Hi there! I'm Mia Hemstad - mom of 2, mental health advocate, and trauma-informed self-care coach. I'm here to walk with you on your healing journey and to help you make your wellbeing a priority, without any feelings of guilt or shame. My content will uplift you, support you on your self-care journey, and help you see that you're not alone.
I've survived abuse. I've lived through postpartum depression and anxiety. I currently am healing from PTSD, depression, and chronic pain, and I'm raising two beautiful kids. I understand how hard all of this can be. I see you, and I'm with you.

Thank you for sharing your journey with mental health and TMS. I’m sorry it didn’t help. I had it recommended to me recently by my therapist so I have been looking at it and found your channel. I have been diagnosed with ptsd, anxiety and depression and it has been going on for a long time with the ptsd symptoms getting much worse a couple years ago. Not to push unsolicited advice your way, but have you heard of Havening? I had never heard of it till I saw a therapist who specializes in it and it was extremely helpful for me. I am still struggling a bit but my extreme ptsd flashbacks and other issues have diminished from almost daily to only once a week or so and I am much more regulated. Best of luck to you!
Omg when your baby screamed at 10:30 it scared the shit out of me LOL. Amazing video though, about to have baby number 2 in June and we are engaged!! Our relationship is super important to me, I dont want things to fizzle out or get bad. Will be taking these tips to heart!

Have you thought about hallucinogens. There has been lots of research done on its beneficial effects on depression. Although it has not yet been approved, there are ongoing studies being done. I am glad to hear you are doing better.
With my major depression this time of year it's really hard to want to any doctor appointments and missing my daddy this time of year.

@@BeautifulLibra I applied for a job that I could do remotely. My employer is in the United States.
When we're actually feeling our lowest is when we need to step up our self-care.

Thank you for sharing your journey w us. I am looking into tms for my depression I am bipolar ptsd adhd anxiety obsessive compulsive disorder. I am struggling w many issues in life right now. Money problems. Not wkg. Almost losing my home. My car is wrecked. A divorce on the horizon. Dealing w not being worthy or loved. Not being needed as before is traumatizing. Unfaithful spouse. Plays a big role in my self worth due to I was not enough for him. He didn’t even want me intimately but wanted others. I know I am enough. I know I am worthy. It’s hard to find that strength n acceptance that it is his problem not mine. I try to shine daily though some days I just feel down. Unaccomplished. Also hitting mid life w severe health issues. My life is declining at a rate much faster than I could hv imagined. I lose sight of getting better as much as I can do personally. I lose hope when I hv bad days. I am working on finding a new career bc my body can take the physical wk I was doing. I am good at many things. Through my daily struggles it’s hard to find refuge n finding a job that understands the struggle is few n far in between. I pray for better days for everyone. Thank you for sharing. There are answers out there. Keep searching. Find ur happiness n peace. May we all find our center n be loved. Love n light my friends. Many blessings. Thank you

I would like to suggest reading the bible as a way to build up hope. Especially when you read the bible and pay attention to the stories and not just each scriptures. I love how the people in the bible were people, just like us, that went through many problems but believed in the Lord and his promise to us. That gave me SO much assurance. I hope this may help. What you do is really helpful,thank you! I would like to add 3 more things that helped me to reduce my anxiety: 1. Journaling: just pouring my thoughts on paper, telling it everything as to a good friend 2. Cutting off toxic relationships: I used to tell my friends, how burned out I was, and later I noticed how judgemental and stigmatading they got. That made me doubt myself even more. Well now, at 41 I finally understand how wrong it was to share my most intimate thoughts. 3. Praying to God. I am not religious, but I started turning to God every time I felt overwhelmed, started listening to preachers and I found out, that we shound't be racing all the time, restless mind is smth the satan wants from us....and Jesus always hears our prayers,so we should rely on him to hold us like a child. I hope it doesn' t sound corny, but now I feel his presence in my life and I never felt so peaceful. I wish you all the best Mia, you are amazing!
