went

Lovely 🥳👏🏻
I have applied a scoping filter for the single OU that I need to sync for two AD security groups. This all saves properly. However, when I go to enable the configuration, I get an overview of what changes will occur and the scoping filters section at the bottom shows clearly "All Users" even though my configuration has defined scoping filters setup. In your demo, I can see that your configuration review shows the scope filters you applied using your custom OU. Is this a known bug? I am using the latest agent version installed on my on-prem DC. Thanks for any suggestions.
Sorry Shep, I have never seen that. I would make a support request.
Not sure anyone will answer this question, but how can I setup BIOS profiles? and change any\all device BIOS settings from within Intune? and is this even possible? We use Lenovo & HP laptops. Any help is appreciated .. thx
Hi there, thanks for your question. You can't change BIOS settings from within Intune. That is not a feature yet. They recently implemented a way to do so with Dell bios CCTK tooling, but not for Lenovo or HP. Microsoft Surface is using DFCI which is managing BIOS from the cloud. The other vendors should also do this.
Thank you for taking me from zero towards hero
You are welcome Andy! I am trying to find the time to expand this series. There are still a lot more to learn :)
Hi there, I cant seem to get my head around support approved, am i right in syaing you dont need to create a rule as it should just allow a user to ask for approval on any app ? my user can just simply double click the exe and it runs, is this normal ?
Thanks for the question. Support approved first needs to be send as a enrollment policy to the client. Then your user will be able to ask for approval on any given EXE file without having a rule. If you user is able to just elevate, that might be related to your enrollment policy where you opened up to much. I usually block if there is no existing rule.
@@MSEndpointMgr turns out they were local admin on the device when i joined it to intune, it was a demo tenant so some funky stuff with adele vance :D
So I have users already existing in my azure Ad then I setup a new on prem ad then went ahead to install and configure cloud sync but when I try to provision, I get the azuredirectoryserviceattributevaluemustbeunique error. This is because of the proxyaddress and objectid. How do I resolve this serious
Attribute matching can be tricky. you need to learn about hard and soft matching when your are trying to do what you are doing. Please watch this video to learn about the concepts. th-cam.com/video/ome8-oVLDfc/w-d-xo.html
Hi, great video. Is it possible that you could make a special video with only "Auto update available with Win32 app supersedence". I think as an Intune admin this new feature is great, and I would like to know 100% how to use it. How do I set up the install command lines correctly for the superseeding app, see some examples etc.
Hi Morten Thanks for your comment. I will ask the team if they have time to do a deeper dive into this area. But in general, supersedence is very hard to make a 100% solution do to limitation of 10 apps and not able to cleanup if older apps is in that chain, which makes a mess in the Intune console.
Great video, thanks. Wording at 19:43 can be a bit confusing. Pretty sure the setting is applied during enrolment only and doesn't apply to already enrolled devices.
Correct the tenant wide is only for enrollment scenario, so it wouldn't apply a policy as such on your devices if they already is enrolled. The tenant wide settings is placed under enrollment which gives a hint, but I can see that I should have been more clear on when it applies. Thanks for your comment! 😀
49:21 copilot for security is really expensive thus much and fast feedback from use cases will not really flushing in I believe. But I do want to see it grow to easy the troubleshooting for IT support guys, so they can discover the issue faster and less press on second or thirdline teams
Agree to that. Let’s see where it is headed in the future.
Hi Mattias, When trying to run your app, I'm getting the following: Error: "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."
Hi Pete Is there any hardening configured on your device not allowing MSI packages to run? Try to see if this is due to the package being downloaded from internet, there are from time to time a block configured on the file from Windows side. If you look under properties, you can normally "unblock" the installer.
Thanks guys - great as always

Hi, unfortunately the repo is no longer available. Is there a way to still download the whole thing?
Yeah you can instead go here and download the files: github.com/mmelkersen/EndpointManager/tree/main/VSCode%20Automation/Application%20Automation
The problem is all the software you cant get in msi format and no silent install parameters for the exe
Luckily only very few left of that kind. For that task we need to repackage using a MSI packaging tool
What do you think the most common title would be for someone who does all this (config/build/deploy/manage AAD/intune). Would it be system administrator or IT administrator or something else? What would differentiate System Administrator from System Engineer?
Very good question. Titles are unfortunately very widely used. System engineer would be my best guess
