DIY SOLAR COOKING FOR HOME OR CAMP
มุมมอง 1.3K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
I heat up two mugs of tea and make a breakfast burrito on my small solar system each morning. It is a simple solar system, you can build, that you can cook on for five days without sun.
DIY SOLAR WITHOUT PERMITS
มุมมอง 8322 ปีที่แล้ว
By building the solar on trailers there is no need for permits, inspections etc. since they are not attached to roof or ground. My two trailers (with ten 345 watt panels) have supplied much of our electricity for the last five years and I built them by myself.
$300 DIY Home Escalator Elevator for stairs with a landing

FOR AROUND $500 YOU CAN MAKE AN ELEVATOR TO TAKE GROCERIES UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR KITCHENS FOUND IN SO MAY TOWNHOMES BEING BUILD TODAY (OR BUY A DUMBWAITER FOR AT LEAST 8 TO 12K)
MOVING STAIR HOME ESCALATOR ELEVATOR
มุมมอง 43K4 ปีที่แล้ว
FINALLY A WAY TO GET UPSTAIRS QUICKLY AND EASILY. A DO IT YOURSELF HOME SINGLE STAIR ESCALATOR AND THE REASON WE NEED A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OF STAIRS IMMEDIATELY.
kind of works similar to one of your stair lift machines but just on a smaller scale and for items instead of people and the control system is just a bit different with a garage door motor instead of the other one
Do you have builders plans
Sorry, no but the $300 video explains it better than this one
legend.
Sir, you are teaching the younger generations such value in ingenuity. Thank you for passing on your wisdom.
Thank you for sharing your ingenuity with us. I found you today while searching for a DIY dumbwaiter and have been truly blessed by watching your videos. You have a brilliant mind and a giving spirit. God bless and keep you, Sir. 🙏🏾
Ingenious Bill!

Very nice. One suggestion for anyone doing this - if the step went a bit further at the top it would not form a double step... but you would then take one step down onto the top landing.

That is brilliant !!! Would love to get this, I’d need 2, as my home is a bi-level
Sorry, it is a "do it yourself" project. Maybe you can find some-one to build them for you?
Great thinking thanks
❤
You made an awesome machine! Thanks for the ideas and tips. We are to making plans to build something for our young daughter who has difficulty walking.
Your welcome, glad to help
Nota 1000 !!!
Great video!
Sorry, I did the video to inspire "do it yourselfers"and don't make them myself.
Your invention is extraordinary, and it can help many people who have problems with their knees, feet, etc.; can you sell me one? I need it for my sister, she lives in Cancun, she has knee problems.
Sorry, I made the video for "do it yourselfers" and don't make them myself.
This is great!
a walker must be able to go up the stairs too. It's a nice leap forward but inability for a walker to advance up the stairs with a passenger is a major obstacle.
Very cool!
excellent
Thank you
That was a long time ago and I didn't write it down but the motor was a Harbor Frieght medium sized and the teeth smallest I could get so it would move slowly. Sorry
Hello Mr. Blanning Thank you for sharing these very useful inventions. I know you commented that detailed plans are not available. However, I would very much appreciate it if you could share the make and model numbers of the motors that you have used in these projects, especially the one you used in the Moving Stair Home Escalator Elevator. That would certainly save anyone who wants to duplicate your system a lot of time since there are many winch choices out there. If not the make and model, then at least the specs such as electrical power required, motor speed, torque, lift capacity, etc. Also, if you could give the specifics of the gears, such as diameters, number of teeth, that would be quite helpful. Thanks very much. Richard
Would it work outside, going up a simple 5 steps to a deck, especially in the NorthEast in the winters?
I think so ...just cover the motor, pipe and parts and brush the snow off
johnny
This is the first one I’ve seen that I’d like to install in my home. I wish there was a commercial version of this!
Csn you send details and fixing diagram..do you have in 220 volts and shipping cost to BAHRAIN
No, we have 110 volt and you have to work out the details ... it just demonstrates how I did it. Sorry
In San ant in summer....just throw a few eggs, rice and Beans and Couple of tortillas and Voila U have an Omelet in 20secs
Oh, I like that cooking pan.
Good video!
Thank you sir, wish you well and best !! ❤
Well thought through and VERY well presented! Thank you, Sir, for taking the time to share your set-up. I'm particularly interested in your solar tracking rig. What a great idea!!!
Thank you
Interesting setup. I cook directly with the sun, but that doesn't work every day or at any daytime. A system like this is much more independent from the weather.
Very interesting creation and use of solar panels on trailers.
Very interesting setup. Looks like a good introductory setup for someone who is wanting to learn more about Solar but not wanting to spend thousands of dollars.
Thanks sir. You're amazing.
Thank you
To loud.
Amazing . Keep it up. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi and thank you for your imaginative thinking and action on this subject. I have been researching products that will get me up my second floor steps for a while now and they all seem to be lacking imagination, future thinking and cost economy. I believe all houses with stairs should be designed with ease factors as well as safety solutions. I like the idea of an escalator opposed to a hang on and pray you don't fall off chair. I hope you promote your idea to home builders so that units such as yours are built into the house on inception. As for older houses this item is essential and I can see the additional importance in expanding the unit to an outside entrance. I hope you can promote this perhaps with your own company or a govt agency or some eager startup. AI -Artificial Intelligence is spoken about so much but to me it is still in the conversation stage. Time waits for no living thing and I wish ideas like yours would see life while I can still enjoy it. Thank you so much for your video. Try to post this video in the AARP magazine and others like that. Thanks again.
Would it be possible to build this as an outdoor solution to stairs? How would I protect the motor and mechanisms? Thank you kindly! I live in a steep area and can’t keep using the stairs to get to my car.
Yes, I think it would be the same but need a cover over the motor ....perhaps removable at the top of the stairs.
@@billblanning2068 Would the rail part be safe in wet weather and using in the rain? It’s just using a hoist with wire cable right? So as long as the motor is safe? But what about wet cable? Should I build an overhang to prevent as much rain as I can from getting to it? Can this be built to any steepness? Is it dependent on being built on stairs or can it be built on a slope, let’s say along the side of a stilted carport?
@@TheSoulAlignmentCoach lYes steepness doesn't matter. You might use Superstrut (Home depot electric area) to center it and certainly not need stairs except you might get stuck without them if it failed.. I found wheels with a V on thrm that could be used on superstrut but I can't remember where
@@billblanning2068 Thank you 🙏
This is probably the best idea to have the escalator for home use, not bulky or intrusive. Too bad it is not commercially available.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
No, but there are some on the $250 home escalator elevator
Bill Blanning, i think this is wonderful. Would you be willing to draw out instructions for installation?
Sorry, it is like the $250 elevator escalator, which has some instructions but there are none for this one.
Cool
Dude, You're a genius !!!!!!
Wow, that's a pretty neat setup. I especially like that switching mechanism, so simple it's elegant. A rough looking unfinished kind of elegant only certain people can truly appreciate, reminds me of the ole saying "There's nothing more permanent than a temporary solution that works."
Thanks Alex
😊 no😊😊😊
You can if you want, I am not interested in selling the idea.
Still climbing stairs manually is a good exercise.
I used to climb the stairs over riding in an elevator all the time until Fibromyalgia entered my life and changed everything. Some days, I can climb 20 steps without a problem, most times however, two steps are problematic. I used to love to hike, play tennis, walk 5 to 10 miles a day, swim and all kinds of things. Now, those things are sad to even remember. Don't get me wrong, I'm not feeling sorry for myself and don't want anyone else to feel bad for me either. Even with all this, I'm still better off than others. I count my blessings all the time. Not everyone can enjoy the climb of the stairs for many different and very real reasons, which makes the need for stair lifts real.
Could you get patent for this idea of yours, so that you can sell it
