Cynny Goes To China
Hong Kong
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 ธ.ค. 2023
Hi everyone! I'm Cynthia :)
As I get older, I'm becoming more curious about my heritage. So, I've decided to dedicate most of my travel plans to exploring one of the most historical, cultural, beautiful countries in the world: China. I'm going on an adventure to find the best hidden gems and walk the road less travelled, and to share tips on how to get around the country! Follow me on my journeys!
PS - as an added bonus, my boyfriend Nick is coming along with me on all our trips!

Uplord is really beautiful.
42rmb for 40 minutes of service? How is that business viable?
My assumption is the volume of customers they get...and also their other services, such as implants
That's crazy, how they are going to make money??
Right! But looking at the sheer volume of customers they have (even on a weekday)...
The commute cost more than the dental consultation 😂
@@ziquanlong1934 Yeh it did… 😂😂😂 How crazy is that!
Thanks for the tips, let’s give it a go!!!🤗
It really was quite good, they showed a lot of attention and care, especially at that price! Let me know what you think!
How’s the hotel ? Will u recommend?
Yes I do! The service was great, the room was clean and big and you can see the Karst mountains right across the road!
How much didi to tulou ?
It was about RMB 220 from our hotel to the Tulou area. But, I wouldn't recommend Didi for this, as they aren't allowed to go into the tourist site. Best to ask your hotel and book a car that can take you around!
@CynnyGoesToChina thanks 🙏
😊😊😊
Great video. Especially for folks like me who can’t read chinese. Your vlog is really useful , thanks
Thank you :) Glad it was useful!
Nothing on the Kowloon side?
how was riding scooters? is it easy to navigate or necessary when traveling in yangshuo?
It was easy! If you're in the old town area, it's not too big, so you can easily navigate. But, if you want to go further, you might need to use maps! I'd also suggest using Didi if you wanted to go further out as the e-scooters can't go too far
Your video is great, gives me an idea on where to go and what to order when we visit. Thank you :)
Thank you :) Glad it was helpful!
Hi! How much did you pay for the driver and car for the day? What hotel did you stay in? Thanks!
Hi! We stayed here: Nan'ao Island Hailingju (booked via Trip.com). It was 450 RMB for the island tour, including car and driver. Hope this helps!
Thank you for making this vlog! I’m from Zhangzhou, which is a smaller town that not many people know about. It's been hard to find resources in English to introduce my hometown to my non-Chinese-speaking friends, so I really appreciate having something I can use to show them where I'm from.
@@zhengyingyueelainehuang3747 I’m so happy! I hope I did a good job of showcasing your hometown 🥹🥰

謝謝🙏
Welcome to HK ❤❤
We took the Humen/Dongguan Station to Guangzhou South. Then to Guilin. We checked out the Longji Rice Terraces before heading to Yangshuo in a minibus. Our guides took us to some really good places. You visited many places we wish we had more time to see. Oh well, heading back to China for more adventures in October. Maybe Chongqing. Maybe Yunnan Province. And more videos to follow. Xie xie for sharing!
very interesting and looks like a really relaxing and enjoyable trip.. lovely scenes, thanks again for showing us such a beautiful village❤
Yes! Really hope you can visit too!
Are there any buses that run from shenzhen to hongkong after midnight?
Sorry - I'm not too sure! The bus company markets that the buses run for 24 hours, but I'm not sure about the details...
✨ Really Beautiful!
It really was!
Hi can you share the hotel you stayed at? Looks amazing. Would love to take my family there.
@@adriancham yes it really was awesome! This is the hotel: BE’IN Castles in the Air (Zhaoxing Dong Village). I booked via Trip.com! They have a lot of different rooms to choose from 🤩
Can you get nick to do the intro next time

hello , could you please let me know, in shenzhen also can use octopus card?
Hi! Unfortunately Shenzhen does not use Octopus Card. You can use the Transport Code in AliPay and WeChat though. I saw there is a new Octopus-T Union Card that you can purchase from Hong Kong, but I have never tried...
Love your videos! We're panning our Guilin/Yangshuo trip for November so your video was really helpful and timely. Can you share which hotel you were at? Did you need to go to the foreign passport line at both the Kowloon West and Guangzhou South stations to do passport verification? Also do we need a tour guide for this trip to Yangshuo? Did you need to download wechat to pay for things, or cash was ok? So many questions...Thank you in advance.
Hi! We stayed at Lihua Chen's Garden Hotel - we booked it on Trip.com. I have a Hong Kong-China permit, but yes, Nick has a foreign passport so he would have to go through the foreigner counters. Hong Kong West Kowloon is actually the entry point into Mainland China, so you will clear immigration and customs all within Hong Kong West Kowloon, and you won't need to do that when you're in Guangzhou. However, do keep your passport on you, because your passport will be your train ticket! If you don't speak any Chinese or find downloading all the apps a bit of a hassle, I think getting a tour guide would be good! You may speak with the hotel and see if they can organise a car so they can take you around the different sites. WeChat/ AliPay are the main forms of payment in the Mainland, but they will also take cash. So if you don't have WeChat and don't want to download it, you should be fine. Just note that there are quite a lot of services that are linked to those apps, so you may not be able to get access to it!
@@CynnyGoesToChina Thank you for your very helpful and prompt reply!
So glad you put the names of the restaurants in your videos so I don't have to guess or freeze frame the store front just to figure out where the restaurant is located.
More HK food and Restaurants please ❤
Hopefully coming soon :)
Merci for Information
You're welcome!
address would have been helpful
She is only not aware that she has to speak more professionally, it's not a crime. People talk like that in HK even tho we know this place is Hong Kong China. However, personally when I talk to fiends about my country, I refer hongkong as Hong Kong China and China as mainland China. It's more understandable. Almost 100 percents of the HK chinese call china 'mainland', we don't usually say China.
If youre looking for taking the train to shenzhen from hk island, not really difficult. Head to Admiralty Station and directly change the East Rail Line to either Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau. Then you can cross the border there to shenzhen directly. You can go from Admiralty to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau without any interchanges by taking the East Rail Line directly.
What’s the mall?
Can HKDs be used in Shenzhen?
Unfortunately not... they use CNY in Shenzhen. However, if you have Alipay HK or WeChat Pay HK, it should work if it's linked to your credit card!
Nice video! Im heading to SZ via HK this weekend. Last time i went to SZ was 17 yrs ago and it looks so different now. I also heard from my friends in HK that you guys go to SZ more often as a weekend getaway and hotels + food is so much better and affordable. Im excited! Thanks
@@kennethtan1822 Nice! I hope you enjoy SZ and Hong Kong!
I’m going to try the goose today ❤
Yay! Let me know what you think! Try and order the roast goose separately (i.e. half goose / upper / lower), rather than have it with rice... usually get a better cut this way!
.you know how to go to yuen long for eating roaste goose.
Thank you for introduce HK food. Even I am hongkongers , after watching your movie, I still want to eat all above of HK food.
Hope you can try some soon! Let me know what you think!

Hello i saw the video that you go 甘坑古镇 and the 24 history academy, how much time roughly did u spend over there? As I’m planning to head over there as well when I’m heading to shenzhen
Hi! We spent about 3-4 hours there as we also had a quick dinner at 甘坑古镇!
Do Filipinos need to apply visa just to travel from HK to Shenzhen (short stay over) then back to HK?
Hiya! It's probably best to check with your local authorities as I'm not sure about all the visa details... but from my understanding, yes, most people need a separate visa to go into China. However, I know China has launched a 72-hour visa-free transit arrangement, so you can have a look and see if that would work for you!
which mall did you go to for the coconut chicken? was trying to figure out based on the coconut shop you went after but my detective skills failed me...
Haha! The coconut chicken was at 卓越 INTOWN Mall! Having said so, they have many branches across the city!
Going to Shenzhen for 1 days soon, thanks for the tips! ❤
You're welcome! Enjoy!
Where we can buy a one day visa in Shenzhen.
Enjoyed your video; would also love to see Hong Kong food tour please! 👍
How did you know! That is the next video hehe :) Coming soon!
Hi I’m Malaysian chinese.I am going to Shenzhen this September . Does most people there know how to speak Cantonese? My mandarin is not that good..
Hi! Not everyone can speak Cantonese, but I believe a lot of people may be able to somewhat understand certain words... the main language is Mandarin. However, if you're able to read Chinese, you should be fine!
@@CynnyGoesToChina tq, I can’t read either. Haha.. I think I just use translation apps..
They can speak Cantonese & teochew too! You have to try水立方水疗massage spa. Decent, not sleazy.
@@CynnyGoesToChina and english😢?
@@ayouazsiham2944 from our experience not everyone spoke English! But everyone was very helpful so you will definitely be fine :)
hello I enjoyed your video, I’m currently working in HK and planning to go for 1 day Tour in ShenZhen do I need to get Visa for me to enter ShenZhen? Looking forward to your answer. Thank you!💚
Hi! Thanks for watching my video! Yes you will need a different visa to the one you have for HK if you’re looking to enter Shenzhen! You can find more information on the China Visa Application Service Centre website :)
Nice ! very informative! what is the exact address of the bus stop if I don't take the MTR please?
Hi! It should be 138 Hennessy Road :)
