If West Africa is bigger than the whole EU why is the EU a peninsula called a continent. It’s called aggrandizement. African geography books must be changed to reflect the truth.
You are mistaking the entire European continent with EU countries: The EU is a 27 member union with a total area of 4.2 million sq km. West Africa covers an area of 5.1 million sq km. EU countries cover a fraction of the entire European continent.
There's no military-industrial complex in Ghana. The only country in Africa with anything resembling a military industrial complex is South Africa. The images you're showing are toys put together by a private individual. They are a joke!

West Africa Region is made of countries in the west and the Sahel region, which are mainly francophones situated towards the central and north Africas. It is the Sahel region that has instability and is currently all under military rule. The rest are relatively safe.
